Alice twisted away from his hand, nearly tripping over her own feet as she continued toward the door walking backwards. "Bullshit, don't even try and act like you understand a single thing. And I'm not going through anything!" she hissed, glaring at him. As soon as her hand went to the door Alice realized what she was doing. He hadn't done anything and yet she was raising her voice at him. Finally she sighed, putting a hand to the side of her head. "Oh my gosh- Lucas I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be a jerk. I just- I need to go home. Please...please just pretend today didn't happen. I'll do the stupid project with you then I'm done. Just...leave me alone, okay? I don't know why you care, but I don't need you telling everyone to watch out for me."

She looked down, fidgeting with her bag. "I gotta go. No more questions that don't have to do with the project. Doesn't make sense to ask," she muttered, attempting to go outside again. It was raining, though not as hard as before.

Aww well didn't that end beautifully! ;D

And now to make him love her for real....haha
Alice shook her head, finally looking over at her partner. He was cute when asking for such a small favor, nibbling at that bottom lip of his. No, it only seemed small. The repercussions of telling him could be painful, even if only on a social level, nevermind her grandmother’s warning of how it might hinder her after her school years. “No offense Lucas, but I know your type. You’re trying to pry information out of me with that damn look in your eyes so you can whisper about it in the halls with your buddies.”

Her breathing had quickened a bit, her heart pounding her chest. She’d stayed quiet for so long, but this time Alice immediately went on the defensive, exaggerating the situation in her mind as if he’d been pushing her this entire time. All because she was assuming his personality. “I’ve worked hard to keep this secret, and you know as well as I do how cruel people our age can be. Hell, how cruel everyone can be! First it’s about the project, but then it becomes a game for you boys. Do you honestly think anyone would treat me the same if they know what I-“

Her heart stopped. As did her breathing, and her eyes widened as they stared at one another. No…no, no, no. A string of curses went through Alice’s mind as she realized what she’d said, yet again letting her emotions get the best of her. Alice rarely got angry, but it was probably a fear driving her frustration this time.

Did he catch it? Probably, but Alice wasn’t going to stick around and find out. Lucas brought something out of her, though she wanted to blame it on being mentally exhausted. After school was for being with a couple girls for ice cream or staying in the art room, going home to watch movies on the couch. Nothing more. Not two seconds after she’d stopped speaking Alice jumped up, glad she’d kept her shoes on when she came in. “I have to go. We’ll talk about the project over the phone or something. Tomorrow,” she told him quickly, rushing to the entrance of the kitchen to grab the bag she’d tossed to the corner. “Don’t worry about a ride, either. I’m happy to walk home, I like the exercise.”
”Now, my dear Ms. Abbott,” he objected. “Such statements make me jealous. Do you wish to inform me that you prefer the company of men in uniform more than mine?”

“What?” Claire gasped, quickly reviewing what she’d said in her mind to get why he would say such a thing. “Nick, no, I swear that’s not my intention,” she quickly tried to reassure him. Funny, a few hours ago she wouldn’t have care what he thought, but now him thinking she was the cheating, lying woman everyone else saw her as was disheartening. He was her husband, or at least would be. She may have an important job to do and different priorities than everyone else, but Claire Abbot still held family as something to be treasured. Especially after seeing those little beds that would one day hold her children…

“I just- if you want to build your name up in society, they would be the perfect people to associate with. I’ll keep in mind why you are marrying me when have our little get-togethers,“ she added, a little put out by how often the topic of her leaving him had come up. Was this really how it would be for the rest of their lives, her assignment making it look like she was a deceitful wife? “Despite what you think, I do have a few morals, Nicholas.”

Claire was ready to leave. The place was gorgeous, but she would have the rest of her days to look upon the growing landscape and large, empty rooms. Yet as soon as she lowered her hands and opened her mouth to suggest they go Nicholas pulled his tiny gift out. It was unexpected to say the least, but she quietly and impatiently waited to see what was within the tiny box.

“Oh…” It was beautiful and had to be worth quite a bit. But more than the money, he actually got her something and was giving it while not in front of her father or a crowd of people. Better yet, he knew there was no reason to fake any amount of adoration with her. “Nicholas, I don’t understand,” she whispered, reaching out to touch the diamonds, her eyes glistening in awe, “I agreed to marry you, there’s no reason for this.” Yet she couldn’t deny the thought was sweet. He may have ulterior motives for marrying her, but Nicholas didn’t seem like the villain she had made him out to be. In a moment of complete spontaneity and for the sake of giving this arranged relationship a shot Claire stepped forward and leaned close enough to place a simple, gentle kiss on Nick’s lips. It was quick but lasted long enough for him to know it meant more than as a thank you. He may have gifts and a house to show, but she wanted to be the one to make the first move romantically if anyone was going to. Besides…it was kind of nice. His lips were soft, inviting, and it sent a spark through her body to the pit of her stomach. She had experienced less kisses than he probably would believe.

“It’s absolutely gorgeous. Will you help me put it on?” she asked with a sly grin, turning around and moving the few strands of hair that had fallen from her up-do so the chain wouldn’t catch on them. “This has been…better than I expected, at least. I suppose the next time I’ll see you, you’ll be the one at the end of the aisle and I’ll be in that lovely white dress, hm? I still plan on letting someone else pick everything else- I could care less. Except for that dress…perhaps I’ll talk to the tailor about it,” she said thoughtfully, as if speaking to herself now.
Wow, i have to say that's certainly a beautifully written search thread lol if it weren't for my need to fade to black when it came down to it, I'd so take you up on this!
  • I usually respond once a day, sometimes every other day (it all really depends on when you post and how long the responses are)

  • I’ve written from one paragraph up to 3 pages, so for me it really all depends on what you give me. I do want to establish beforehand, however, how you expect it to go, because if it goes below a couple paragraphs on a regular basis in MOST cases I’ll get bored.

  • I mostly rp over thread, but if you want to do it over something else just ask, we’ll talk.

  • I NEED characters with depth, with feelings, and wants, and dreams, and fears, and I want to know all of them throughout the rp. Also on your end: I get mistakes, but constant grammar errors are a no-no. You know what I mean.

  • Depending on the story and plot, I can play female or male.

  • I don't have a ton of limits, which is important for that modern college rp down there. Drug abuse, any kind of abuse really, violence, runaway...that's life, and that's drama that keeps an rp going.

I used to have a bunch of plots listed here, but since they were getting very few responses, I'm just going to throw out some pairings. Honestly I hate starting with just a pairing, they usually crash and burn, so I normally have a plot in the back of my mind for anything below. Or I'd love to hear what you have in mind.

Before you go on, know that I am really, really dying for a good romance where I play female. If that's not what you PM me about, then that's okay, but a drama and action filled rp with a couple that grows to love each other...yeah, I'd kill for one right now!

Also something with an underdog type guy, maybe? My female characters are anything but weak, so maybe some guy that needs a helping hand or....I don't know. I'm rambling at this point.

Anyway, PM me if any of these sound interesting :)

-simple modern college male x female (there are a thousand and one plots contained in this, I have one that's been going on for about a year and a half now)
-hired guard on a mission x wolf shifter (actually have a cool, detailed plot for this)
-arranged marriage (fantasy/medieval or modern)
-a medieval or futuristic war setting...have a couple ideas, would love to hear yours
-assassin x trainee
-psychic ability rp
-chatroom meeting (this one starts out pretty conversation based for obviously reasons. very laid back rp)
-time travel...reading a book on this at the moment, have a few ideas

I'm sure there's more...I'll add to the list as I think of them. Any fantasy idea you have I'd probably be up for. I don't do many fandoms, however. The only actual stories I an think of that I would want to rp from are:

Hawksong
Arrow of the Queen (book you probably haven't heard of)
Assassin's Creed
Fable
Alice nodded, glad he wasn't looking at her. He felt...sadness. It bothered her, and yet the young man in front of her really did care. He didn't seem like the type to go blabbering about it to the whole school, despite being one of the jocks. Course he wasn't on the team this year, so that title really didn't work for him anymore. "It's not all bad," she encouraged with a smile, taking a quick drink. "Once everything is under control. If someone's sad, she can make them feel better without them even knowing it was her. And- and there's more," Alice went on, not wanting to get to the project just yet.

"My friend, she can do more. Have you ever heard of psychometry?" Alice asked, smiling now. "It's pretty incredible! All she has to do is touch an object and she sees it's history, from recent all the way back to- well, however long she wants to sit there and watch. It can be anything. A toothbrush, a shirt...that's hard to control too, of course, but it's more based on "willing" herself to do it than happening on accident like the emotion stuff. But yeah, just imagine what can be learned! It can be helpful," she said, realizing she was sitting up straight, getting excited. If only she could show him! "Like to figure out if a guy cheated on you in his own bed..." she added with a roll of her eyes, pushing her empty glass of coke to the side.
Jasper nodded to Jaii, shoving his hands in his pockets. “I ah…thanks for the offer, but I’ll be getting back to the city as soon as possible,” he said. “Thanks again, Vera.” With that he headed upstairs, Kennedy following just like he’d offered. “You got a room yet?” he asked her, turning a corner until he reached where he’d been staying. He was just as messy as the stereotypical bachelor, a few crumpled shirts on the floor and the bed not made. “I hate to leave this room, has the most floor space, but I guess it doesn’t really matter. All of them share bathrooms and have the big beds,” he shrugged, pulling out a duffle bag and starting to put his things in them. He had rented a storage that held most his things, which was yet another financial burden at the moment.

“So what’s your story?” he asked, looking up at her as he went through a couple drawers. “I’m sure leaving your pack for this one you left some family behind. I know I did when I left Vera’s.” Jasper zipped the first bag up, looking up at her with a smile. “I can just feel the tension downstairs. Must have been a nasty split.”
Vera smiled at Rhea, putting a hand on her shoulder. “I trust you, hun. I’m just a little more anxious than normal, I’m sorry. Kennedy is getting the medical kit, she should be back up any second,” she said, returning to Jaii’s side. “And as for being alpha,” she murmured, leaning down so she could be at eye level with him. “that’s what I wanted to talk to you about. I’m still with my pack of course, but the others…have you formed a pack yet? I’ve never seen anyone break off and immediately join another, so I wondered if you all are just a bunch of lone wolves or if you’re together,” she explained, trying to distract him from the pain with conversation.

More than that would probably help. Vera hesitantly reached out and ran her fingers through his hair, though she looked a bit uncomfortable with the action. They really needed to be alone before the day was over. “How does it feel? Can you really feel everyone connected to you in a way?” she asked, glancing at the others in the room. “Choosing a beta would be a wise decision, I agree.”

It was then that Kennedy came back up, placing the supplies on the table and bringing her surprise guest along with her. Jasper was slouching with his hands in his pockets, though it did little to help him stay unnoticed. Course Kennedy announced his arrival as soon as they reached the top of the stairs! Great.

Their eyes met instantly, Jasper looking at Vera over Kennedy’s shorter figure. “Where the h-“

“Before you get mad,” Jasper quickly interjected, stepping around Kennedy so he could talk properly to the woman, “please keep in mind I left on good terms. Vera, I- hear me out,” he sighed, to which she rolled her eyes and put her hands on her hips.

“This had better be good…”

“It is. Well, good excuse, bad for me. Vera, I lost my job a couple months…you know how hard it is for a lone wolf, it’s like appearing in a new country with no real identity or connections. I’m getting back on my feet but I needed a place to live. I never thought anyone would show up here…much less you,” he sighed, rubbing the back of his head. He was usually a confident, excited being but right now he was looking a little broken down. “You a part of this pack now or somethin’?”

Vera groaned, rubbing her temple with her index finger. “Not yet,” she answered, looking back at Jaii. “Look, I need to get him some water. Let’s talk…” And so the two went over to the fridge, Vera letting out a curse when she realized he’d been using electricity and water. “Forget it, I’ll take the blame,” she murmured before going on to explain the situation…and her mating. Honestly, she felt bad for the guy. He’d been through a lot, losing his fiancée when she, a week before the wedding, found her true mate. Bond or no bond, he’d loved her, and while everyone understood why she left and that that was part of hooking up when there was no real bond present, it was still painful to watch. He’d left soon after that, wanting to get away from it all. Who wouldn’t pity him?

Eventually Vera came back with a damp rag and a glass of water, though she didn’t really know if Jaii even wanted it. “Guys, this is Jasper…he ah, used to be part of my pack, but now he’s on his own. He’ll be sticking around for a while,” she said before turning her attention on her mate once more.

“My stuff is in the master bedroom,” Jasper laughed, glancing toward the stairs. “Guess it’s yours now, you’re the alpha, right?” he asked Jaii before nudging Vera, “and yours too, hm? I’ll move it now”

“Shut up, you idiot,” Vera hissed, though her cheeks turned a light shade of red.

Jasper turned his attention back to Kennedy, the same lopsided grin present that he’d worn downstairs. “Want to come help me? Things are a bit too gloomy down here for my taste.”
