Enasi held himself tighter, trying to fight the tears. It was hard to do, and only harder when he felt a sudden pressure wrapping around him. It was a hug. Seishu had gotten up to hug him. That was more than enough to get the tears to flow. His silent sniffles made him shake lightly, and he mentally scolded himself for being so sensitive. Eventually, he slips a hand up to wipe the tears, but never showed his face. His head was lifted, and the look in Enasi's eyes was much different than Seishu's. He may have had a blank look but Enasi's eyes were full of sadness and frustration still.

But then. Seishu kissed him. It was different from the first time. Not only did have so much more feeling, despite it being seconds, but Enasi. . .kissed him back instead of letting it happen. 'You're going to be the reason I go crazy... And probably break.' The redhead could only hold on so much to his senses. He let Seishu speak, not interrupting once. This time when Seishu hugged him, Enasi hugged him back.

The first thing he managed to say, with a broken voice was, "You're an idiot..." He wiped an eye and spoke again. "And Crios will be upset to know you got out of bed. We want you healed remember?" Slowly, the dream guardian rubbed his counterpart's back and then began to help him up. Carefully, letting most of Seishu's weight rest on him, he walked him back to his bed and then pulled the blanket over him. Instead on walking off, he sighed and sat on the edge of the bed, not facing him. His head slumped into his hands and he gave a drawn out sigh.

"I'm. . . I'm sorry. I didn't mean to get upset with you." Well, what did you expect? Of course the dream guardian would apologize.

Coincidentally for Starla, Finn was making his way to the garden himself. He needed to relax and being cooped inside didn't help. "Finn!" He focused his gaze to see his sister waving him down. He made his way down, taking in the fresh air and the nature around him. Quietly, he sat by his sister and laid down closing his eyes.

"Talk to me flower." He stretched in comfort.

Starla smiled at the little nickname and began her rambles. "So I've been thinking. We don't need to know the answer."

Finn never moved from his rejuvenating. "Explain."

"Think about it. None of the others know exactly what they have. But they know something is there. We just have to have that first step. I was talking to Harper and when I told him that I'd be willing to protect something I had no real interest in, he said I was on the right track." It wasn't sharing information, and Finn had an interest in the nightmare, so she spoke. "Now we just need that first step... unless that is first step."

Finn opened his eyes, realizing that that was true. Crios even said he didn't know his own something. So why were they trying so hard? Finn still wanted to talk to Seishu, but he decided to save it for later. Before the siblings came in with their revelations.
Aoba had missed many of Kuro's small smiles and gestures. Though when Kuro snapped at him, he playfully poked his nose before continuing on. When Seishu congratulated him, Aoba looked a little guilty. "I kind of. . . I kind of had to say that you would have attacked me if I didn't, um, numb the pain." He poked his fingers together gently after putting the needle up. "It wasn't exactly a lie, but- but I trust you. And I didn't think- or at least I don't think you would attack me. So. . . It wasn't exactly a lie." He knew Kuro didn't much mind a few little minor 'sins', but telling himself such a thing made him feel as though it wasn't all that bad.

Aoba begins the burning treatment, occasionally glancing over as Kuro would twitch. This was his first time ever doing this, and he didn't want to- well there was a lot of things he didn't want to do- that mainly being, killing Kuro. "This is really bad..." He mumbled in the midst of his work. It made him a little uneasy and nervous, but when Kuro spoke he relaxed a little. There was a sad look in his eye at the knowledge that Kuro might not have made it after his next session but he quickly shook the thought away. He had to focus. The better he healed Kuro, the more likely he would survive. "Um. . ." Aoba thought what he wanted to ask. "Do demons have different forms? I've seen. . . Things like monsters and the likes. At first I thought it was to just scare the younger angels so they wouldn't think about ever going near you guys but," He paused in the burning, mainly to wrinkle his nose at the smell of burning flesh. Gently, he tugged Kuro's hair and shrugged. "You don't look very scary. Well, besides when your angry. But the guards over there look kind of scary when they're angry too."

In the middle of his work, the fatigue began to settle as well. Not getting much sleep did start to back fire, especially now with him using so much energy to heal Kuro. Aoba turned his head, covering a small yawn, before he once again started to try and fix him. "This smells pretty bad..." He mumbled to Kuro, moving to the last wound. The process lasted longer than his usual ones, so the guards, or at least Green decided to watch skeptically. Red occasionally glanced inwards to check them out.
'I knew this was coming. For some reason, I felt that it would. . . But why does it so hurt?' Seishu starts on with his cruel words, and Enasi only listened. His fists balled, but he stayed silent and kept a straight face. 'Why is he so... angry? What have I done wrong? Why won't you just tell me-." He bit his tongue as he thought. It was very hypocritical of him to think. Even he knew he didn't tell people about his own feelings. If Seishu was right about anything, masked stress was one. But it was for his minions' own good. He didn't want to have them stressing over something they couldn't fix. 'But why can't he understand that?'

As Seishu spoke of the kiss, something struck in Enasi. It made his cheeks burn in a sad frustration, anger even. And before he could hold his tongue, he exploded. The guardian stood, planning on leaving. But not without a few words. "You know what, maybe I am pathetic. Maybe I do mask all the stress I have- but at least I'm not such a jerk about it. You want to know something? That kids was a challenge for me. As a guardian I would assume you could read emotions better than that- I always care how things make other people feel. It's the one thing that makes me, me. I care. I worry. Do I show it? No! Because I'd rather keep everyone else happy than myself!" Enasi thought about leaving, even going to the door- but instead he leaned against it.

"I didn't care how it made you feel? Seishu, you cried. Why wouldn't I care how that made you feel? And did it ever occur to you that maybe, just maybe that I could have cared just a little too much? Or are you just too high and arrogant to  think that maybe after being with you for so long that maybe I didn't think you were such an annoying menace? That maybe you could have been considered a decent person? But every time I think something highly of you. . . You end up being a jerk! I don't even know why I-" His voice caught in his throat before he finished the sentence. The last thing he wanted to admit was that he actually liked Seishu- even if he had just admitted it over and over. "I don't even know why I try." Enasi sighed and slid to the floor. By that time, his voice was a whisper. His eyes threatened to tear up, but he never cried. He just sat on the floor, out of view from the other guardian. The rise and fall of his own energy had finally settled, and the occasional negative energy had disappeared as well.

The dream guardian sat there,  with his legs pulled up and his head lowered into them. There was no place he could go to hide away from the world, so he say there in silence.

Starla sighed and collapsed amongst a bed of lilies. She inhaled the smell of the flowers and relaxed into them. She exhaled and closed her eyes. . “I feel like I would do anything for Lord Enasi, even if it means guarding something I have no real interest in beyond what my lord wants of me.” The thought ran through her head over and over. If she was on the right track, how could she get a step forward? And she wondered how her brother was handling the situation. Starla remembered she wasn't suppose to talk to him about her answers, and it only made everything a lot more complicated.

The two always shared everything. They were always in sync but now, it was a lot more complicated. "Why do you have to be so complicated?"

Finn thought over what Crios said. "So the guardian is a softie on the inside. He may act all mean and cruel, but he really isn't." He looked up at Crios and the fox gave a small shrug.

"I don't think it's much of an act. He really is cruel. But he can't help it. It's in his nature." Crios crossed his arms, and continued walking.

"Unlike my sister, I am actually more curious about the nightmare. I wanted to know more about him. Sure, I was going to do this because our guardian said we were capable. But I actually wanted to do it."

A small smile broke onto Crios' face. "I think you're on the right track. You've started with why you want to. Instead of just saying 'because our guardian said so.' But now, I do believe it's more of what you'll do about it. But then again, I could be wrong. After all, I'm still not sure of my own something." The doctor chuckled lightly.

"I don't know what I'm looking for in order to ask a question. But, actions do speak louder than words. Do you think I'd be able to talk to him?"

Crios thought about the seriousness of when Seishu kicked them out. He frowned a little, sensing something wrong. It reminded him of his uneasiness leaving the two guardians alone. "Not as of now. Maybe later... the two guardians are having an important... discussion. Give it some time."

Finn's eyebrow raised, catching the hesitation in his voice. "Alright." He wouldn't go and sneak a peek like Starla would, but now he wondered what their important discussion was. But if the higher ups didn't get to know, he really knew that he'd have no business trying to find out.
Well, there's no real order. I'm fine with you posting again.
Summer is going slow and monotone, but I'm not in school so I can't complain. Though minutes ago I discovered my report card came in x.x

And no sad movies from me. Sorry Foxfox.
Welcome back Fox!
*awaits upcoming chapter in anticipation*
Welcome back Fox and hello to you people.

And not to worry. I'm all for deadly situations.
"It's obvious that he's not happy. I only want what's best for him. And if I can't give that to him, I guess it wouldnbe better to give him to someone who can." Once again Enasi looked at him, noticing the smirk before he got defensive. "Of course I care about him. I've raised him as my own. And even so, he's a kind and adorable kid." The last bit was never answered. Enasi knew he was to 'sweet for gods own good'. That's what he got for being the 'embodiment of positive energy'. It was an occupational ordeal.

As he listened to Seishu, there was a small twinge of remembrance of their little game of pouncing and attacking. And then the slight twinge of sadness of having to let Inui go. Seishu spoke of their little game as if there was nothing to it, but he couldn't believe that it was no big deal. He wasn't going to. Enasi tried to keep his emotions under control as they ran a mile a minute with his brain. Here were so many disadvantages to being so worrisome. This being one. "For the first case, I guess that you're right. I should have given him up when I could have. . . Not like there were many opportunities." He paused as he pondered his reaction when waking after the kiss. 'A lose, lose? Not necessarily. . .

That's what he wanted to say, but instead, Enasi carried on the conversation. He clenched the seat a little and focused on relaxing. "As for the second scenario, he spoke gently. "Challenges only make you grow stronger. . . They teach you life lessons and things that'll help you on the future." It was all he said before he fell silent once more.

Finn and Starla leaned against a wall, waiting for an idea or something to strike down into their creative minds. "You've got Balance and you have these personality traits. What does it mean? What does it mean?" The plant  boy paced around in the hall. It only made it a little more frustrating to know that whatever answer he got, he couldn't say it out loud and give his sister a potential answer.

"Don't blow a fuse bro. While you think of something, I'll head back to Harper. He may have had more to tell me. Besides, like you and Harper said. We have time." With a salute, she jogged off to find the rabbit to talk to him more.

"Maybe. . . It's how- No." Finn was determined to get the right answer. Now that he had set the goal, he aimed to get to it. He slid against the wall and sat against it to focus. Maybe.... it's how each personality effects the balance- or the two guardians. . . That could be it. Finn sat on the floor thinknng it over. Sure it was something, but he had just met the guy. His personality couldn't already effect the two guardians already. So he just scratched the idea for the time being and continued to think it over. 'What does it matter? I could say I'd protect him with my life as many times as I want, but the guardian would have to believe it. He probably believes Rue because he's so seemingly innocent and in want to help everyone. It seems he wants to keep Enasi happy by keeping the guardian happy. He couldn't get the full grasp of it, and he wasn't so sure if he broke even the ice to figure it out.

Stella on the other hand had back to Harper, who was still enjoying his walk. "Figure it out yet?" He asked, not even having to look down when the girl fell in step with him.

"Not even close." She sighed and crossed her arms.

"Since you know it's not something physical, that means it has to be mental or emotional, right? Well have you ever thought that maybe you are over thinking it? Maybe it's something you feel." He shrugged a little as he walked along the castle edges.
"Girly I don't think you get it. The captain told you to move." A larger male slammed his hand on the bar counter, making Runa's glass shake. With one finger, she stopped it and glanced up at the bulky male now in front of this 'captain' he spoke of. His fists clenched as he watched the one eyed girl casually sip the glass of water. She was way too calm to be in such a situation. In the background, the captain without a name chuckled add his crew came and riled the place up. Chairs were being tossed, tables are flipped and a lot of arguing took place. "Get up or I'll move you myself!"

"You wouldn't hit a kid would you? Especially one with only one eye?" Her question was answered when the bulky male reached out to grab her. "Whoa." She leaned forward, barely missing his meaty clutches. "I guess that's a yes." As the male swung a punch this time, the one eyed girl spun in the bar stool only to jab his arm twice with her finger tips. "That was close." She hopped onto the counter and picked up her cup. "You're not going to feel that till the morning. Along with," While he was in shock that his arm had fell limply to his side all of a sudden, Runa managed a few more jabs making him collapse all together. "Now you're just jello. Don't worry, it'll wear off by tomorrow." She tipped her hat, only to maneuver backwards so she was leaning backwards on the counter top and holding on the edges with her finger tips. "Uh, bartender... do you mind?" Setting his clean glasses away, he casually pushed Runa's hat onto her head before going back to his post, watching as the tavern was destroyed.

'Why did I even get this job...
Obviously, this happened more than once for the poor bartender.

What made the girl have to lean backwards was a grumbling captain with a sword. "You bastard, what did you do!? What kind of magic-" Oh great, he was dumb too. The fight didn't last very long, mostly because it consisted of Runali dodging novice attacks with ease. The entire time, she managed to stay on the counter top and on her toes, occasionally on her hands too. "Stay still so I can stab you. . ." He growled out before finally, the one eyed girl stepped on his sword and kicked him in his face.

"Now why would I do that?" She jumped off the counter top and sat back in her seat. "I hope those guys got the stuff they needed." She mumbled about her own crew and looked around. The pirates around here were pretty sensitive if they were going to fight over something as little as a seat. That was probably too much fighting in the matter of a day if she stayed in the town. And the girl didn't have a death wish. Somewhere in the midst of fighting, she heard a familiar voice singing. Her head turned toward the sound, as she dodged a random flying object to spot Ray grabbing a drink and going. Their eyes met briefly before Runa was distracted again.

With a lot of people unconscious and sprawled out thanks to the sudden uproar, Runali smirked ever so slightly and began hopping from area to area grabbing free loot. Some of which she kindly gave to the bartender. "Thanks for the water. And these guys are sorry about the damage, so they decided to make it up to you."

The bartender gave a genuine smile. "That was nice of you. I appreciate it miss." Runali merely tipped her hat and turned. "I think it's about time for me to be leaving." She said, now with a new set of coin pouches jingling as she walked out. "Hm, maybe I should get a new eyepatch." She assumed everyone was on their way back so she decided not to keep them waiting. Turning her head, she looked over at Kai who was looking as intimidating as usual. "Hmph, you didn't have to wait out here you know." Runali was still getting used to the fact that she had a "personal guard". She didn't mind it, but it was something to adjust to, like the new crew.

"Well c'mon Kai. I'm sure everyone is heading to the ship now. And I think I've made a few friends." She jingled a few of the coin pouches she 'recieved' as she led the way back.

Unfortunately for her, some of those pirates weren't hit over the head hard enough, and were probably going to come after the girl soon enough.
Aoba paused in his work when Kuro spoke. He could almost feel the pain as the other spoke. "That's no good..." He mumbled more to himself as he worked on cleaning him off. "You shouldn't talk if you can't. Don't hurt yourself more. I'll get to those injuries once I'm done cleaning." To get him as well as possible, Aoba was a little more meticulous today than he was before. "You should just stay quiet then. You're making these sessions worse. And I really, really hope they can't get any worse than this..." His voice held worry and concern, but it was low so the guards couldn't hear.

Aoba focused, going silent for awhile as he moved from Kuro's arms to his back all the way to his legs. He didn't respond to much of anything he said minus a few nods and hums of acknowledgment. Gently, he cleaned up the blood around his mouth and gave him a towel to get comfortable on. "Alright Kuro. Time for the actual healing." He scooted and gently held Kuro's face in his hands. With a soft breath, his hands glowed dimly and he healed the wounds in his mouth. "There. That should help. And now you can talk." Aoba gave a smile and playfully and gently patted his cheek before going to heal both his arms, and then his legs.

The process was slower this time as well. But Aoba didn't mind. It meant he could spend more time with Kuro. "I've gotten better with these." He managed to heal the wounds a lot faster than before. Something occured to him as he worked on the wounds that were able to close on his back. "You can't have another session, you'll die! You've lost way too much blood!" His voice rose involuntarily, making the guards turn quickly.

"Oi! Is there a problem in there!?" Green hit the cell bars, scaring Aoba. The little angel jumped and looked back at the guards.

"Sorry. It's- It's fine." Aoba looked away quickly and flinched gently when Green grumbled in annoyance. He sighed and then rummaged through his kit. "So, I managed get to sedatives to numb the pain." The angel looked fairly happy to tell him such a thing, before he had to tell him the next part. "Unfortunately, my next task requires burning... I'm not skilled enough to heal these. Sorry." His voice softened and he looked down at the needle in his hands. He really wanted to help, but he lacked the experience and he could only do so much for him.

"But don't worry, I'll do the best I can." His optimism countered the small doubt and he held Kuro's arm. "I'm sure you can handle a small poke right?" He hesitates at first but carefully injects him with the sedatives, then waits for a response.
