The army of soldiers came to a halt. Their new weapons were now pointed to Luro and Marcos. The general of the army raised his hand, telling the soldiers to wait. Marcos pleaded his case. With a great deal of persuasion, and the fact that Ray was with them to vouch, the general instructed for the men to take down the two other pirate ships and take their treasures to pay for the damage they caused. It didn't require the entire army, only a handful of soldiers needed to do the job. The rest went after Fenn and his crew. After so much trouble they put up with, those pirates had to be eradicated. Soldiers never liked pirates anyway...

And this was further shown when a part of their plan went awry. They were going to subdue the pirates and prosecute them later after they looted the ships but with the explosion it didn't turn out that way. Instead soldiers were diving in the water and now preparing to attack them as well.

* * ! * *

Just as all hope was lost for the three, now four because a few pirates spotted Danny, the sounds of anger and rage filled the air. The sounds of feet hitting the ground and metal clanking together only got louder and no one could make of it until one pirate yelled:

"The army has gotten free!"

And as soon as it was said, that pirate had a bullet in his chest and so did a few others. War had started, and the army was intent on winning. In the heat of battle, Arthur, the young soldier, noticed the few pirates fighting against other pirates. He hurried over to them, making sure he didn't look as if he planned to attack. He ran up to Nolan first. "Here. I think you all will be able to make use of this. I have to help my soldiers, and I wouldn't waste one grenade if we only have one." He handed the grenade to Nolan, nodded, and picked up a fallen pirate's gun and sword. The grenade that Ray had was one found with the weapons, and he decided the pirate could use the diversion. Kai was already heading towards the cliff in order to catch the ship before it passed. He wasn't going to let Fenn get away.

With the help of the army, the StarDusk crew had gotten a huge advantage. Now it was just the matter of saving the princess- the captain had not rose to the surface yet, and stopping Fenn.

What would they do?

On Luro's end, the group of soldiers that went out searching for the royals had returned, with the King and Queen in tow. And the Queen didn't look too happy. Even the King, and Haru, were behind her, not wanting to face her wrath. "Sir-?" The king silenced the assistant and shook his head. "Hell hath no fury like a woman's scorn... Let her be, before we're the ones that are bitten." Haru nodded and listened to the woman. In his arms was Koi, Princess Vivi's pet. The animal was rather worried about his companion, considering they were inseparable, but even he was quiet while Queen Natalia spoke to the ones on the Coral Pearl. "Stand down! All of you!"

Almost immediately, the soldiers stopped and moved from the Coral Pearl. They didn't intend to make the Queen any angrier.

"Both of you! I demand to know where she is! My daughter, where is Princess Vivi!?" The Queen was yelling with a teary expression. She wasn't angry, it was just her motherly instinct to worry so much for her child....And the fact that pirates were putting her in danger!? King Richard tried to console her, but failed. He was upset as well, but he knew panicking would only make things worse. The guards that were surrounding the royals spoke up. "Our sources say that your crew went after Fenn, and our Princess was with him last. That, and on the King's orders, a group of our finest will be on their way to help you rebuild your ship- for your services to saving the King and Queen."

It was obvious that the soldiers didn't approve, but knowing that friends of Kai had rescued them, the King and Queen were utmost grateful.

Vivi's lungs were burning. She tried to struggle against the chains tying her together. She tried and tried, hoping for someone to save her. As her vision blurred, she could've sworn she saw something coming towards her. Whatever it was.... it was coming quite fast.

Runali saw the fish and nearly gaped, losing some air she had. She mentally cursed herself for doing such, but swam faster as the sharp looking fish got to Vivi. It darted back and forth at the girl, only managing to snare the chains. Fortunately, it loosened the chains by the time Runali was close enough. She reached out and grabbed the princess only to see the fish coming towards them both. The captain quickly pulled the chain up so the fish bit it. It gave her a window of time to swim away, which she took the liberty to try and swim upwards. She managed to get Vivi some air before she gave out, causing the girl to cough and wheeze- only to scream when the girl saving her was pulled back under water. Vivi paddled away, turning back only to see red at the surface...

There was too much water in her system to scream out anymore. Thankfully, her swimming lessons had gotten her speeding as fast as she could to the shore. She didn't want to die like the one that sacrificed herself to save her. A few soldiers caught sight of the princess and two immediately dove in to retrieve her. The princess had several scratches and bleeding cuts thanks to that fish, and she was suddenly coughing and spewing up water. "It's alright Princess! We've got you, we'll take you to-"

"W-Wait...S-Save the-" Vivi spit up more water and pointed to the eminent pool of blood that was a little farther off. One of the soldiers dove down and swam downward immediately spotting the girl. He caught sight of the fish struggling in the chains and Runali sinking. He caught her and hurried to shore. They did the emergency procedure of clearing their lungs both of water, although Vivi was sure she puked most of it up. They didn't take any chances. Both were rushed to the castle for medical treatment without hesitation.

The soldiers had pretty much taken all the pirates that weren't dead into prison, planning to get in contact with the government to send them away for good. All that was left was getting Fenn from escaping.
Oh it is? Hmph, it was working before... I'll change it after I put a post up- after I edit to fit with Thor's post hah. Ray has caused more trouble than I planned for. But it shall work, no worries.

I'll be moving Kai along within my post.
And the start of bringing the newbies in to the interaction!

With the blood loss and the -unbeknownst to her- possible start to mental scarring, Ace was running on fumes. She followed, helped where she could, and moved to where she needed to be. At this point, Ace should've passed out from even over using the fumes and adrenaline. The redhead scanned the area for the two she was told to go to. First, she spotted Inadi. It seemed the hooded figures could handle it, so she pulled him back to get out of the way. She was coherent enough to realize Jasper had been missing clothing and they were still being attacked. "You're...whatever." She would've offered clothing, but hers was bloodstained, leather, and she didn't have extra.

Some unseen and predictable force knocked Ace over. She fell in a pile of wood and laid there for what she thought was only a minute. But when her eyes closed for a second, they reopened to see nothing but a blur at first. When her vision cleared and her head wasn't swimming, she saw right when the witch died. Ace held her head in her hands for a moment, wondering why she felt so dizzy. When she looked up again, the hooded figures were escaping and there was... "One...Two....Three?" Three new bodies that weren't there before. She noticed them, but couldn't make out where they came from. Sheesh, how long did she pass out for? Ace couldn't make out a lot of things at the moment. "Focus....Focus....Focus-"

Ace caught sight of two more figures and jumped up way too fast only to wince and fall forward. "Ow..." She sighed, but then went back to her excitement. "Hey! Guys! There's Fluffy!" She pushed off the ground and adjusted her hat before limping to the dragon. Citrus so happened to be near one of the new bodies she counted. She eyed the male in front of her and tilted her head. Well he wasn't a Nobody... In fact he looked human... That wasn't important though. In fact the human male wasn't all too important at the moment either. "Pardon me dude." She said to Toby before moving and sitting in front of Citrus.

"Hey Fluffy, do you remember me? We've been looking everywhere for you! You're parents and grandma are worried sick! We are here to take you home, so you need to come with us." Citrus had shuffled backwards away from Ace, only staring quietly. But after staring, and seeming to understand what Ace was saying, Citrus floated towards Ace. "That's a good dragon. Now come on." She stood, and Citrus looked back at Toby before moving after Ace. That is, until Ace stopped and looked at Toby. "Where'd you come from? I guess in the commotion I missed it. And thanks for keeping Fluffy safe, we have to take him home to his parents."

Ace turned back around to see the situation at hand. Many of her team were pretty much lifeless and drained. So, she took a deep breath and cupped her hands over her mouth. "GUYS! THE WITCH IS DEAD AND FLUFFY IS HERE! WE CAN'T QUIT NOW!" Ace's yelling made her dizzy once more but she fought through it. "I have to go help the others. They're hurt." It was a matter of factly tone. As much as she wanted to say hi to the random people, she had a job to do. While Ace hobbled over to help Jasper up, the baby dragon stole her hat- that was probably how he remembered her in the first place.

"Come on Jasper, we can't stay here." She looked around to see who else needed to be helped. Harper was still unconscious, but she was still not giving up on him. There was no way he was going to die. Not like this. "We need to..." But seeing everyone in their conditions, and then herself... yeah they weren't going to get very far. And Ace didn't know how she was standing on her own two feet at the moment. So... she looked at Jasper and then everyone else with a bright smile. She plopped back down on the ground, practically falling over and on to her back.

Ace put her fist into the air, once again forgetting that she got stabbed in the shoulder. She winced, but still smiled. "We did it guys. The witch is dead and we found the dragon! Avian would be proud! And... Haku and Leon would want us to pull through.... We have to survive. For all our fallen comrades. Let's get home so we can tell tales of all their bravery and all the adventures we had. We can't give up now!" Ace dropped her arm and laid there. Ace laughed gently. Sometimes, even she wondered where she got the energy...

"Hold your heads up high. We still have things to collect. You all still have people to see." Ace's voice faded off and she sighed. Ace was definitely on Empty now. As she got quiet, she wondered if it would be okay to just...pass out for awhile....
Oh, uh, whoops.

Status Check!

So: We have a small army of pirates at the shore, while a few StarDusks are there defending themselves. Fenn is moving off shore and to freedom, with another boat coming towards him that's not there yet. Don't worry, the boat is slow.

The dorection the boat is headed: Turning to pass a nearby cliff edge type ordeal.

But instead of it being straight up and hard to climb, it's more of a hill for easy climbing.

Then of course we have another set of StarDusks at the docks with and army of soldiers.

Sorry about that. Any clearer now?
Trigun is an awesome show! These are some really good suggestions guys.
We've hit the three day mark people, the posts, the posts!

****** Starting August 11th, I shall be headed back to school. Yes, I'm young I know, but ssh That means I'll be slightly more busy than normal BUT posting cycles won't change unless I have to change it to fit my schedule. Don't worry, it won't be anything too drastic. If anything, my business will give you at least one extra day or so to get posts in and such and then pretend you were on time. But anyway, I'm good at organizing so I know how to time manage, that doesn't mean I won't put real life first because that's what you're supoose to do . Just like I ask you all to give me a heads up before you have to disappear, I shall do the same for you all because it's fair. And I'm sure you get the gist of that. ******

Anyhow, c'mon guys! The Waterdeep cycle is almost over! Get those posts in so we can save a town!
Aoba stands by the pot, tasting the food he had already put in his bowl. Kuro came up, so he started to move out of the way, only for him to wrap his arms around him once more. Aoba blinked and slowly ate a forkful of his own. He wasn't sure how to react, but then again with Kuro he was never sure. Instead of stumbling over it, Aoba continued eating and scooted away from him to go sit down. Kuro was such an odd demon. . . The thought made him smile, and he looked down at his bowl. 'Remember, he lacks a heart. He's a demon. Don't do anything stupid.' Aoba sat on the couch and continued eating.

By the looks of it, Dani had left. Well, at least he ate. The smaller demon left his bowl, so Aoba decided to take it to be cleaned- after eating his own food. It didn't take him long to finish the small second helping he had so it didn't take long for him to start cleaning. "Thank you again Kuro." He smiled and looked over at the demon. He moved towards him and decided to give him a light peck on the cheek. That's normally how Kuro rewarded him, so he didn't think it would be any harm in returning the favor at least once.

"Maybe you can teach me how to cook some time? You know, after I learn how to do everything else." Aoba gave an innocent smile before turning and yawning. "For now though, I'm tired." He stretched his arms over his head and walked to his room. There wasn't much else he needed or wanted to do. They did a lot in a matter of a day from getting the animals settled to flying to getting food. It was a lot for the fallen angel and he was exhausted. The more he thought about it, the more he yawned and felt it. "Good night." He looked back at Kuro before heading to his room.
Starla stared at the cat for a moment and rolled her eyes. "You can get away with it...this time. Don't think Night will save your butt all the time..." She looked up to see the guardians flying off and then took a seat. "I'm not following them around on foot. He's with Lord Enasi, he should be fine anyway." Starla laid in a patch of flowers and Finn looked down at her, crossing his arms. Before he could protest, he realized she did have a point. There was no way they could keep up on foot. So, he ended up sitting next to her. "Besides, I doubt he would do something to upset Lord Enasi."

Finn watched them go, determining where the two were headed. "They're going to the forest. Less civilians are there. Seishu is being considerate." He looked over at the three with a raised eyebrow. "Do what you like. We're done here. Just don't wander in our garden, please." Seeing that Finn was much nicer than his sister, Rasha nodded and turned to the siblings. He gestured for the two to follow. Both were watching the guardians fly off, until they were called by Rasha.

Harper was taking a break from patrolling, standing with a few guards. "I'm telling you, this realm is too peaceful to have any crime." One guard chuckled as he leaned against a wall. "Maybe an accident here or there, but an actual crime? No one would defy Lord Enasi like that. We all love the guy too much." There were a few sounds of agreement, and they continued conversing until they had to go on their last check for the morning. It was pretty redundant, Harper had to agree. No one did anything too much out of line that would send them to prison. The one true problem that did occur was the attack on Seishu they had detained. But after that, it was nothing more.

Harper did smile a little towards how highly the guardians talked about Lord Enasi. It was like there wasn't a doubt in their minds- which was the case. Everything Lord Enasi did had to be for a good reason. Why wouldn't it have been. The rabbit was on a small bridge, looking down at a small pond when he noticed the reflections of something flying. His ears twitched as he heard the heavy flap of wings. The other guards didn't notice, too busy laughing away at a joke. Harper stood straight and looked to the sky to see two pairs of wings flying across the sky. He stood in awe for a moment, catching the pretty white wings his guardian had and looking on in interest towards the bat like wings that Seishu had. "A little fresh air doesn't hurt anyone." By the looks of it, they were going to the forest. The guards had already searched in that area so it wouldn't- or at least shouldn't bother with them.

"I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't fly off like that." Enasi flew in sync with Seishu after he figured out where the other planned on going. He was grateful Seishu had the common decency not to scare everyone in the town with his presence. Enasi flew lower as the forest got closer, soon he landed on one of the branches before sliding off and to the ground. There was a soft hiss that echoed in the trees. Enasi ignored it, watching where Seishu went off to.

While he wasn't paying attention, there was a shift behind him in the trees. "Seishu? Get down here already." He took a step to the side as a large snake lunged forward. Enasi giggled and patted the snake's head. "What are you doing silly?" The snake hissed in response before coiling around and rested its large head on Enasi's shoulder. "It's nice to see you as well. You've gotten quite large since I've seen you." Enasi smiled and then hugged the large snake once again. "Be calm okay? I have a visitor, and he's staying until he gets better."
I hear you on the feels and character development. I might look up the Champloo one. And I suggest Gurren Lagann! Watch it! It has feels and character development. 26 or 27 episodes of it.
