The comfortable plush bed he laid on, his room, and everything else around had all faded away. Once again, the Dream Guardian stood in nothing but darkness. No sound. No movement. Nothing. It was just darkness surrounding him. So many times he tried walking to find something, anything. And every time, he came up empty handed. This time, Enasi decided to stay seated and wait for time to pass. His curiosity had died and he tried drawing circles on what he assumed was the ground. . . Not even that showed.

[i]'Just sit and wait for the time to wake up...'

'I wonder how everyone is feeling right now... Not too many burdens I hope.'

'Harper's intensive training is probably going well too.'

That's how his mind went during the session of nothing. Tangents and spirals. Trying to keep him focused on everything but where he sat.

Instead of his normal thoughts, something else pulled his attention. The symbol on his hand tingled, giving a familiar feeling he knew he felt somewhere before.

Oh great, now I'm going insane in my own mind. I'm hallucinating in a- it's not even a dream... Nyah! What is going on!"

With a deep breath, he calmed down. The one advantage he had with being in the darkness was that he could panic all he wanted to...without worrying everyone. The tingling wouldn't stop, and some unknown force tugged him. Enasi didn't want to look. He didn't want to get his hopes up for something that wasn't there... But the feeling was so familiar...

Enasi tugged his burgundy hair and sat still, being stubborn. He rubbed his hand every now and then as if trying to wipe the feeling away, but of course that never happened. And then, for the first time ever. . .

He heard footsteps.

The simple sound made him look up quickly. He uncovered his face and turned to the sound. The tingling was stronger and harder to ignore. What could possibly be approaching? That what turned into a who, and made Enasi even more shocked...and confused than he already was.

"S-Seishu? Oh goodness I must be losing it..." He mumbled and then slumped his head into his hands. "I still have hours before I get up..."

When Enasi peeked back, the Seishu hallucination was still there. The feeling faded in his hand as the other moved closer to him. The dreamer was utterly confused, and probably freaking out more than it was actually necessary. So, the Dream Guardian took another few deep breaths until he was calm, and quietly sitting as he was before. There was no doubt it was Seishu, but... How?
You should tell her about herself, and all the reasons she's wrong

*cough* I mean, talk it through.

And I'll have my post up before then or by then~ See ya.
Oh I agreed with them. It made a lot of sense to me.
I went on mobile and used the symbols there. Then edited everything when I was able to access the PC~
Take your time.
Heh, I'm suppose to be schooling and such.
Ooh, sounds cool. I say go for it!
I'm pretty sure a time skip will be needed.
And the mean question was answered.
Noticing the small shifts, and then the soft noise, both turned their heads to face Seishu. Enasi assumed he would've passed out by then, but apparently he was too uncomfortable by the looks of it. "Maybe we should discuss this outside, so he can rest." He was given a nod of agreement and he started to leave out the room. The male stopped in his tracks, followed by Crios and turned back to Seishu as he spoke up. The Dream Guardian listened to him explain a few other similarities the two had, causing him to be curious and yet a little annoyed. The guardian had always stuck to basics, he had always stuck to the books. But Seishu on the other hand, his curiosity made him explore more than just that. He knew way more than the basics... But it probably was a good thing. If they did stick to the basics, keeping themselves clouded and in the dark, the two guardians would've probably ended up as their predecessors and ruined Balance once again.

"Can you dream? Is sleep pleasant for you? Was I the only one cursed with that dreaded place of nothingness?"

Enasi was fully prepared to answer any question he had. . . Except that one. The reality of it hit him like a ton of bricks, and he hesitated, just as he hesitated when he was upset or nervous. He couldn't answer the question due to Seishu's exhaustion, or possibly drugs, caught up to him and swept him away into unconsciousness... Which turned out to be nothingness. It was a horrible thing to think about, that had him feel sick to his stomach.

But the reason was different than Crios would have guessed. 'It must be horrible to have to sleep, only to wake in nothingness... I would know... Enasi thought it was just his own curse for getting the more favored half. He couldn't imagine forcing anyone to suffer a fate like not dreaming. It wasn't a pleasant experience. Of course, over the many years he had been alive, he came to terms with the nothingness. In the lucid nothingness, he always wandered aimlessly or tried to make something happen. The only thing he could ever imagine was humming a song he had heard one of the mothers sing to their child. It was the only thing that reassured him of sleep. In his thoughts of such an ironic curse, he didn't hear Crios quietly calling him.

"Lord Enasi? ...Sir?" With a gentle tap on the shoulder, the Dream Guardian blinked and looked over at the doctor. "O-Oh. Sorry." Crios nodded and then politely gestured him out. "Will you be...okay sir?" The doctor looked pretty concerned, having to keep his annoyance for Seishu's antics at a bare minimum. Enasi nodded and glanced over at him, walking off. "Just a little tired. I'm going to go lay down." The guardian left no room for comments as he walked to his own room. It was large, just as the "king's suite" always was and it was decorated with dark burgundy and gold colors. The room looked unused, but that was to be expected since Enasi slept very little.

He crawled under the covers, hiding his entire form under them. 'Why have I been...so blind towards my counterpart. He knows so much... With a sigh, Enasi yawned. Exhaustion hit almost immediately and he was practically sleep in seconds. That sleep wavered into that familiar nothingness.

This time, instead of the accepted nothingness. He tossed and turned uncomfortably, trying to find that familiar peace...but it never came.

~~~~,~~~
Crios sighed as he watched the guardian leave. There was nothing he could do besides do his job. If he couldn't do anything for Enasi, he at least made sure the male didn't have to worry about his dreams and minions being injured. In the meantime though, the doctor planned out the next therapy session for the Nightmare Guardian.
His empty frowns went unnoticed making him sigh and give up. He had this odd feeling that Seishu was probably going to keep messing with him in that manner, which meant he'd try to be more cautious around him. Hi attention turned to Rue, who was surprisingly still peaceful. It was a truly rare sight to see. It even answered the question a few of the dreams and minions had. 'Does he even sleep? That would be a yes. And with Seishu laying next to him, Enasi had to admit it was slightly adorable. It reminded him that even "wild animals" had soft sides. The comparison made him smile in amusement.
"I'm assuming I'm not needed any more. So, I think I'll go get some rest as well." He had no idea the last time he had slept. The guardian didn't feel tired either, but he was sure that as soon as he laid and got comfortable, sleep would hit him like a ton of bricks. Even if time wasn't prominent for the realms, they still had times to sleep. His hand touched the doors handle, still being close by him. Crios' voice prevented him from leaving, and the comment made him inwardly awkward. "Um, of course." The word 'easily' alone had the qualities of being an overstatement. Everything else was too much for him to create an even more blundering response.
Crios saved him from a full response by moving along. Seishu needed sleep, and Enasi would've more than happy to let him. But first, he needed to explain Crios' inquiry. Not many knew the history of the guardians, or how they came into existence, so of course they wouldn't know that Enasi and Seishu were of the same race. "Indeed we are." Enasi released the door and continued. "We were created as an opposite pair. I say opposite because of...well that should be obvious. We're two halves of a whole; that whole being Balance. We're complements of each other."
The doctor listened intently and showed an interest in the news. "Being complementary would give you similar attributes, yes?" Enasi nodded and Crios couldn't help but give a look of curiosity. "What exactly are those similarities?" The two guardians acted so different. Being the doctor, during battles he was always treating patients and never saw the two fight. From interactions as of late, the two only showed the many differences they had. Though, something about their latest interactions had them rather calm. Even the high strung Enasi toned down. The reactions now were just of him not knowing how to deal with such a subject that wasn't very prominent. 'Being with Seishu any longer, he'll either quickly catch on to it, or he'll end up being overwhelmed by provocative acts.'
"Well, one main similarity is are abilities. Those energy whips Seishu created? I can do the same thing. Of course, when we use them they exert opposing energies." What else could the guardian say? His eyes glanced over at Seishu for a brief moment before returning to the doctor. 'There is also the talk of our 'primal sides', but I have yet to have proof of that.' Enasi couldn't think of anything else. For some reason, he felt a little guilty for not knowing what they had in common even though they were suppose to be opposites.
Ha, procrastination at its finest. It's okay though, we still adore you.
This one does not.
