Prison Life

Jerid waits as no response seems to come. Then in the distance he sees the bleak light from a flashlight piercing trough the darkness.
A guard steps up in front of Jerid's cell and shines his light on him. Jerid averts his eyes from the blinding beam.
"Prisoner Ebrahim?"
"That's me."
"You've made some friends in high places."
The guard tosses Jerid an apple before leaving without saying another word.
Jerid stares at the apple, then picks it up and takes a bite. Sweet and sour assault his taste buds. The taste of outside brings back memories that seem a lot further away than they really were.
He then looks back up at the camera.
"I will not kill the pedophile." He says sternly before taking another bite from his apple.

Prison Life

Jerid milled on this for a second.
"Dragged outside and shot? Cut my food off? Those are some extreme threats you are throwing my way. You would risk the integrity of your prison to save the life of some monster? You would kill a prisoner to save another?" Jerid stood up and looked straight into the camera.
"This doesn't add up. Prove it. Send a guard over right now, have him bring one piece of fruit and give it to me, then I'll believe you."

"Reeaaally?" Jerid was starting to get suspicious. Something was up, he saw no reason for the warden to stick his neck out for this scum. Unless the warden was worse, in which case being on his good side was a great idea. "Do go on. Privileges you say?"

"The guy raped children. There's no excuse for that. I can promise I won't kill him, but I can safely predict that he will not live long. So whatever use you have for him, do it quick."

"I was, the fool tried to threaten me. So I turned his own words on him. It was hilarious."
Jerid grinned. He figured he was probably speaking to the warden, or one of the higher up guards.

Jerid was glad, something to stave of the boredom. "Have we met?" He looked into the camera. "Are you the one who turned off my lights?"

Blackmist Prison

Rothe screened his surroundings and tried to pick the possible heroes from the pleb. His choice fell on Arc, the kid had a sense of purpose in his eyes that Rothe recognized all too well. This guy would be the first in line for salvation and glory. So he got up and walked over, sitting down on the bench beside Arc.

Rothe was very impressed with the detail and realism of the small painting the man held in his hand, he also noted the smile on his face.
"That's a beautiful little girl, your daughter I assume?"

the poweroutge cuts of lights and electronics. also since every cell would have tere own power (to avoid mixing) i can cut off differnt cell power.

I got to ask.. to what end? What does Charles hope to accomplish here? Is there even a plan or is he just fucking around?

Jerid was struggling to fight the oncoming tide of boredom. Alone in his cell with nothing to do. With a click and a flicker the lights went out a few cell blocks over, A bit of shouting could be heard. The guards didn't do anything to stop it. Jerid did nothing. Then the lights in his block went out.
A restless atmosphere ran trough the cell block. It was mostly quiet though.

Jerid hummed an eerie tune, then sang softly.
"I am waiting for the night to fall
I know that it will save us all
When everything's dark
Keeps us from the stark reality

I'm waiting for the night to fall
When everything is bearable
And there in the still
All that you feel
Is tranquility"
