How about Algon sends you on a mission to spy on or kidnap some powerful NPCs for interrogation?
If you like the idea report back to Algon and ask what's next. He'll send you out. If there are any other characters doing nothing right now they could come with you.
If you like I can send Charlie along. He's not that subtle though.
He is great at the game "Good cop, psychopathic killer cop" though.

Yeah, I noticed. I dump a load of death on your character and your response was:
you: not only is my character completely unharmed, you are hurt by pure coincidence, and my character then stabs you in the back.

I barely manage to open a portal back to the school, I'll leave it open for the others.
I walk trough the emptied hall and pick up my stuff. I leave a trail of blood, I don't care. I see the fire is fixed. Let me remedy that.
There, nice and bright. I go home, and to sleep. I'll deal with this all tomorrow. Explain why I came home with some stupid piece of shrapnel in my back. Reflecting upon the night I wonder how I'm going to get close to that bitch now. That thing was clearly no werewolf, maybe she isn't either.
