I pick up the tool. The fuck's this thing?
"What is this tool for?"
"Cool. What's the zombie for? Do you have a purpose or is this just for kicks?"
"Really? I -"
I wipe the blood of my face and lick it off my hand, delicious.
"You are casting something then? What is it?"
Times thirty two, times sixty four, times one hundred and twenty eight...
Ciskel floated up dodging the burning breath. He kept his concentration.
Times two hundred and fifty six, times five hundred and twelve...
She swings a freaking sword at me? Where did she even keep that thing?! You know what, I don't want to know.
Is this what it is going to be like now? People assaulting me with sharp objects? Great fucking Lucy!

Ok, calm down. She doesn't hate you, she is just a little.. eccentric.
I look over her shoulder. "So ehm.. what'cha doing?"
"This"
Ciskel raise his hand dramatically as he steadily started multiplying the dragon's weight. Times two, times four, times eight, times sixteen...

lol That child is scarred for life.

I know right? Nothing like random acts of psychological violence!
"Is this fair?" Ciskel wondered aloud as he weighed down the spirit's clothing and Li's fork heavily.
"We outnumber them pretty badly."
He floated out of range of most collateral damage. After being hit with a large wooden beam he only just in time turned to styrofoam.
From up there he spotted the dragon in the distance.
"Guys, we may not outnumber them so badly after all!"

Yeah, they aren't humanoid. Small, floating drones mainly for observation and small-scale combat.

All I hear is 'parachute!'
"It seems the dead hold no compassion for the dead, a miscalculation" Martin thought as loud as he could without actually speaking the words. If they could hear him, they weren't going to help him. "This story has been educational, but I don't find the ending fitting. It shouldn't come before the middle. So for now I'll be choosing door number three!" Martin dramatically pointed back at the engine. Nothing happened there. But martin started to whisper as he swayed side to side,
"'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe."

The minds returned to buzzing, of course they'd try to find this reference as well. But his one would be harder to understand.
Something told him they wouldn't shoot before they made the link. He'd have at least 1.2 seconds to JUMP!
Martin leapt for one of the floating creatures and swung forward drawing it out of balance. Their combined weight started to pull the thing down and they quickly lost altitude.
"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!"

Martin quickly flung himself forwards away from the flying deathtrap towards the sloped roof of the church.
With high speed he rode down the roof on his heelys before jumping for a lower building.
"Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!"

He bounded of the roof into the ceiling window of the next building. Shards of broken glass flew everywhere but broke his fall a little more.
He disappeared into the house, it was children bedroom, the room was full of clutter and broken glass, on the bed sat a child, staring at Martin wide eyed.
"Do not speak of this day to any mortal my child." Martin said dramatically while turning to him, the burned gashes where his eyes used to be made an impression the child wouldn't soon forget. "You are the chosen child." Martin finished with a smile before running off into the hall, down the stairs and trough the kitchen door into a back alley. There he took a breath. He really could have used that distraction.
