Ayleth ate a cupcake with feelings...
Ciskel looked confused at the thorny artwork. Ce couldn't even see Galen anymore. Who knew what he was plotting in there.
So Ciskel decided to stay some distance away from the mass of vines. He looked around, there were a lot of onlookers by now. But he was looking for something that could cut. "Sheesh, knowing reequip would sure come in handy right about now." Then he remembered how they experimented with lacrima a few days ago, It seemed like an eternity to him, but in truth it had only been a few days. He was still wearing the same pants too. Bit gross... But that meant the lacrima were still in his pockets.
Ciskel grinned, he had his plan now. First let's put on a little more pressure, literally. He weighed down the new vines a lot more, compacting the mass tighter and, without a doubt, a lot less comfortable.
Hehe, OOC I hadn't noticed Lach hitting on Marie either. Had to edit my post cause we had the same idea.
I also forgot I was planning to post the recipe and effect of the potions Sam makes in OOC:
Name: Health Potion
Ingredients:Two parts raspberries, one part sugar, a few drops of wine, 3 drops of blood of the same species that it's meant to heal.
Effect type: Conjuration, Healing. 5 Charges. Area of Effect: Imbiber.
Effect: Rapidly heals the drinker of any wounds that could be healed trough time and care. Doesn't regrow limbs or organs lost but does repair damage. If used by the wrong species it will still work, but after frequent use there will be... side effects...
Tastes: sweet and sour. With a hint of an alcoholic aftertaste.
Name: Inspired salve
Ingredients:
- Angelica (a herb, symbolically associated with inspiration)
- multiple magical residues (easily harvested in an area crowded with wizards)
- a sense of marvel and inspiration (the sight of the unison raid spell evokes this in most magic enthusiasts)
Effect type: transmutation, compulsion, light, . 1 Charge. Area of Effect: object.
Effect: When applied to a tool, that tool bestows it's user with great skill and inspiration to use said tool for it's intended purpose. A brush would make anyone a masterful painter, a pickaxe would elevate mining and prospecting to an art-form. Naturally a spear grants impressive skill and creativity with it as a weapon.
I never defined durations for potions. I'd like to go with a rule of thumb: 1 scene. keeping track of minutes is tedious and frankly impossible in forum format, this is narratively easier. Agree?
Holy shit I have players! I had already given up on this. Cool!
Hmm... how many players will we need..? I'm thinking 4 or 5 at least?
I'm very intrested in this. I've never played Nation Roleplay before. I am looking for a good one to start out with.
I've been building dnd campaigns for a while now (just in my head, nothing published, long way into the future maybe) so I wanted fantasy.
I found it!

I like this. Can I join?
I don't mind the outcome of the current discussion. If everyone's making their own races I will too. If we are stuck with FR I'm thinking an illithid nation.
After years of skulking in the under dark they have decided it is time for mindflayer domination!

However, regardless of making fun, you make a good point. At the moment, technology is rocketing forward. Groundbreaking discoveries are being made every couple of weeks as scientists around the world share data. Most likely ceramic weapons can be mass-produced.

yep. I'm very exited to live in our current timeframe.
Chances are that many of the things we play with in this game will be commercially possible in our lifetime.
I just hope that by the time I'm 80 you can become like, 150. and then by the time I almost reach that the limit is even higher. With a bit of luck we are the first generation to keep on living for longer and longer. Boy will those YOLO kids be wrong haha
ouch.

I had to spend a lot of effort not laughing at my own post to avoid looks from my boss and coworkers...
The mental image of team badguys just kinda sitting in the middle of pandemonium, taking a breather and talking about a beach vacation killed me. So I did my best to describe it for you guys as well.

Also I realized we kindoff forgot about Cobra hehe.
"It feels kind of mean, but as long as I keep pushing he won't be able to get a shot in. Best defense is a good offense right?"
Ciskel started talking to himself as he drifted further out of reach, he didn't really know what Galen's reach was though so he wasn't sure about that, but he wasn't going to give Galen he chance to let him find out. He waved his old staff and multiplied the weight of the vines a few times.
"This should keep him busy with not being crushed.." He mumbled as he tried to think of another aproach, his own vines wouldn't hold him long and ciskel was sure Galen had a few more tricks up his sleeve.
"You know? Beach sounds like fun. We'll make the biggest sandcastle! And then tear it down!" Charlie got a little exited.
Algon was lost in thought.

Somehow the four sat in tranquility as the world dissolved in utter chaos around them. People were screaming. Prisoners were rebelling and running amok. A whole bunch of lesser guild members had decided that if everything was going down they would take as much shit along with them. So everyone was vandalizing and stealing everything.
In the distance someone tried to open a large chest with a dagger. To his dismay the chest was Jennifer, who swiftly turned back into her Chamelion form and tore him to shreds. It was the kind of spectacle that looked rather amusing until the crunching of bones became loud enough to be sickening.
Charlie had found a canister of coffee on the ground and was passing the thing around. They had the weirdest little picnick.
All of them tired. But a mission complete nonetheless.
"You know, we really needed to thin the ranks anyways..." Algon sighed as he watched Jennifer hunt down traitors like a puppy playing with a tennis ball. A puppy that chewed on her tennis balls.

"I suggest we reduce the member count to zero. Starting with you." The voice of Cobra sounded from behind him. His eyes were burning with anger and hands surging with fresh energy. They had completely forgotten about him.
It's 3.35 PM here :C

If we're going by logical sense, there is no severe known advance in bio-science. Jack is a bona fida genius when it comes to engineering, AI, mechanics and physics, as well as vampire biology, which means he's kicked the world's tech level into overdrive, but there are no advances which would allow such genetic enhancements that I know of, based on the fact that it's impossible with current human technology. Then again, it would be a fairly simply matter to turn it into a technological enhancement, a machine that transmutes body heat, or some other naturally occurring form of energy, into electricity, giving you the same effect.

Now that you mention it. We are currently playing in the year 2034, in a world that has had blatantly open warfare with the vampire race for over 20 years..
All large countries have probably moved a lot of assets towards military funding. Plus this is a world where Jack Stein lives. Surely he has rivals who make things of their own, or reverse engineer his inventions. And if he doesn't. If he is truly peerless, that means entire intelligence agencies would benefit hugely from even the smallest scraps of info they could 'procure'.

It's not a big leap to say this earth has a significantly higher tech development than the current real world. I mean, those ceramic blades are impressive now, but in 20 years they might be absolute already, and that's in the real world. Imagine the crazy shit the world we are playing in could come up with.

Another 20 years and we're playing Shadowrun!

I think this setting... has gone sci-fi!
