@So Boerd; whatever the God of Rolls tells it to do.

If Cambodia let itself be annexed to Siam, does this mean I can request Bavaria to become a vassal? :O

Yeah...I can't wait to play a country that not everyone hates.

I feel the same way right now. :P

Hey Panquake, have you considered setting up a TitanPad for this?

For what purpose? I sometimes use pads for RPing, but anything we might need can be done here, I imagine.

Panquake said Anyone else thinking that picture in the IC would make a sweet-ass metal album cover? I'm getting that vibe from it.

Yes, I can definitely see that.
Awesome. I'll try to reply tomorrow.

Roughly how many other adventurers are present in the hall? A dozen? Just us?
Do we have an ETA on an OP?
Ya'll becoming really dependent on Chinese exports. The Boxer Rebellion isn't going to be a good time for you.

Though, I think I might hop aboard the China train as well.

What's her stance on undead creatures? Actually, what's the Church of Vexa's view on them in general?

They tend to view the undead with pity rather than scorn and necromancers as committing one of the worst crimes. They believe that when somebody passes away that they return to the arms of the Mother Goddess and that to rip a soul away from the Mother Goddess is akin to stealing a child from its mother's arms.

More so, the act of necromancy is to attach a departed soul onto a body that is no longer in the image of the Mother Goddess, part of why you might her Atalee call one an abomination or a monstrosity. According to the Church, people are created in the Mother Goddess's image, but after the soul has left the body, that body begins to decay and return to the earth. It is no longer meant to be home to a soul, and thus, attaching a soul to that body is to create something impure.

It's definitely pity rather than scorn. Any Templar would return an undead to the Mother Goddess, but there isn't a consensus on how the Church should handle intelligent undead. Although it views the undead as abominations, it also believes that people have an inherent right to determine their own destinies. At least in theory. Some Templars are a lot less tolerant of the undead, believing that it's for their own good that they return to the arms of the Mother Goddess.

As a rule of thumb, the Church believes crime to be against the common good rather than against the Church or even the Goddess Vexa. They believe that the crime is in the suffering imposed upon the victim rather than against, again, either the Church or the Goddess. In the act of necromancy, the crime would be against whomever was resurrected.

Atalee herself has never encountered an undead before, having only been travelling the surface world for about a year, but we can assume her stance is (mostly) similar to that of the Church.

Sweet. Looks like things are relatively ready to roll tomorrow, nice job everyone. I like our party's variety. Sand, I'll add him to the roster, just make sure you come back and finish preferably soon. And thanks, Mad Hatter, I could not remember for the life of me how to correctly do that. I do like Ampharos' idea of a PC Repository, and was prepared to both make a Repository and use Mad Hatter's list, but that felt redundant. If you guys wanna keep a log like I'm doing with the quests, feel free. It'd be cool to go back and read characters' actions from their sheets, I think- especially if it was journal-style or something.

I think a repository would be preferable, yeah. It'd also keep the first post a lot cleaner, but either option works.
There, sheet all finished. Added personality and some additional notes at the end.

Atalee is as Lawful Good as they come. Not quite as self-righteous as they usually are but still annoyingly good.

Kaiserthum Oesterreich
The Austrian Empire

In the interest of protecting the majority German populations in Schleswig, Lauenburg, and Holstein, the Austrian Empire demands the transfer of these territories to the German Confederation under the jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Prussia until such a time as a self-sustaining government may be established under Frederick, Duke of Augstenburg.

The Austrian Empire echoes the sentiments of the Kingdom of Prussia:

1. All soldiers and ships owing allegiance to him shall be evacuated from all land south of the northern border of the Duchy of Slesvig within 48 hours.

2. His Majesty shall invite within 48 hours of the receipt of this missive to meet representatives from all nations signatory to the Treaty of Constantinople (1861) as well as the Kingdom of Sweden and person as well as writing renounce on behalf of the House of Oldenburg and the Kingdom of Denmark any claim to the Duchies of Slesvig, Lauenburg, or Holstein in perpetuity as well as formally acknowledge the legitimacy of the Prussian administration thereof.

Should the Kingdom of Denmark not comply with these terms, the Austrian Empire and our allies in the German Confederation shall join the Kingdom of Prussia in a declaration of war.

- Franz Joseph I, Austrian Emperor

A slaver will definitely balance our good guy to asshole ratio. I like it.

Same.^ Variety is good.

On that note, I'm curious to know what everyone's character's alignments are. Do we actually have any characters who identify as evil?
