Russia has a rather large debt, don't they?

That is a rather astute observation.

I think you should address your concerns IC instead of OOC where its pointless... XD

It's just an analysis, really. It's not like I'm attacking anyone.

I was under the impression that Russia would gain land in Europe and possibly elsewhere. Even then it would be debatable whether the price was worth it, but still.

What could Russia take? Galicia? Romania? I don't think some relatively poor areas with lots of minorities is worth defaulting on his debt.

If I was Russia, I would have just stuck to myself and let the rest of Europe sort out its own business while I slowly industrialized and improved my economy.

If I really wanted to get involved in European affairs, I would have done the opposite of what Russia is doing and align with France to stop Prussia from founding Germany. Then, when I won against Prussia, I would have taken Polish land and established a larger Congress Poland to put between the rest of Europe and me while, again, I spent the rest of the game industrializing and trying to catch up to Western Europe.

Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones.

From an objective standpoint. Though, I like how you didn't say I was wrong.
Russia's putting a lot into a war that it doesn't actually have a whole lot to gain from.

Since we like complaining about things being unrealistic, it seems really weird that Russia dedicated the entirety of its forces to helping Prussia form Germany, so much so that it's probably going to default on its debt, is totally blockaded, its navy totally beaten, and is fighting a war on three separate fronts.

So, where are Austria's German allies? Are they just leaving him out to dry?

I assumed that for simplicity's sake, my allies were fighting Prussia's allies, and supporting our respective war efforts with soldiers/supplies.

No use over-complicating this by detailing Bavaria attacking Prussia or Saxony attacking Austria.
I don't know who I would play in 1900.

China sounds fun because, well, it's China, and you the Sino-Japanese War would be really fun. Guatemala sounds fun to re-establish the United Province of Central America as some kind of European Union-esque entity. Poland would be an interesting country to play as well.

I will happily hand over a unified Germany at the end of this to whoever wants it.

I think you're going to be handing over Germany to me one way or the other. :P

When this WiR ends, which won't be any time soon, and if Outcast would be willing to GM/Co-GM with me, I could restart WiR 1900...

I'd play.
State Alchemy is a sausage fest, lol.

I'm diggin' these characters, though. I look forward to playing with you guys.

Reminds me of 1848 alternate histories, usually all involving the Frankfurt Parliament turning out different.
I'm out of town until Friday, so I will probably be unable to post until then. If it comes down to it, you can get ahead and skip me this turn, if necessary.
