Understandable. It was more directed at Britain, France, and Russia who have more to gain by a stable Qing and more to lose should Qing catastrophically collapse or something.
I dated mine because of the Chinese New Year, and as long as the GMs allow, I'll most likely continue doing that since people seem fond of New Year addresses.

@Ampharos, why China not of wanting American help? D:

Oh shit. D:

I needed a blanket term to refer to the foreigners, but I guess I'll change it to Great Powers.
Posted.

China wants supplies so that it can spearhead the suppression of the Boxer Uprising I suspect that doing this would require another war order or just an amendment to your pre-existing war order concerning the Boxer Uprising.

Of course, you can just be like 'lol fuck you', but either way, let me know what you guys decide.

Empire of the Great Qing

A Proclamation from Yuan Shikai, Commander of the Beiyang Army

On behalf of the Imperial Qing Government, I graciously accept assistance from the Great Powers in the suppression of the Boxer Uprising. I request that the Alliance Forces converge on Peking and coordinate the suppression of the Boxer Uprising. I must also request that the Allied Fleets coordinate with the Beiyang Fleet and then converge on the Huang He River where the Boxer Uprising threatens to expand southward.

It is the wishes of her Majesty and the Imperial Qing Government that the Beiyang Army spearhead this assault, and I ask that the Great Powers respect this decision, providing arms and munitions to the Beiyang Army as well as tactical analysis and support.

It is my hope that alongside the Great Powers, the Beiyang Army can suppress the Boxer Uprising by the end of this year and put itself on the path to modernization. Again, I ask the Great Powers for support in this endeavors and work alongside the Beiyang Army in its efforts to restore and maintain stability within China.

I thought by this point that the region was declared to be the Orange River Colony?

No, that was a result of the war that is happening now.

MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, if you mothafuckas gave more clear answers, there wouldn't be confusion.

Also, this. ^

I'm not diggin' the fact that a lot of details are unclear and getting mouth for asking for clarification. I mean, seriously?

Yes, for the love of God. What else would you use war orders for if they aren't for military action?

In the other WiR, you couldn't use war orders to put down rebellions and presumably to put down other people's rebellions.

On the same token, I didn't use a war order to address the Boxer Rebellion. Can I change my order then?
Pepper had a question that I'm also curious about.

Do participating nations need to dedicate an order to the Boxer Rebellion?

I can't use coldfront and it doesn't work, which is unfair for me.

The other chat can only support 10 people, IIRC, which is why we moved.
