Sorry, its not the best, but its all I can muster right now.

Even if Aella had the slightest question in mind, she wouldn’t ask. Either way, it didn’t matter to her that much since the likely hood of the USA changing isn’t exactly high when it comes to capitalism and classes. So, instead of commenting, Aella just nodded her head politely and eyed the Tomb’s bar. Her throat ached with the need for something cold and some Sprite usually helped with the aftertaste of throw-up in her throat.

“Well, I’m going to go get something to drink. So, er, excuse me. I’ll be right back.” Aella hurried to stand up, the missing pencil falling off of her body and to the ground, though she paid it no attention.

Aella hurried to the bar and tapped her fingers on the surface, thinking and waiting for her nerves to settle. Aella might ask for a potion of some sorts from Mrs. Woden at the Institute…if she’d give her some. Last year, Mrs. Woden had to halt her supply due to needing the potions because of an outbreak of the common flu. Finally, after a moment of gathering herself, Aella called the bartender – who switched every trip to someone they never met before and so most students gave up learning the bartenders’ names – with a timid flick of her fingers.

“Hello, what can I get you?” She asked, smiling sweetly while stereotypically cleaning a glass. Part of Aella just wanted to smack the glass right out of her hand for being such a cinematic bartender.

“A Sprite, please.” Aella muttered, her legs shaking and her short hair bouncing with the rhythm.

The bartender quickly poured some Sprite into a glass with three ice cubes, sliding it over to the neurotic Strand girl. Aella freaked and fumbled with the glass before catching it firmly between her fingers. Knowing it was time to get back to her acquaintances, the brunette began walking, hurrying so as not to keep them waiting. And then – whoops!

Aella somehow didn’t see a stray textbook on the floor, probably thrown by a student or another, and she tripped over it, falling forward as her glass of Sprite splashed onto her face. Aella managed to place a foot onto the ground before she fell completely, but she couldn’t help the glass falling from her hand and shattering onto the floor. Really, who decided giving a bunch of kids some breakables would be a good idea?

Instantly, Aella could feel her face blaze into a glory of red. Her shoulders hunched, her hair dripping, and ice cubes slipping down her clothes, Aella never felt more embarrassed in her life. She could only muster a tight nod when the bartender assured her she would clean up the mess and she barely kept her walk even and slow as she stalked to the staircase despite the overwhelming urge to dash up the stairs and never come back down again. How embarrassing.

Oh was meaning more about being flexible to my schedule. I'll try and get a post up every other day as it says in the rules but I might slip up every once in awhile with the way work is right now and how it fits with my school schedule. If it's going to cause issues I rather hold off until things sre more stable in my life.

I think it should be fine as long as other interactions rely on your character too much.

Note: I'm incredibly jet lagged and sick right now, so I've been mostly sleeping, however tomorrow I will make myself write a post (:

River could not stop staring at the white truck with the red insignia on it. Even when a hand grabbed her, guiding her away from the scene, she continued to stare over her shoulder, her feet tripping and stumbling over rocks. Even when a duo began talking to her, she only stared at the truck, hearing the sounds of their mouth, but not comprehending what they were saying. If River was asked to describe the two later, she would not be able to, due to the haze that swirled in her mind. All that was burned into her mind was the shining black bag with glimmers of white from the artificial light.

River…River…River!” As if she had jumped through time, the redhead was back in Chris’s truck. A truck that echoed with memories and for a brief, very brief moment, River could have sworn she heard the deep rumble of Chris’s father’s laugh.

River glanced around, confused, staring out at the darkness that sped by her, shapes of trees and bushes. When she glanced into the rearview mirror, she only saw a slight lighting of the sky from unseen lights.

“River, are you okay?” Chris glanced from the street, his concerned eyes meeting River’s before her affectionately, but platonically, touched his best friend’s hand. Almost immediately, he withdrew. “God, River, you’re cold!”

The exclamation completely snapped her from her haziness and she jumped in her seat, bewildered. “Chris, how did I get here?”

“Uh, you walked? Unless you’re secretly superman and can fly. So what was all the commotion at the lake about?”

River laid back into the chair distractedly, caressing her forehead as a small headache began to form in the middle, like a storm. “Someone drowned. Chris, I don’t remember coming back to the car.”

The brunet took a slow turn into their neighborhood, passing houses with brown rooftops and white walls, with trucks and minivans. “Maybe you are in shock. Do you want to spend the night? Maybe that’ll help.”

“Yeah, sure. Thanks, Chris.” River answered, leaning her forehead against the window. For once, the window didn’t feel cold.

Later that night, River called her mom to tell her where she was before she collapsed into Chris’s bed, snuggling Chris’s old giant teddy bear named Wonder Will. Chris slept on the floor amongst heaps of blankets and pillows with Iron Man playing in the background.

Yeah, a school day would be best. I wrote them going to sleep and I'm about to post it ^_^
Still here but I'm a bit concerned with the posting rule with my new work schedule so I want to hear how flexible you all might be before jumping in.

I am pretty much free for the rest of the summer except for a few movie days here and there and possibly a small one-day road trip (:
Great! I will write up a post tonight (: Do you want to do a timeskip to the next day or no?
