Hello! I'm a 20 year old professional ballerina and aspiring writer. I will be attending college next fall, for a musical theatre degree, and I want to explore myself as a writer while I still have a lot of free time to write. I have been RPing since I was 13, when I started with a Harry Potter story, and I've been writing fanfiction and original work since not long after that. I consider myself to be a high casual/advanced RPer... once I start writing, it's hard for me to stop! I had an account on here many eons ago, but I lost it and decided to start anew. My fandoms include HP, Supernatural, Sherlock, Doctor Who, Firefly, Merlin, Chronicles of Narnia, LOTR, SAO, Fruits Basket, Ouran High School Host Club, Pokemon, Marvel, DC, and countless others. I also am highly interested in anything that involves medieval time periods, magical creatures and fairies, or time travel.

Name: Valencia Tempest
Appearance: About 5’7”, slim but muscular, with dark green eyes and choppy, dark brown hair that reaches her shoulder blades. Generally wears a long coat, a bandana, dark breeches, and boots.

About: Valencia is a 23-year-old pirate from the Golden Age of Piracy.
She lost her parents when she was a child and got into piracy as a way to survive, rather than slipping into certain ‘other’ ways of making money as a pretty young girl. She worked hard to prove her worth and make her way in the world, and wound up doing some things she wasn’t proud of. It wasn’t her choice to become a pirate, but that’s just the path life took her upon.
She has a habit of getting herself into trouble, and maintains a gruff, curt exterior so that she’ll be taken seriously, but inside still has the sweet heart she was born with. She does everything she can to hide her soft side—she knows that the moment she lets it show could be the moment she loses her reputation or her life. Valencia is skilled with a cutlass and carries an assortment of knives concealed on her person, but refuses to use firearms. She’s a survivor and will do almost anything to save her own skin, but she won’t raise a hand against those who can’t defend themselves.
Valencia has a sharp tongue and a quick temper, but she can think calmly and clearly in tense situations. When she speaks, she often comes across as brusque, because she can be impatient with people who don't react as quickly as she does. She’s never met a man who can keep up with her, and doesn’t care if she never finds love. Love is for featherbrained fillies, anyway. She just wants to become rich enough that she can give up her pirating ways and live comfortably.
Valencia has a question mark tattooed on her left cheekbone as a symbol that she doesn’t know who she wants to be anymore, but has accepted the person she’s become; and sports other tattooed marks on her arms and back.

Hi! Your ideas sound interesting. I too am a fan of love/hate relationships and fantasy/sci-fi settings. I like to play as female characters who are tough on the outside with a tender heart, girl-next-door type characters who are too nice and easily manipulated and are trying to become something bolder and greater than their lot in life, and characters who are feminine and intelligent and almost boring, but circumstances or situations force them out of their comfort zone, and they have to work hard to develop unfamiliar skill sets in order to stay alive/defeat the antagonist. If you have any plot ideas or outlines and would like to start an RP with me, please send me a PM!

Hey there! Just want to let you know I'm interested. I grew up with DC comics and I don't know a lot about the current stuff, but I feel like I know the JLA characters really well, and also the Teen Titans. I could even do a Green Lantern RP. My knowledge of Marvel is less extensive, but I do have a soft spot for the X-men. Do you have any plots or outlines in mind, or are you looking to brainstorm?
Ooh I'm interested. Would love to do one in the Golden Age of Piracy with some fantasy elements in there. I love the idea of a dragon attacking a shipful of pirates as they try to steal from the wrong treasure hoard.
