A down-town basement would be pretty well soundproofed, yeah. I like this idea. So, we have either a large shack on the boundaries of a rich family's land, or a down-town basement under an abandoned building. I like the latter idea, personally, seeing as the concrete would insulate the sound pretty well, I think. (I apologize to the people not involved in this conversation. :p First come first serve on town building~)

That could work. Though with a normal highschool in a town this size holding three hundred or so students at a time, I imagine using an abandoned factory of some kind, a few miles away from the rest of town. It could still be bought by one of the rich parents, and would be large enough for a hundred or so people. Renovate it to be semi-clubbish. Nothing fancy, but a nice speaker system for a DJ, a bar, pool tables, few gambling tables... You get the gist. A shack just doesn't sound big enough, ya know ya know?

It's time to start designing Switchville. First and foremost, the two places we'll be spending the most time. The Highschool... And the student-club. An illegal club for students, where all of our underage drinking and drug needs may be met, with loud music and club dancing. Where shall we place them? What will they look like? Suggestions, go!

Ama, I'll match you with somebody one yours is made. There's one guy I have waiting in PMs that I accepted, though if he doesn't post in the OOC by tonight I'll decide he forgot/flaked, and make another character for you. I have no issues playing two toons after swapping those. :P Also, if he does show up, I'm so sorry. e.e I accepted the character, because it's a great character. But I feel so sorry for whoever has to play him. XD

Appearance:

Standing at 5'10" and built athletically, Aren looks like your average highschool guy... Kind of. Look at that handsome face. Look at it. His eyes are a light grey in color.

Personality:
- Aren is highly intelligent, possessing an almost genius level intellect.

- Despite, or perhaps due to, his intelligence, he is easily bored by most things, and thus comes off as lazy by finding better things to do. Like read.

- Total bookworm.

- Normally, he's a very calm person, and keeps to himself.

- When it comes to threats to those he considers friends, he is quick to anger... And quick to violence.

- Has a paralyzing phobia of arachnids. (Spiders)

- Generally... Neutral. He does what he feels like doing, when it comes to "Right" and "Wrong". He could be seen as a good or bad person, depending on the time of day.

History:
His history is, frankly, a total mystery to the school. He came from nowhere in the middle of sophomore year, taking the back seats in class and generally staying quiet and reading through lessons. Whenever a question was thrown at him, he answered briefly with his nose still buried in the pages of whatever he was reading... And was almost always correct. This brought confusion to most of the teachers, who eventually gave up on trying to make him actively participate in lessons.

However, out of school, or in the commons around people in normal circumstances, he proved to be a rather enjoyable person to be around, good at making people laugh and making friends- With decent people, at least. He holds a special distaste for bullies and the infamous jackass jock archetype. Over time, he proved to be a good friend to have- He didn't put up with people messing with his friends, and when it came down to it, he proved quite capable in the art of kicking ass. Miraculously, his habit of getting into fights has yet to get him expelled. Or suspended.

The unknown reason behind this? His father is a rich man. -Very- rich, and made several rather generous donations to the school to keep them funded and kicking. Afraid to offend the man, they go easy on punishing Aren. Though rather long detentions are pretty common... As of yet, nobody suspects his family wealth, due to Aren's habit of living only on funds he makes for himself. A crappy car, an old-school flip-phone, modest clothes... Kid pays his own way, working for a pizza delivery service in town- He tends to come to the door with something along the lines of "Hello, would you like to take a moment to talk about our lord and savior, Cheesus Crust?". Comical pizza delivery is best pizza delivery.

Skills:
- Excellent reflexes and senses.

- Badass to the max.

- Enjoys smacking people with textbooks.

- Excellent climber. Particularly when it involves climbing into second story school windows to pretend he totally wasn't late for class... Or climbing into a lady's window.

- Far better than average at... Pretty much all scientific and literate academic pursuits. Math? Not so much. He also sucks at geography. Horribly.

- Knows his way around the kitchen. Bacon, waffles, and cheesecake anybody?

Name: Ethan Davis Siroto

Ethan is 5’10 and and weighs about 176 pounds, he has light blue eyes and wavy brown hair that he highlights.

History:
Ethan Siroto was born to District Judge Daniel Siroto, who has now become Chief Justice of Maine at the young (for a judge) of 41. Ethan’s mother, Elizabeth Asbell, was what most would label a gold digger, seeing a bright young law student she jumped on the chance to be with someone that she thought could go as far as Daniel Siroto. Since getting involved with Daniel when she was 19 and he was 21 she has not worked a day in her life despite having an undergraduate degree in Interior Design. Because Elizabeth Siroto is more interested in money and living well then actually having a family she and her son have nearly no relationship as she spends most of her time away from home. Daniel Siroto on the other hand as the Chief Justice of main spends most of his time south in the city of Bangor about 3 hours south of Switchville.
As both of his parents spend most of their time away, Ethan normally has run of the house. He often takes advantage of this with small get-togethers (about a dozen or so people) where he and those that are invited play pool, listen to music, play cards, drink, do a light amount drugs (mainly party drugs like Molly but also including Pot, and things as hard as cocaine).
As far as school goes Ethan is kind of a drifter, friends with everyone but best friends with none. Scholarship wise Ethan is a decent student never letting his GPA drop below a 2.75, despite that though he does tend to blow off classes whenever it suits. This blowing off of classes is mitigated by his natural brilliance.
Relationship wise Ethan has had a handful of girlfriends throughout his 3 and half years of high school, the most recent being Laneyah Lancaster. A girl who had more than a little reputation for being “easy” but Ethan thought he could change her. The two had been together for a solid two months when Ethan found out that Laneyah had been messing around with other people behind his back. When he brought it up she basically walked out and just let it go, no fuss. Ethan on the other still holds a grudge (going as far as to revenge her nudes on the internet) that someone could just walk out on him that easily. Since their break up back in early December, shortly before Ethan’s birthday, he has yet to go out with someone else.

Lucy

Name: Lucy Estuert

Personality: Lucy is a clean, naive, innocent, and sweet-hearted, young girl. However, she has a devious and curious soul, which eventually gets the best of her. She loves pink, rainbows, cats, unicorns, and. . cocaine?

History: At fourteen years old, Lucy went from homeschooling to public school. She was literally thrown out of her little pond of a house and into the giant, monster ocean of the public school system, which resided in her neighborhood, or backyard for all that matters. Her brother, James, had also been thrown into the public school system (years before her) and he survived just fine except for one thing--he developed the habit of enjoying psychedelics. Lucy dared not tell her parents, afraid to make a rift between her brother and her, as well, as the fear of breaking her parents' hearts. It was not as if her brother's grades suffered any. If anything, he graduated with flying colors and landed himself a hefty scholarship to the honors system at the state university.

However, Lucy had a much harder time socially, educationally than her brother did. As a little fish, she was drowning in the public school and was not sure how to ask for the proper help. Her grades suffered, and she, of course, found a student tutor to mentor her. Unfortunately, the tutor decided to help Lucy in a way that was not quite legal. She offered Lucy Adderall, promising great results with her grades. Lucy wanted to be just like her tutor. In fact, she wanted to be a tutor--but not with suffering grades. She looked at the tutor as some kind of hero and took the Adderall.

With the Adderall, Lucy found herself becoming more social and her grades were even beginning to improve. Of course, with her social life fluttering, the peer pressure was getting to the naive, innocent child. She found herself smoking weed at a social outing. Her brother did it, and he was just fine. She shrugged off her angel's warning and continued down this path, and suddenly, she was thrown under the bus without even knowing it. She was introduced to a white powder, finer than unicorn hair--cocaine. It was her drug. She had to have it, again. She just had to. She had no real explanation as to why, except that it was hers for the taking. Those moments, those fantastical snowy moments after snorting a line of unicorn hair--she wanted them always.

Of course, she could not pay for it. Cocaine did not come for free. She sold some CDs, DVDs, but nothing too noticeable. She did not want her parents to discover what she was doing (snorting). It was not as if she could get a job, either. Her parents would never allow it--wanting her to focus more on her studies than making money. In this, Lucy found her way to get cocaine. Several days before her fifteenth birthday, Lucy found herself in the same bed with her Geometry teacher. He had large ears, a large nose, a large mouth, and large hands. He had been her first customer, and the reason she could pay for much more than a couple of dime bags for her birthday celebration (when her parents were asleep).

The repercussions of the incident left her scarred but she got what she wanted. Her pimp wanted her for more business, coaxing her with phrases that left her vulnerable. "She was good money, a fresh body." She was not sure if she wanted to do it, again. It hurt. It was scary. He was over fifty and had a wrinkly forehead, wrinkly eyes, and a wrinkly mouth, and all those wrinkles had slobbered over her petite, adolescent frame. And yet, during class, he hid his wrinkles and age under a tie, a white, buttoned, Oxford shirt, and dress slacks. She felt like a monster, and her grades began to suffer as she feared continuing business and who her second client may be. She never expected her first one to be her Geometry teacher--and he was not even cutting her any slack with her school grades. It left her feeling sick. .

. .But the white snow that reminded her of Christmas morning wouldn't leave her alone.

Skills: Lucy is good at art and sewing. She was good at math and science when being homeschooled, but found herself drowning in these subjects. Her English grades seem fine, as well as her history grades. She does not mind physical education due to having played soccer for a bit; however, she quit playing due to her timid nature. Nonetheless, she enjoys the outdoors.

Other Details: Not looking for a relationship, but open. She prefers wearing (at least knee-length) skirts, to keep herself feminine. She does not particularly like jeans. She occasionally sews herself a dress or a skirt to wear. They normally have some off-stich that reminds me very time that she made a mistake.

She loves cats, unicorns, pink, rainbows and crushes easily on men but is intimidated by them. Despite her timid nature towards the world, she looks up to her stoner brother without question and would protect his name with her life.

Laneyah

Name: Laneyah 'Laney' Mai Lancaster

Personality: Stubborn, narcissistic, loud, slightly religious, reckless (for the rush), party girl, but it is to be noted that she is on the slutty side and definitely gets around.

History: Coming from Japanese descent on her mother's side, Laney was raised in the Shinto religion but never felt as close to her faith as her parents wanted her to be. Regardless of how spiritual she felt, the guilt of her many misdeeds often keep her mind occupied; the most common of these misdeeds being sleeping around, but often she found herself using the rush of minor theft -- just to prove she could. Her most recent flame, Ethan Siroto, ended on good terms... in a one sided sense, as it was Laney who had cheated on Ethan two months into their relationship. The breakup, as usual, didn't really affect her or her attitude toward Ethan, but that does not mean the feeling is mutual.
Since she was a child she would turn to making music as an outlet for stress and concern, always using the old drum set her father, a respected lawyer, had bought for her to make amateur rhythms and fills, coinciding with her own loudmouthed traits. Mr. Lucas Lancaster's knowledge of law was often put to the test to get Laney out of charges for her common minor crimes, and their relationship became rocky when she had decided to court Ethan, the son of his law school rival who became Maine's chief of Justice and left Lucas behind as a simple lawyer.

Skills: Although she seldom studies, Laney passes most of her classes at at least an average level, but she tends to fail at sciences. Her mother, Kanade, insured Laney grew to be fluent in Japanese to stay true to her heritage. Amateur drumming skills and good at dancing are also in her repertoire. Laney is also a naturally charismatic speaker when it's time to get what she wants.

Other Details: Laney has a sense of style that is almost punk, usually wearing a skirt and striped or torn leggings with her favorite jackets and tops. She is bisexual, adorable yet sexy, and tends to mouth off when she is angry. Her only prized possessions are her drumsticks signed from Brandon Barnes, her favorite drummer from her favorite band "Rise Against". The sticks were a gift from a groupie she had dated in the distant past, but they still remained very special to her (while having nothing to do with the groupie himself).

"There are worse ways to use people than giving them orgasms. Jeez." -Laney to the girl, Pam, she cheated with.while dating Ethan.

Personality:

- Quiet/shy, he has very few friends and keeps to himself for the most part.
- He cares very little about anything, from schoolwork to his own appearance. This is often seen as laziness by others.
- Suffers from panic attacks during stresssful situations, is often nervous/tetchy when interacting with those who are not close friends.
- Avoids conversation about his past and personal life even with those he knows well.

History:

Edward was always just your average kid, nothing remarkable about him. His grades were good, but not exceptional and he kept to himself aside from his close friends. He had never been one to draw attention to himself. In the eyes of his parents and other students he had always been in the shadow of his brother. Jason was everything Edward was not. Only one year older than Edward, Jason was the perfect pupil - great grades, captain of the school football team, he even made senior-class president.

It happened during Edward's junior year. He was in the passenger seat of Jason's car driving home on a Friday evening. The pickup had swerved out in front of them, the driveer was drunk. Head-on collision. Edward was lucky to have lived, Jason was not so fortunate.

Edward went off the rails after Jason's death. He couldn't deal with all of the attention, the pity and the hollow apologies from people he had never even spoken to before. Therapy helped a little but it wasn't enough. He started drinking heavily and got involved in hard drugs. It became difficult to even care about anything anymore, he stopped trying at school, he stopped hanging out with his friends. The rest of junior year was a struggle, but he made it. Just one more to go.
