Pfft. Want to know the most terrifying opponent you could ever face on a battlefield? A speedster wielding a recoil-less magical minigun that weights nothing and that scales to whatever tier he's in. For defence, he's got a chargable riot shield that -can not be moved by others if it's been charged- Cry out with rage as he trolls around the field, constantly firing, always on the move, never taking hits.Edit: Heck, it could be a magical Uzi shooting 50.cal shells that would never run out of ammo.

I was *this* close to making an intermediate character that utilized a 25mm autocannon that used electrothermal-chemical technology to fire rocket-assisted SABOT shells, with its trademark ability being that it never ran out of ammo, gaining its ammunition from a pocket universe that operated as a metaphysical firearm and ammunition manufacturing plant. The only weakness of the weapon was that it needed to change out its barrels after firing some 40,000 rounds.

Then I ran into issues of what tier this thing would have been, so I dropped it. I figured that it would be an equal to some powerful ability of magical weapon, or something along those lines, though it was probably the result of me struggling (yet again) with the tier system itself.

I should stick to low tier and call it done. Might make some asshole that works at a corner store, with his main power being that he can control ATM machines with his mind.

I dislike fighting people who 'control elements'. They almost always pull shit like that. My roleplay experiences are embarrassing so I wont talk about them, but I've dealt with pretty much every terrible cliche there is. I loathe them :c

Hm, I've never had this issue.

Though, then again, I've only ever been in one Arena fight.

Most of my roleplay fighting scenarios dealt with excessive asteroid-based orbital bombardment, nuclear bombs of all shapes and sizes, and tank battalions.

When I did use characters in PvP-like instances, they always relied on ranged attacks, whether it was a fireball, a sub-machinegun or a pistol.

Or in one case, a tamed Dire Wolf that my character, prior to getting into a confrontational situation, augmented using spells that increased the creature's durability, strength and speed.
I guess I could give this a whirl.

My claim:

EDIT: Hmmm...Ender is already where I am.

Welp, to the south I go then! I'm taking up shop south of Alf, directly across the water channel that separates his area from the northeastern peninsula of the western landmass.

Dude I can see the weakness in every character, just because I see it doesn't mean it's non-metagamingly exploitable. Sometimes in character logic only goes so far, I'm not talkin' about yer mech Green, your mech has a hilariously blatant weakness. But I'm getting at stuff like: Golden Age Green Lantern's weakness was wood. Wood! How would you be able to learn this information in combat? Nobody in the arena has wooden weapons. Would they just conveniently be disarmed and find a stick to beat the shit out of him with? Sometimes weaknesses can be ridiculously dangerous, other times super obvious. But just because it's obvious doesn't mean it's exploitable. Example: Superman. Kryptonite, a material that's dangerously radioactive to humans. It's also incredibly rare. And then you've got normal human characters who are low tier, who are all weak to bullets. But we all know what happens when you shoot bullets in an RP.

I could see bullets missing often if the target is on the move, and even more so if strong environmental factors are thrown into the mix, such as high winds, thick fog or smoke or rain obscuring the shooter's vision. If the shooter is on the move, hitting a moving target is even harder.

The excessive Matrix-style dodging is literally maximum cheese, however. One of the few times I used a gun-heavy character was against one of Crapton's characters, though his character was more of a mobile slab of wrought iron than a purely organic creature, so I guess that character's capacity to absorb hundreds of .50 BMG rounds (as well as didge them since she was moving fairly often during the fight) was justified.

Not many ppl have skalla's years of experience. Except maybe Rilla.

Isn't measuring roleplaying experience difficult? It's nothing more than collaborative writing at best, and not really a skill on its own.
Could be interesting. Give me a day or two to create a character.
Possibly interested, if not solely for the fact that this NRP has a clearly-established storyline in place.
Is this still accepting?

Or I can say no to your character and let you rant all over this site and ever else you want and pretend I care at all.

If the online statement is ambiguous in tone, people (and by that, probably most people) tend to project their current mood onto the statement. That's when emoticons come in handy.

True.

ASTA, don't instigate more arguments. I'm really tired of arguing.

That wasn't my intention; I was making a lighthearted statement if anything.
