Beta, I would love for you to PM some of the nastier things Ysolda is capable of. I need to see if I made Maxwell too weak here, which is honestly something I've been afraid of since I entered him here, because again, I wanted to make him strength focused instead of special abilities, and the strength level for high tier isn't super....high.

You could just do what I did and make a character without being unintentionally influenced by the power levels of other people's characters. You do this simply by not reading other people's power listings.

In all truth, I have no idea how powerful BoT is.

Though to be real, I don't think the individual potency of your character really matters, only your character's specific tier (which automatically dictates the overall effectiveness and power of your attacks, but not necessarily the applications attributed to them) and your ability to write engaging combat, which also ties into your capacity to use your environment and your foe's inherent weaknesses to your advantage.

In general, the more vague your writing is, the less effective your attacks are---at least that's what I'm getting from Skall's original intentions for this RP (as outlined in the OP).
Your character is at Goku's level.

Before I go thermonuclear, can it be known that the three tiers don't have 'sub-levels' to them?
This can only end well.
I'm...pretty sure Skall set the RP up to not include 'sub-tiers' for the usual tier levels.

Also, that statement is pretty much loaded. It's practically begging for a massive argument/debate/shitstorm to erupt any second now.

I mean, can you hear the dick-slapping?
'Top' of the high tier is still high tier.
Beta, didn't you say you were going to post tomorrow?

Or was it later on tonight/today? I can't remember, though I do vaguely recall something along the lines of "getting shit-faced" (completely irrelevant).

The only times I've seen someone actually lose to a firearm, was when they got repeatedly caught out of cover and kept charging their foe head on without any attempt at evening the odds. Just because you bring a knife to a gun fight, doesn't mean you lose.

Or you just dodge 50,000 times and pull off a win.

If your interested more in gun fights, which I too enjoy, especially the Stony Man series. That's understandable, but to say the story and writing of one is superior to the other cause reasons, is quite silly really. It's easy to make board statements without any truth to it before one eventually start believing their own exaggerated lies. Cause yo, all Anime is about giant bewbs and never have any good writing ever.

Try telling Melon this first.

It's not like the strongest characters in the NS dump aren't magic or anything.

That too^

Hmm, that's because it was a more fantasy orientated Omniverse, I prefer it personally. Swords and sorcery is a lot more interesting than 'I pull the trigger of my Uzi lolololol.

I'd rather read about a US or German soldier caught in the Battle of the Bulge than about some wizard mowing her way through a horde of Tolkien-style mook orks. In order to fully take in the story potential behind firearms, you need to write more about what the user is feeling while under fire or when they're the one doing the shooting. Appropriate portrayals of modern warfare can be just as engaging, if not more so, than your run-of-the-mill fantasy story.

The weapons or the world aren't what make something interesting to read; it's about how it's written.
Frankly, it seems like people interested in those sorts of weapons are only interested in winning, but each to their own.

I see this more with people who don't use firearms, honestly.
