I'm interested! Though I may not have time to join, I'm not too sure at the moment.

As for the issue of who lives and who dies, couldn't you assign a number to each character and randomly draw who dies each week? They could then talk it out, come up with the clues, etc.

And there could be just a nonsense "afterlife hangout" where they all angst about being dead and killing each other, I dunno.
Myriah - Outpost/Counsellor Cottage - Matt

Myriah had once had a cottage all to herself once, back when Outpost was smaller and she was the sole leader of the community. She had never liked it much as it had always felt like a very lonely place. It wasn't fun being on top of so many people. The people of Outpost liked her she knew, but there was always that air of deference that she had come to despise. She could command these people around if she wanted to and that very idea sickened her. She had never wanted to be the leader of anything, simply only having wanted everyone to get along. Of course, as she began to make friends and be the mediator to so many people, they all began to look up to her. Without any effort on her part, she had become their leader.

When the mutiny occurred, Myriah hadn't been surprised. A leader that was friends with everyone wasn't necessarily a good leader, she knew that. It was just unfortunate it took until that moment before anyone else realized that. After the event had passed and the tears had stopped, Myriah was quick to step down from her position. She had always felt a council would work best for Outpost and was happy when the community agreed as well. She had given her cottage to Reggie, Outpost's new hero, and had opted to live inside what was once a counsellor's cottage with a few others of the community.

Thankfully for Matt, it was Myriah that answered the door. She smiled at him and took a moment to adjust her glasses. "Hello, Matt. What brings you by?" She moved aside to let him inside. "Are you interested in learning another language?" She was hopeful that he was interested, as so few others had stopped by to talk to her about it. At this rate, Elliot would still have no one to talk to.
Reggie - New Orleans - Sylar/Meghan

"Lead the way," Thomas said, giving Reggie a respectable nod. Reggie hoped the man's obedience would stay intact for what was to come. He told the men that they were to head East. They had to be quick, but they had to stay silent in case there were more armed men in the area. When Meghan came over the radio, Reggie glanced up at the street corner.

"We're turning on to Cleveland Avenue," he said, gesturing for his men to follow. "We will be five minutes at the most. Will that be enough time, Rudy?"

Rudy's voice came over the radio. "Too long. This is happening in the next minute."

Reggie swore to himself. "Meghan, if you or Sylar have any reservations about this, then I suggest you stand down. I can't have anyone going in half-cocked. If you're sure about this, you'll have to explain to me what you plan to do exactly within the next ten seconds."

I'm sorry about procrastinating, I will try to make a post this evening.

It's no problem! Take your time.
Rudy - Near The Pub - Enrique

"Your name is Sam for all I give a fuck right now." Rudy was still looking out the window, spying on the men outside. Some of them were heading to the back of the hotel now and the ones left in front were still speaking amongst each other. When Enrique asked for the radio, Rudy shook his head. "Yeah, no, that's not happening. Do you think this is a joke or-" But then Enrique grabbed the radio anyway and it took everything in Rudy not to deck the guy in response. "What the fuck do you think you're doing?" he asked, side-eyeing Simon. Rudy would have him to back him up, but he didn't want to start a fight, especially not right now. Reggie would probably explode if he found out.

"Bex, listen up," Enrique said into the radio. "You've got nine guys heading into that hotel with you, some have what look to be automatic rifles, they are well groomed- possibly ex military- either be quiet or get ready for some real hell to come your way, brother."

Fuck this guy. Rudy couldn't help but feel annoyed that Enrique sounded like he knew what he was talking about. Rudy sighed in annoyance when he finally had the radio back. "We could do that," Rudy said. "But-"

"Reggie speaking. Is something wrong on your end, Rudy?"

Rudy gave Enrique a withering look. "... No. Enrique suggested we attack first and have Luke's team overlap us."

"That may be best. Luke needs a moment to get to the roof."

Rudy nodded and gestured to Ben. "Don't get reckless out there, Ben. Stay in cover if you don't think you can do this." Ben nodded, fear and worry apparent on his face. Rudy felt for the poor kid. He was still new, and this was only supposed to be a routine scout, after all. "And Enrique, do you want to give us orders now? If you're not going to listen to me, the least we can fucking do is listen to you."
Reggie - New Orleans - Sylar/Meghan

After speaking with Rudy, it wasn't long before Sylar of all people came over the frequency. As Reggie listened, he noticed his team had gathered around him. His eyes met Phon's, and he knew exactly what the other man was thinking. They were relatively far from the hotel, so they would have to start moving quickly. They would not- no, could not- leave their comrades to fend for themselves.

"My group isn't in the hotel, Sylar, but we're on our way. Rudy's group is preparing to strike first, so don't do a damn thing until they go ahead." Sylar wasn't a member of the scouts, but Reggie's voice was just as direct with him as it was with his own men. "And no matter what, don't you dare let yourself or Meghan get hurt. We're all coming out of this unscathed."

Hey guys, sorry for responding, but unfortunately I'm in too many roleplays at the moment so I don't think I'll be continuing this. I'll try if I can, but you should most likely just either adopt or kill off my character. Sorry for this, really wish I could continue

That's okay :(

We'll just say you're character has gone missing, in case you ever come back.
Rudy - Near The Pub - Enrique

Rudy lowered his binoculars and gave Enrique a sidelong look. He saw Ben on the other side of the man adopt a sudden look of bewilderment and Rudy found himself rolling his eyes. "We don't kill random people," he said. "Unless we can be sure they're a threat to us." His gaze lingered on Enrique. If the man kept that kind of talk up, he'd be finding himself in a load of trouble. It'd be too bad, as Rudy didn't mind the other two that much.

"He's gone now," Simon said from behind them. "Threat or not, he's Luke's problem now."

Rudy nodded and looked back across the street. He focused on the hotel's windows, trying to find a weak point amongst them. However, it seemed the girl that lived there had done a rather thorough job on them. Biters would have a damn hard time assaulting the place.

Ben suddenly spoke up, grabbing Rudy's attention. "Hey... Look over there!" Rudy looked toward where Ben was pointing, ready to admonish him for speaking so loudly. However, the words died on his throat when he saw the group of armed men.

"Jesus Christ, look at them all," Simon said.

There was about ten of them, all heavily armed. Rudy imagined a gang to look like some biker group typically, but this group looked anything but. They all looked rather young, sporting clean-shaven faces and short military cut hair. In addition to their weapons, some of them wore heavy backpacks. By Rudy's estimation, they looked like a bunch of college kids out on a hunting trip. "But what are they hunting...?" he asked out loud. He watched the men approach the hotel and saw a few of them speak to each other, pointing at the entrance. They then motioned to the back of the hotel, and Rudy realized what they were up to. "They were tracking whoever went into the hotel."

"Looks like it," Simon said. "... Ben, new guy, get down for god's sake."

Rudy pulled out his radio. "Rudy speaking. There's a group of nine guys looking to attack the hotel. They've all got guns, mostly rifles." Despite Reggie's teaching, Rudy could never quite understand how to identify guns. The different kinds and different bullets, it was beyond his ability to learn. It was a miracle Rudy could even maintain one.

"Stay where you are and don't get seen," Reggie said over the radio.

Rudy crouched down and looked toward Enrique. "I know you're itching to fucking get in there, but don't blow your load on us man, all right?"
Bex - The Pub - Hazel/Nicolas

Bex heard Reggie's voice over the radio. "Hazel," he said, his voice loud and authoritative. "There's a group of armed men surrounding your location. I promise you that this is a surprise to me as well. My men will do their best to protect you."

Bex stood up quickly. "Are all the windows upstairs boarded up? Is there a place where we can get a vantage point?"

Luke had stood up as well. He stole a glance toward the guy who Hazel had just let in, suspicion obvious on his face. "How about the roof?" he asked.

Ohhh, okay I'll go to the outpost since my character is going to into the woods in the first place. Thank you for the reminder.

If you ever need a reminder on the current locations, you can always refer to this this post!

I'm approving this as well. And thank you so much for your kind words!
Bull - Cell - Robert

A part of him was expecting it, but that didn't make it any less painful. He hadn't wanted to, but he screamed out in pain. He began to curse and swear, but his interrogator was quick to shut him up with a piece of cloth shoved into his mouth. Still, Bull pulled uselessly on his chains, his face going beat red. His eyes were wet with tears.

When the man pulled the cloth away, Bull wanted to yell at him. He wanted to tell this guy to fuck off, that he'd kill him someday. He would boil this man's bones, if he could. But the throbbing pain in his leg kept Bull in check, and all he could do was stare at his interrogator.

As Robert talked, it dawned on Bull that he would die here. Snot had begun to dribble from his nose and Bull sniffed roughly in an attempt to gain some dignity. He was a complete wreck. "What is beneath your feet?" asked the man. Confused, Bull furrowed his brow in response. "What is beneath your feet?!!" he repeated, yelling now. Bull could only shake his head and close his eyes.

"I don't know."
Reggie - New Orleans - Hazel

Reggie listened intently to the girl's questions. She sounded young, or at least she sounded like a woman with a strong voice. He waited patiently for her to return before he answered. "We wish to stay the night because your location is secure. Normally we would avoid staying within the city, but we've found ourselves running short on time. As you've already secured the hotel, we would kindly ask to stay under your roof."

Reggie paused, looking toward the others. "... I promise you that no harm will come to you. We're not on the run from anyone dangerous." Reggie cleared his throat. "And frankly, if we wanted to hurt you, my men could have done that already."
Lauren - Haywood/Infirmary

Her eyes slowly opened. Lauren blinked rapidly, her eyes adjusting to the light above. She felt a dull pain... somewhere on her body. She was numb and her body wouldn't quite move in the way she wanted it to. She tried to lift her head, but she was met only with a splitting headache.

"H... ello...?"
Reggie - New Orleans - Hazel

Reggie held the radio to his ear, though his eyes were squarely on the man named Thomas. He watched the man laugh uproariously, apparently finding a joke Phon said to be incredibly funny.

Thomas was the man Reggie had been the most concerned about. He was very different from his two companions. The man named Bex had a strange intensity about him and was prone to long stretches of silence. He was always looking around, sizing the other men up... but that was normal. Enrique was also a quiet man, but more obvious in his actions. Reggie doubted the man trusted any of them at all. If it wasn't for Thomas, Enrique probably wouldn't be on this mission.

Thomas was much more agreeable than the other two. He smiled often and enjoyed conversation. He made jokes on occasion and went out of his way to be courteous. This behavior seemed fine at first, but after watching Thomas closely for most of the day, Reggie had found it unsettling. This wasn't the world as it was before and everyone now had baggage. Whether or not they had baggage before the apocalypse, they undoubtedly had it now. Thomas tried to hide his baggage-- and he did it very well. Reggie knew that the man had issues somewhere buried deep within him, but he just couldn't figure the man out as his facade of niceties was impenetrable.

Reggie didn't like not being able to read someone.

"The girl wants to speak with you, Reggie."

Reggie blinked, slightly surprised by Luke's voice in his head. He had forgotten he was even holding the radio. "Hand it to her, then," he said after he collected himself. He heard silence for a moment, but then a blast of static and the muffled sounds of Luke giving the girl the radio. Before she could speak, Reggie cleared his throat. "I hear your name is Hazel," he said. "My name is Reggie. I am the leader of Outpost's scouting team. You wanted to speak with me?"
Rudy - New Orleans/Near The Pub - Ben/Simon/Enrique/Nicolas

Having been relayed the location of the hotel by Luke, Rudy and his team had begun a watch on the location from across the street. They were to look out for any suspicious activity until they were given permission to head inside, but that was proving to be a very boring task. That was until Ben spotted a male heading toward the hotel.

"He's listening at the wall," said Ben, peering out a convenience store window. Rudy came up behind him and looked through his binoculars.

"Yep, doesn't seem like he's been near the place before," Rudy said. With his binoculars, he could see that the guy was about his age. Maybe a bit older, but that could have been due to his height. Rudy had never been called a tall guy.

Simon came up behind him and said, "He could be waiting for a signal. There might be an ambush."

Rudy shook his head. He watched the guy then proceed to go for the door. "He's fucking heading in already. He's by himself, so I doubt he's looking to attack Luke. Let's just wait and see."

Simon grumbled and moved back to where Enrique was standing. He leaned back on one of the store racks, his eyes squinting in the direction of the window. Rudy rolled his eyes and continued to observe through the binoculars.
Bull - Cells - Robert

Bull's body had gone numb. He could barely move in the position he was in and his own weight assured that any movement he could make was minimal. He was also sick to his stomach from hunger and doubted that he would be fed anytime soon. These men would look at him and ask themselves, "Why should we bother to keep this guy fed?" Even before people started coming back from the dead, Bull had always been called fat. He had been known for little more than being a shy fat kid in school and it had been some of the worst years of his life. As he got older, he managed to pack on muscle and grow a beard, so he could at least intimidate the people who chose to judge him. Still, he knew people thought of him as fat, no matter how much of it he managed to turn into muscle.

Now here he was, in a position that felt extremely foreign to Bull. It was not unlike his days as an awkward child, he realized. He remembered feeling like a prisoner then too, except the prison then was no more than his own body.

He thought of Lauren constantly. She had been his everything since he met her months ago. He had never been married and had thought the idea incredibly dull, but Lauren was a girl he could see himself marrying. Of course it was a shame he had to meet her after the world had turned to hell, but Bull knew he always had shit luck.

When the man entered Bull's cell, he still thought of Lauren. Bull paid no attention to the man, even as he pulled up a chair and played tauntingly with a crowbar. He heard the man speak, but it almost felt like he was miles away. Bull knew he had to answer, for otherwise this man would kill him, and Bull desperately did not want to die. He had to live, so he could spend the rest of his days with the woman he loved.

"There was a slaughter in those catacombs," Bull said, making an effort to look his interrogator in the eyes. "What makes you think Tyler walked out of that alive?" Bull had known Tyler for quite some time. He didn't believe at all that Tyler had died that day, but he couldn't quite fathom why this man was so sure of that as well.
