I know how those letters work, you tool. Either one can be correct. On the one hand, there's the fact that the inventor decided it to be one way. On the other, the other pronunciation has been adopted into the dialect by a huge amount of people. If people pronounce something a specific way or have a different meaning for a word, and it gets added into the dialect by massive usage, it becomes correct for that dialect.
