My deck was Red/Green. I had the most multicolored cards for it and both colors are pretty straightforward. The shop plays Standard. I would like to play Modern so I could use the 2013 cards that I've grown to love from the video game I played, but alas that is not the case. And in Modern there are a lot more opportunities to face off against a broken-powerful deck, so it's not too bad. New is good.

I know that feel, Mahz. I have a black/white douchebag vampirism deck (not actual vampires, just tons of effects that steal life from the enemy to give it to me), consistently stomped the shit out of all the decks my friends and brothers had. Then I brought it to a tournament that it was legal in and I got my ass handed to me. Managed to win against one guy who seemed to be rocking an intro deck for the newest set with no modifications, but everyone else made me their bitch. I never did another non-standard tournament.

There's a fairly new mechanic called Extort that focuses on that. GET BACK INTO IT JORICK.
