I'm not riled up. Any ill will you assume me to have is in your head. As it is almost every time something like this happens. I'm just a little careless with my wording is all.

That sounds exactly like he's arguing that we don't need it. He's giving reasons not to have it. We do need it.

I don't understand why being "grown" enough to not need it makes any sense. Why don't we just keep it anyway?

I said that first sentence not only because no one else has had any issue with them, but also because David wasn't even saying that he himself wanted them removed. All I was thinking was "What's the point? No one is saying that they should go away, why is he even rebutting?"

I imagine it was taken as "Fuck you and you're shit," or perhaps me worrying that he himself was considering it, and had the power to do so? That's what his last post says, right?

I was saying that there is no way they are getting removed, and so it was pointless to even bring up negatives. While you can argue that I was out of line by saying that, it still made sense contextually.

The "won't" did in fact throw me off. It sounds like an 'if, then' statement. "If factions were removed, then I won't have this problem." Sounded like an argument. I didn't reply to the rest because I didn't fully understand what he was saying. I wasn't going to press it because what he was saying was directly tied into to what he thought that I was saying in the first place, and I didn't want to go too far into it.

I saw the tone of his responses as "wanting to get rid of factions." I don't know how I couldn't. He didn't explicitly say that he wanted it either way, and without the knowledge of him being "well aware most people want them [so I am not ACTUALLY arguing for them to be gone]," it wasn't obvious at all that he was simply arguing for the sake of arguing.

And pointing out negatives against a feature while everyone is deciding on changes DOES imply a tone of wanting that feature to be gone.

And by that I meant that arguing is pointless.

I think the real issue here was that David knew his intentions for why he was saying what he was saying, but I did not. I assumed different intentions. I assume intentions sometimes.

Or perhaps it was my failure to grasp certain things. I wouldn't be surprised. Either way, I don't mind.

But I would appreciate it if you brought it down a few levels and didn't continue with the rage and uh...

EDIT: Actually, the "won't" threw me off for a different reason, but I couldn't put it into words. I came up with another reason, which upon review isn't very good.
