Giygas told us mcmmo levels and any items we want will be transfered over. Someone else told me modded (signs added) chests make them easier to identify to move, but I honestly have no idea how stuff will be transfered.

Keeping mcmmo levels alone would have been the perfect way to "not lose everything you worked for" and have a fresh start. I wish I knew that was on the table back when we were still talking about it. Fresh starts are fun, you guyz. Really. You guys?

Nah, but I guess I'll take my fair share of transferred items. Hopefully we're not talking about entire collections, tho.
Did you guys decide what you're going to get carried over into the new world?

It looks like mcmmo levels for one...

What browser are you using?Google chrome lets you right click images and search for them to find out what they are and what they're from.Pretty easy. Don't have to wait as long for a response from someone.

I do it with a Firefox plug-in. Makes life grand.

I don't think the requirements for things could be very balanced to appease light players and heavy players alike with what is almost exponential growth of resources at later stages of the game.I'm also unsure as to exactly what it would entail, but I'm going off of the idea that you can trade your diamonds in for money/items.

What I'm saying can all be boiled down to this: the power/diamonds/money curve of mcmmo is too high for a practical economy.

You may be worrying too much

Maybe

can change value requirements in the code for the economy right?like I said, I barely even know what an economy plugin would entail other than being able to mess around with money.

Well I'm like 99% sure it doesn't, but test it and let me know. I don't want an exploitable bug, but I don't think they'd leave such a glaring one in there.

I responded to "economy" in an earlier edit.

And for the record, while I was wrong about infinite diamonds, I still think that something like multiplying your diamonds with silk touch, followed by the standard multiplying with Fortune/Double Drops is overpowered. I'm not arguing for it's removal, as I don't think I would win that one (and I used it a bit myself), but I think that is just one example of how fucked our economy would be if we enabled it with our current set-up. I've accepted the idea of people's ability to get WAYYY more diamonds than they would on vanilla, but translating that to way more everything with an economy doesn't sit well with me.

Like I said, this is not possible. You find a vein and you mine it, you can get double or even triple. I found 2 veins mashed together so it was like 10 ore blocks that I mined to get 30 ore blocks. Now if I place one down then grab it up again with my silk touch, it doesn't do shit. It works on pre-generated blocks, it's not exploitable. All I would do is waste durability on my silk touch pick.Believe you me, smiral and I may have truckloads of diamonds thanks to mcmmo, but there's no duplicating happening.

For some reason I was pretty sure it worked for placed blocks as well. I planned on testing it, too, but server...

Okay that's what you mean. Duplicate (or dupe) in my mind means you exploit a bug to duplicate an item. Like say you place a block then silk touch it and get 2. That was what I thought you meant.Yes you can get double (or even triple with superbreaker skill) ore drops, but that's a whole part of mcmmo, is basically the main aspect of mining, and I definitely don't wanna see that taken out. I wouldn't have spent so much time getting to lvl 1000 if I knew that might go down. also you made me say the name wrong again. apparently it's mythicdrops I believe.

It's essentially duplicating if you can turn 1 diamond ore block into stacks and stacks of diamonds simply by mining it over and over with a silk touch and causing you to get more ore blocks.

Like say you place a block then silk touch it and get 2.

That's exactly what I'm saying.

MysticDrops was already removed weeks ago.

Shows how up to date I am

Double drops doesn't let you duplicate items, to my knowledge.

I'm 90% sure you can duplicate diamond ore blocks with silk touch and the Double Drop (and the regular Super Breaker can do it too, sorta) passive ability for mcMMO.

Doivid said also idk I like the economy thing but I don't even know what balancing it would take

Balancing so that it's not overpowered. And I was saying that we should reach a nice equilibrium of balance without the economy first so that it's even harder to cheat the system.

For example, if I'm right about item duplication from mcmmo, that right there fucks the economy up entirely. Similarly, other mcmmo powers like 3x harvesting and all that could easily break the balance of an economy, but not as much as infinite duplication.
