Our first quest is a Skirmish in the Ruins. We must complete 100% of room battles. Right off the bat we find a map in a bookcase. It reveals much of the upcoming dungeon, and will take a bit of the unwanted surprise out of our quest. After two easy battles and a third which left us slightly bruised, we arrived at the second to last room in the dungeon.
The skeletons were dispatched with relative ease. But there was one battle left. On the way to the final room idle read some very disturbing books and opened a jar of ashes which left her with a Creeping Cough = -5 Accuracy, -5 Dodge, -1 Speed. Our final enemies consist of one giant asshole the size of two men, a cutthroat, and a fusilier. After taking out the big guy and the ranger, we looked to be on the way to success without any casualties. But victory and survival are never assured until the very end, as the enemy cutthroat deals two simultaneous critical hits on Awson and Azarthes, leaving the two at 0 HP and at Death's Door.
But without a second enemy to finish them off before our party could react, we successfully defeat the last foe and finish the quest.
Though we succeeded, we did not leave entirely unscathed. Between the dark atmosphere and specialized enemy attacks, our heroes suffered a great deal of stress. It's important to keep those levels in check, so during the next quest Awson and Kill Bones will be spending some time healing their minds in the Abbey while Azarthes will be drinking his troubles away in the Tavern. And now we need names for this new lot of chucklefucks: a Vestal, a Crusader, and a Leper.
So now we have:

Good starting combat skills.

Notable quirks: Warrior of Light = (Light Above:75)+10% Damage

Average starting combat skills.

Notable quirks: Quick Reflexes = +2 Speed

I haven't played much with Plague Doctor, so I dunno about the skills.

Notable quirks: Quickdraw = (First Round)+4 Speed

Below average starting combat skills.

Notable quirks: Quickdraw = (First Round)+4 Speed
Syphilis = -5 Accuracy, -10% Damage, -10% Max HP

Now I have to decide whether or not I'll swap out starting skills and remove negative perks when I unlock the coinciding buildings in town.

Doing neither will be awful for mortality rates. I'm thinking of doing skills stuff but letting negative perks stick around.

It looks like @Kill Bones knows what's going on, so I'll want to see his opinion on this.
But first we need a Highwayman, a Plague Doctor, and a Vestal.
@AwsonWe just ordered one for lunch.
Choke on it. EDIT: I'm suddenly aggressive about pizza toppings.
I may be an asshole. But at least I don't enjoy Hawaiian pizza.
