"Why can't, I beat him? I even manage to get a card like Vorse Overlord, and I still couldn't pull it off. I'm sorry, father. I guess I'm not good enough," said Vera, feeling her eyes getting teary, as she looked to the ground. "I guess I should give it up," she said, refusing to look up at, The Ice King. "Hey don't feel bad, you probably did better than most of the people here could, I mean you got him all the way down to 300LP, you practically won." cheerfully said, by a boy next to her. "When did he get near me?" she wondered, but it didn't matter. She was too depressed to care. She continued staring at the ground. "Do you need a hug? Granny says hugs always help." continued the boy, trying to cheer her up. "He's right you know hell you did better than I would have done." said the voice of another boy, walking towards her. She finally looked up, in their direction. They were trying to make her feel better, the least she could do was cheer up a little.

She noticed one of the boys was looking directly at, The Ice King. "You know you should try dueling with a little more kindness maybe then you can thaw that frozen heart of yours." said the boy to, The Ice King. Was he trying to defend her, or was that his own words for, The Ice King? She wasn't sure, but she felt a little embarrassed, that they were doing, this much to cheer her up. She stood to her feet, wiping her eyes. "I'm alright, thank you, and you to," she said, thanking both boys, for cheering her up.

After the words from the boy, he never met before, Yuji gave him an intense stare. "What nonsense, is he talking about," he thought, wondering the meaning of the boy's words. Yuji felt an arm go around his shoulders, interrupting his stare down, noticing that it was Jin's. "He means, stop being a grumpy pant, while dueling," said Jin giving, Yuji a friendly smile. "What are you talking about, I'm just Dueling like I always do," responded Yuji. "I wonder when you'll notice what you've become," thought Jin to himself, remembering the past.

"That Duel was awesome! That Vorse Overlord was all like, 'Rawr, I'm invincible!," said the voice of a girl appearing near her. She wondered, where all of these people where coming from. Another person appeared. It seemed as though he was with the girl. "Megumi, I keep telling you that that's not the case. One monster alone won't always grant you victory, the prime example being the Duel that just occurred here. It was careless to leave only one monster on the field without any other defenses, no matter how powerful it was," said the boy following the girl. Vera almost felt depressed, but shook it off. It was her fault for not being more prepared. She then pointed a finger at, The Ice King.

"I won't give up. I'll defeat you one day. The next time will be a flawless victory!" yelled Vera forcing a smile, showing some strength. "Oh hoo, it looks like you may have made more enemies," laughed Jin, tugging at Yuji's neck, with his arm. "That hurts, idiot," responded Yuji, while Jin laughed more. Yuji began walking off towards the park, while Jin followed, while waving goodbye to the others.

Vera watched him go, then turned to the others. "I'm sorry, but who are you guys?" she asked wondering the name of the ones that, brought her courage back to life.

I just realized that I forgot to put the type and attribute of each of the monsters. I'll do that next time. To be honest I didn't expect everyone to take Yuji as a sort of boss-like character. It actually gives me an idea on how to approach it, but I'll say that, all of you, don't have to treat Yuji as though he seems unbeatable, but if you guys want to do it that way for now, I'll make it work that way. So far my idea on Yuji is that (which is obvious so far), he will be a duelist that doesn't see dueling as fun, but as a competition only, but with the interactions of the other characters (my, and everyone's characters), he'll see dueling differently, but that's just going to be character development.

"Battle! Frost Dragon, attack Vorse Raider!" commanded Yuji, wasting no time with his summoned creature. Frost Dragon, set itself in a position with all claws and feet on the ground. "Frost bite hurricane!" yelled The Ice King, as the dragon released a powerful gust of icy cold wind, that completely covered Vorse raider in ice, freezing it solid. After that, the monster then shattered into many pieces after being completely frozen.

Vera: 4000---> 3800

"Is that all you got, Ice King?" asked Vera, clearly taunting him. "She's up to something. She knows my dragon's effect. Either way, I can't just leave it be. I might as well, see what, she's planning," thought Yuji, to himself. "I activate Ice Born Frost Dragon's effect. By using one overlay unit, it can attack again," explained Yugi, as one of the glowing floating ball, disappeared inside of the, Ice Dragon. "Go," Yuji commanded, while point a finger towards Vera. Just like before the dragon positioned himself and blew it's powerful wind towards, Vera. The hit sent Vera flying back a few feet. Vera was able to catch herself, landing on her feet. Jin, whistled and amazed, whistle. "She took quite a bit of there. Will she be alright?" he said, slowly losing interest in the duel already. So far, it was obvious that Yuji had the upper hand ever since the duel started, but just like Yuji, he didn't let his guard down, just because, Vera never won a Duel against Yuji.

Vera: 3800---> 1700

Vera began smirking at, Yuji, while pointing to her face down card. "I activate my trap! Vorse reinforcements, and it activates when I take direct damage. With this trap card, I can special summon a Vorse monster to the field with, attack equal or less to the damage I just took. I special summon Vorse Commander in attack mode," announced Vera, raising a hand in the air, as Vorse Commander, appeared on the field, sword in hand, ready to attack.

Effect: Once per turn, you can special summon a level 4 or lower "Vorse" monster from your deck. If this card attack a defense position monster, the difference between the attack of your monster and the defense of your opponents monster will be dealt as damage to your opponent.

"That was foolish," said Yuji, a little disappointed, while ending his turn. "Continue thinking that, while I stomp you to the ground," said Vera getting excited. Jin began to smile a little. "Well, that was an interesting move. She purposely left herself open, so that she could get a strong monster out on the field. She took a huge gamble by letting herself take so much damage, but I wonder how she will retaliate," he said suddenly intrigued.

"My turn, I draw!" announced Vera, drawing a card, suddenly surprised at the card she just drew. "I can't believe, I drew this card at this exact moment. Yuji saw the look on her face, and noticed that, she drew a good card. "I activate Vorse Commander's effect. I can special summon a monster with Vorse in its name from my deck., so I summon Vorse Raider," she said, while holding a hand out where Vorse Raider, suddenly appeared on the field. She quickly revealed a card to Yuji. " I activate the magic card, Polymerization. I fusion Vorse Raider and Vorse Commander," she said, as both of her monsters began to combine into a single monster. "You've been impatiently waiting, on your barbaric throne, but now's the time, to become the savage!" Fusion Summon! Unleash it all, Vorse Overlord!

Effect: Vorse Commander and 1 "Vorse" monster. This monster cannot be targeted by cards effects. If this card destroys a monster by battle it can attack your opponent directly. If this card attacks your opponent directly, using, it's effect, it can't attack until the end of your next turn.

"That's some good attack points," said Jin, getting even more interested and surprised, with the monster just summoned to the field. "I wonder what it does," he said. "Are you afraid Ice King?" asked Vera, with a devious grin on her face. Yuji was nervous, but it didn't show on his face. Vera got a little upset, for not seeing a reaction. "If you're not afraid, you will be! When Vorse Overlord attacks, you can't aim those face down at him, because he's unaffected by card effects! Go, Vorse Overlord, attack Ice Born Frost Dragon, with Savage Lighting Strike!" she commanded, as Vorse Overlord, rose it's huge axe into the air. Lighting began generating from the blade, then stuck the ground with it, sending a wave of lighting, crashing down on Frost Dragon, completely disintegrating it.

Yuji- 3900--> 3300

"When Ice Born Frost Dragon, is destroyed by battle I can special summon a level 4 or lower Ice born monster from my hand. I special summon Ice Born Golem in defense mode.

Vera's devious smirk grew bigger. "I activate Overlord's, special effect! When it destroys a monster by battle it can attack again," said Vera pointing in Yuji's direction, ordering Vorse Overlord to attack. Vorse Overlord began sprinting towards, Yuji's side of the field. "That's fine by me, destroying my golem will just activate it's effect," thought Yuji, until he noticed that Vorse Overlord ran right past, his golem, and ran straight for him. "What!?" yelled Yuji, as the force of Vorse Overlord, sent him flying about 10 feet away. "Yuji!" yelled Jin, concerned for his friend. It was a close call, but Yuji managed to catch himself in mid air, landing hard on his feet.

Yuji- 3300---> 800

Jin was relieved, to see his friend ok. Sometimes in duels, depending on how strong the monster is, the shockwave from a direct attack can be dangerous, but that's one of the things the academy trains us for, I guess," he said scratching his head. "Oh I forgot to mention, the second attack is a direct one. Vera expected a shocked expression, from The Ice King, but instead got an amused one. Yuji's amused expression, was rare to see. Well, it seems that you have Yuji's full attention now, Hiragi-san. What will you do with it? Yuji's smiling face, took Vera by surprise. She never saw him like this before. "Interesting, very interesting. It's been a while since, I've been put into the danger zone. Now I want to see what you do next," said Yuji. Vera was recognized by, The Ice King. She couldn't believe it. It put a smile on her face. "There's more to come, for now I end my turn.

"Huh?" reacted Yuji, who's face completely changed to, a confused look. "What?" asked Vera, wondering why, his expression changed. Jin made a huge sigh, face palming himself in disappointment. "You finally got him, to look at you in a different light, Hiragi-san, and you ruined it," thought Jin to himself, shaking his head. "What did I do!?" asked Vera completely confused. Yuji's expression, and eyes, went ice cold, his disappointment at an all-time high. "It's not what you did, it's what you didn't do. Look at your field. If you don't understand it by now, then you need to train more. I'm disappointed in you Hiragi Vera, but I will say that you've gotten better, but it's time for you to reflect on this duel.

"Don't act like you're my teacher! You act as though this duel is over!" yelled Vera, confused and angry, at the same time, for being looked down on. Yuji looked into Vera's eyes with a cold stare. "Do you think that just because you have a strong monster on the field that it won't be destroyed?" asked Yuji. "Of course, Vorse Overlord, can't be targeted by card effects, has 2700 attack points. All you have is one monster on the field with nothing compared to mine. Can you really turn this duel around in one turn. Just admit it ,Ice King, you're about to lose.

"Foolish," responded Yuji, looking down at his duel disk. "You'll need to go back to the drawing board if you think that monster alone can stop me. You're a hundred years to early, if you think your way of dueling can actual beat me. I think it's time to put you in your place," said Yuji looking directly at Vera. "Oooh hooo, he's pissed," said Jin, knowing that it's about over for Vera. "My turn!" yelled Yuji drawing, with the force so strong that, he created a slight gust of wind.

"I activate the trap card, Shelter from the storm. With this card I tribute Ice Born Golem, and gain life points equal to its, original attack," announced Yuji, gaining zero life from his tribute monster. "What was the point in that? You got nothing from that, and now you have no monsters," said Vera confused. "Shut up, and pay attention," said Yuji, pointing at his other set card to activate it. Vera was speechless in front of Yuji's wraith "I activate my next trap card, Frostbite Madness, I pay 500 life points, and with that I can special summon up to 2 level 4 or below Ice Born monsters from my graveyard. I can only activate this card if I have no monsters on my field and you do.

Yuji- 800--> 300

Come forth, Ice Born golem, and Ice Born Warrior Zu. Next I summon Ice Born Wolf in attack mode," announced Yuji, as he summoned his three monsters. "That's still not enou-" "I built, Ice born Warrior Zu, and Ice Born golem in the overlay network!" said Yuji interrupting Vera to perform his special summon. Like his previous Xyz summoning, his monster turned to light and entered the galaxy-like vortex, but this time the burst of light was bigger and stronger than the last. " Frozen steel in hand, heart as cold as ice, warmth shuttering in fear of your might, strike them Frozen! XYZ Summon!!! Freeze them all!!! Ice Born Warrior Nordread!!!

Effect: 2 level 4 "Ice Born" monsters. Once per turn you can send 1 overlay to the graveyard, then return a "Ice Born" monster from either your hand or graveyard, to the deck. Until the end phase of the turn this card activated this effect, it gains half of that monster's attack.

Vera got extremely nervous. She has never seen that monster before. "Ha, 2500 attack points? It's still not strong enough to beat Vorse Overlord!" said Vera, trying to play tough, knowing that the Ice King was no amateur. "You're forgetting something very important, special effect. I use an overlay unit, by doing this I discard one Ice Born monster from my hand to my deck, Nordread receives attack and defense equal to half that monster's attack point until the end of my turn," said Yuji revealing Ice Born Falcon (attack:2300), sending it to his deck.

Nordread Attack: 2500--> 3650

"3..3650," said Vera, shocked by the attack point jump. "It's over,Ice Born Warrior Nordread, attack Vorse Overlord, with Chaotic Ice Spears!" Yuji loudly commanded as Nordread unsheathed his enormous, greatsword. With one great swipe, he created, huge ice stakes, that completely pierced several holes in Vorse Overlord, destroying him.

Vera- 1700--> 750

"Finish this! Ice Born Wolf, end this duel and my annoyance," commanded Yuji, as Ice Born Wolf wasted no time in attacking. Vera was sent a few feet back after being tackle by Ice Born Wolf. Vera fell to her knees in defeat.

Vera- 750--> 0

"There you have it," said Jin, approaching Yuji. "I..lost again?" said Vera quietly to herself, depressed, it was the fifteenth lost to the Ice King. She felt blank.

Nope, it's crazy, because that card's effect is almost similar to Yuji's (The Ice King) Ace monster. It's fine by me.

yup, I allow it. After all, we are sort of in an anime, and we're making up cards as well. I'll wait until tomorrow to post the last half of the duel.

How Might I Know A Bad Player?

I feel that it's hard nowadays to find good role players. I took a break from rps so many times, because others would either not write enough, which tells me that they aren't really into the story, or don't know how to get into character, or just plain out unrealistic, even for a fantasy rp. For example, I wrote a plot about you're real self being sent to an anime-like world. Normally I would think, one would panic in a situation that you so suddenly was taken way, or scared in someway, but nope. Even though they are in a new world, they just walk out the door and start enjoying their new lives, completely ignoring the problem at hand.

Jin began looking around, noticing that almost the entire school had eyes on this duel. He knew Yuji's reputation as the Ice King, was well known, but he didn't realize this it was, this big. While looking around he noticed a few faces he knew, but that didn't matter at the moment. He was Yuji's support. He knew that the nickname of the Ice King wasn't a good one. Yuji's personally wasn't a favorite with others. In some of his duels, he's been known to destroy his opponents without remorse, but he knew the truth. He knew, Yuji took his Dueling serious, and never underestimates his opponent, but the school never saw it that way.

"Yuji-kuuun!!! Good luck! I'll be rooting for you!!!" yelled Jin. "I don't need that, coming from you, idiot!" retorted Yuji, shooting Jin, a freaked out look. "Are you done yet?" asked Vera, impatiently waiting for the duel to begin. Yuji faced her, readying his duel disk, while Vera did the same. "Will this be the last duel?" asked Yuji with a serious look on his face. Vera began looking serious as well, knowing that she had to when facing, The Ice King. "It'll never be over until I've beaten you, and prove that I'm the better Duelist," replied Vera. "Duel!" yelled the both of them simultaneously.

"After you, Ice King" said Vera, trying to sound cool, Yuji, however wasn't impressed. Looking at his hand for only a brief second, knew what he needed to do for his first turn. "I summon, Ice Born Warrior Zu in, attack mode," he announded as his warrior made his way to the field. "I activate Zu's effect. When she's summon to the field, I can add a Ice Born monster from, my deck, to my hand," announced Yuji, while adding his monster to his hand, but not before revealing it as, Ice Born Falcon. "I'll set two cards, face down, and end my turn," announced Yuji, making his turn, quick and decisive.

"Pretty Basic turn, but you can't really do much of anything on, first turns, anyway," said Jin, to himself, as he watched on. "My move, DRAW!" announced Vera, drawing a card, from her deck. "With a smirk on her face, she began her turn. "I summon Vorse Raider, in attack mode!" she announced as, her monster, appeared on the field. "Battle! Vorse Raider, go, attack Ice Born Warrior Zu, with salvage axe slash!" Vera's attack was successful, as Vorse Raider managed to destroy, Yuji's monster.

Yuji: 4000--->3900

Vera was a little irritated, that Yuji showed no reaction to his monster getting destroyed. "I set one card, face down, and end my turn," announced Vera, a little on edge, for what's to come, in Yuji's turn. You never know what, The Ice King, will do next, in a duel.

Yuji was focused on his next turn, being mistaken, for not caring about his monster being destroyed. He prepared his hand to draw. "I draw," he announced, as he took another quick look at his hand, seeing a good set up. "I summon, Ice Born Chick in defense mode," he announced as Ice Born Chick was summoned to the field, in a defensive position.

"Next I activate the magic card, Ice Mirror. If I have a level 3 or below water monster on the field, I can special summon a monster from my deck with the same name. Come on out, Ice Born Chick!," announced Yuji loudly, as another Chick, made its' way, in the field. "I think you know what comes next," said Yuji smirking. Vera, knew very well, Yuji's summoning method. She's dueled him so many time that she would never forget.

"I'm going to, build both Ice Born Chicks, in the overlay network," announced Yuji as, both his monster transformed into light, and made their way, in a galaxy-like vortex, that suddenly appeared. A giant burst of light can out of the vortex as, the light began taking form. "With fangs made, with the thickest of ice, feed on your foes, freeze them with fear! XYZ Summon! Freeze them all, Rank 3, Ice Born Frost Dragon!" yelled Yuji, as a burst of wind blew around the arena, which had a bit of a chill to it.
