"This.. was child's play compared to that," Ashlynn said as she was hung off the ground. She then was dropped from the invisible strings and lay on the floor, taking off her helmet. She was irritated, not because Balthazar was some untouchable opponent, but because of his condescending attitude.
Ashlynn clicked her tongue out of irritation. "Pompous fuck", she muttered under her breath.

She established a secure telepathic link between Aphrodite, Jade, and herself. "I'll create an illusion. Afterwards, we'll attack with our all at the same time."

Ashlynn then concentrated hard, crafting the hallucination specifically for Balthazar. Suddenly, a large black circle radiated from Balthazar and grew on the battlefield. The circle then closed, turning into a pitch-black dome. The dome enveloped all the combatants, causing a complete blackout and loss of vision. It opened again and disappeared into the hole from where it came, only for the hole to shrink out of existence. With vision now restored, it seems that there were realistic illusionary copies of the all-girl team (each showing use of their respective 'original's' powers) surrounding Balthazar, scattered across the gym. Who was whom? Surely there was enough time for the girls to switch places and move locations.

"Now!"

The copies then went forth towards the target, some flying and some charging on foot. Ashlynn herself leaped into the air, and as she extended her forearms, generated two thin longswords that grew their way toward Balthazar. As the swords got closer to their target, multiple sword 'branches' grew off of the two main limbs to skewer him multiple ways.
"Fine", Ashlynn said, stepping forward slowly. She created telekinetic armor in all the usual places- shoulders, forearms, shins, knees, elbows, and helmet.

After creating the armor, she created a large pane, only to smash it into palm-sized fragments. With a flick of her wrist, the fragments started to orbit Balthazar, creating what was essentially a hemispherical razor-blade hurricane. With a downward flick of her fingers, the hemisphere shrunk, attempting to slice and crush the imposing instructor.
Ashlynn brushed her back and put on her helmet, approaching forward slowly. In her experience, when someone is that terse, something bad will be coming soon.
Ashlynn held her helmet by her side and groaned slightly. Ugh. I hate waiting.]
Ashlynn dropped her spoon in the bone-dry bowl. "I'm done. Let's go."
Ashlynn laughed slightly at Dark's reaction to Jade's comment. "Looks like someone doesn't want to be considered second best", she teased.
"I have a feeling she's totally cool with us coming in late and night by now," Ashlynn said as she tapped her spoon on the bowl.

"You really don't know the half of it", she muttered (more to herself than Jacob), trailing off as she looked out the window.
Ashlynn shrugged. "A 'detective', I think?", she asked, taking a couple spoonfuls of cereal after.

"So what now? Ivy's kidnapped, and Cancer's in a coma. I'm highly considering the offer to train with Balthazar, because I DO NOT want my ass kicked again and I'm tired of having to wait for the fight to come to us."
Ashlynn looked up at the person who just sat at her table. Jade.

"Hey. Liked that trick from last night."
