RC-1290: The demolitions expert, nicknamed Jair by Siv, meaning “scream” or “shriek."
Physical Description:
Castle Squad ArmorCastle Squad wear identical armor designs, differentiated only by markings on their helmet, shoulder, and breastplate. Verco bears three blue circles in a triangle, while Kyramud and Jair have two and one, respectively. Siv, technically the squad leader, has four blue circles sewn onto her robes.
Mental Description: Castle's strength lies in the close bond held between the squad members, with Siv at the center holding everyone together. Each squad member understands their own strengths and Verco is able to utilize these strengths in an almost symbiotic relationship among the squad members. However, the commandos take loss very hard, having lost one of their own on Geonosis.
History: Castle Squad had a rough insertion onto Geonosis as the gunship they were rappelling from took a missile halfway down. The four soldiers made it to the ground with minimal injury and proceeded on foot to their first objective: take control of a key cliffside bunker that was decisive for the army’s control of the sector.
As clone troopers began to man the bunker and turn the battle against the CIS, Castle exfiltrated the bunker via gunship. On their way to a CIS staging area which they were tasked to destroy, their gunship was once again blown out of the sky and crashed before making any progress.
44, 12, and 90 survived the crash, but the fourth member of Castle Squad, RC-1172, did not. Siv pulled the survivors from the wreckage, tending to their wounds and helping them reorganize following the crash. She accompanied Castle Squad as they advanced towards the staging area and successfully destroyed CIS presence there, then ordered Castle Squad to pull back to the Republic line and assist with the front line battle.
Following Geonosis, Castle Squad was assigned to Siv’s command. She gave each of the commandos a Mando’a nickname. 44 was given the name Verco, as Siv felt that hope was the one thing that he needed in order to successfully lead the squad after the shock of the battle on Geonosis. Kyramud, 12, was named not only for his role in the squad, but also for his often biting and aggressive personality. Finally, Siv named 90 Jair for his tendency to scream when blowing things up.
With Siv supporting the now three-man squad, Castle Squad proved to be extremely efficient at minimal impact missions, where leaving no traces was just as important as completing the objective. However, Castle also excelled at supporting front lines troops, often by destroying or capturing key locations on the battlefield and effectively turning the tide of the battle completely.
