Name: Alexa Pearce

Gender: Female

Age: 34

Appearance:

Class: Adept

Biography: Born on Omega, Alexa was raised by a single, abusive father. The first decade of her life is marred by relentless beatings and psychologically damaging verbal abuse. Her father would often come home high or drunk, wasting his money away at bars or on drugs. When Alexa turned 13, her father essentially began selling her to make a living. For three years, she was a slave to the highest bidder, completely subjected to the will of whoever paid her father the most.

At some point, Alexa found herself sold to members of the Eclipse, who recognized her inert biotic ability and began training her as a biotic assassin. They took advantage of her fragile mental state, a result of her horrific upbringing. Alexa’s biotic talents were honed by the strongest asari biotics, and she was given firearms training by Eclipse kill squads. Her physical training was geared towards flexibility and agility, rather than outright strength.

Her work began when she was 23. As an assassin, Alexa was typically hired out for high-profile, gruesome kills, often only attainable by a biotic show of force. As this style went against the Eclipse’s typical modus operandi, Alexa was an unofficial member of the Eclipse: she wasn’t allowed to publicly align with them, but received all the benefits of being Eclipse.

After several years of working with the Eclipse, Alexa eventually decided to go independent at 26. She cut ties with the Eclipse, disappearing completely for a year in order to evade their wrath. When she resurfaced, Alexa had to redevelop her reputation from scratch, as her entire career had been totally dependent on the support of the Eclipse.

She based her solo operations out of Omega. Many of her initial contracts were involved in small-time gang warfare. By the time she was 28, Alexa’s high-profile style of killing attracted the attention of all the big players on Omega: the Suns, the Eclipse, the Blood Pack, and even Aria herself. Alexa found herself being forced to align once more with one of the major organizations, or face the wrath of just about anyone and everyone she had pissed off on her way to success.

In the interest of self-preservation, Alexa signed up with Aria. It was the most logical step. She wanted to live peacefully on Omega, so she began working for Omega’s Queen herself. Her work shifted slightly from assassination to intimidation. Alexa worked directly for Aria during this time, earning a reputation on Omega as “Aria’s Fist.”

Upon receiving the invite from the enigmatic “Client,” as he or she went by, Alexa immediately consulted with Aria. Intrigued by the invitation, as well as the exorbitant advance payment, Aria allowed Alexa to accept the job offer, though Alexa remains completely loyal to Omega and, most importantly, Aria.

Notable Achievements: Directly involved in a series of killings over the past eleven years, enjoying around a 90% success rate with little unnecessary collateral damage.

Alexa’s work for Eclipse was often political in nature, and had heavy repercussions and consequences. Her assassinations during this time often had a direct influence on the balance of power in the Terminus Systems.

Her independent work was entirely based on Omega. These killings ranged from small time gang warfare to direct blows between the major mercenary groups. This attracted much unwanted attention and forced Alexa to align with Aria T’Loak.

The killings for Aria cemented Aria’s dominance on Omega. Similar to her work for Eclipse, but intensely focused on the balance of power in Aria’s favor on Omega, rather than the Terminus Systems as a whole.

Equipment: Kassa Model 12 Locust with an attached scope for longer ranged firefights, and two M-6 Carnifex Hand Cannons for close quarters in case her biotics fail her.

Personality: Alexa is often cold and impersonal, refusing to maintain or develop personal relationships with people unless out of necessity. Although she doesn’t play well with others, Alexa is still an effective team player and understands the meaning of co-operation, but her aloofness often gives off the impression that she doesn’t really care about much beyond herself.

However, her lack of personal connection does not mean she is morally or emotionally skewed. Alexa has full understanding of the difference between right and wrong, and is still able to feel remorseful over her actions. In other words, although her social skills need a lot of work, Alexa fully understands the lasting impact of her actions, morally and emotionally.
I should have a CS up by tomorrow I think.
if there's an open slot, I'd like to fill it, if that's alright?
"What're you listening to this time?" a familiar voice asked Alysia. With a loud thud, a woman sat down in the chair across the table. Without even looking, Alysia knew exactly who it was. Nobody else had the gall for so dramatic an arrival. Alysia smirked, taking her headphones off and setting them on the table. She didn't bother pausing the music.

"Say Anything. Nice to see you too, Sarah," Alysia almost whispered, referring to her friend by her "human" name, of sorts. Her real name was Ciaris, but it was generally agreed that they don't use their real names while wearing their façades. Leading two separate lives like Shades did made things complicated like that. "What're you up to today? Not causing too much trouble, I hope," Alysia grinned, tossing her cigarette butt aside. She shifted in her chair slightly as she lit a new one.

Sarah grimaced at the cigarette. "I thought I told you to kick that habit. It's gross and people don't like that," Sarah scoffed. Alysia simply shrugged in response. "Your call. I'm not actually doing anything too important. I was just passing by and thought I'd say hello."

Alysia tilted her head accusingly. "You knew I'd be here?"

"Alissa, honey, at this time of the day, you're either here or you're at home. And I already checked your apartment," Sarah laughed. "I was actually on my way to meet somebody."

Alysia rolled her eyes. Ciaris was always on her way to meet somebody. "Really now. Name?" Alysia grinned. The interrogation begins. The only question was how long it would take Ciaris to turn the interrogation back on Alysia.

"His name is Jason."

"Age?"

"Irrelevant."

"When'd you meet him?"

"Four days ago. When are you going to meet someone?"

Alysia sighed. There it was. Exactly on cue. "You know I'm picky when it comes to these things, Sarah. Why are you always trying to rush me into things with people?" Alysia had a brief flashback to the last two dates Ciaris had tried to set up for her. The first was a college student, male, who was so full of himself he actually tried to kiss Alysia on first sight, and the second was a woman in her thirties who still acted like a fifteen year old. Alysia shuddered.

"Alissa. When was the last time you actually dated somebody?" Sarah leaned forward, resting her arms on the table. Alysia leaned back, as if trying to run away from the question.

"Probably about a year ago," Alysia sighed. "I'm just not interested in anybody, right now."

Sarah chuckled. "If I know you, and I do, I think it's safe to say that you haven't even been looking, dear. Did you call back that guy that gave you his number last time I met you here?"

Alysia didn't answer her question. To tell the truth, she had tried to call him, but hung up the phone as soon as he answered.

Now it was Ciaris' turn to sigh. She stood up from the table, moving to give Alysia a hug. "Well, I need to get going. Please meet somebody, okay? You're a lot more fun when you have someone in your life." At that, Ciaris walked off, leaving Alysia alone at the table again.

Alysia closed her laptop, letting Ciaris' words sink in as she took another breath of the cigarette.

Markus unlocked the door to his apartment, dropping his things next to the doorway as he stepped inside. His apartment was messy and unorganized, but it wasn't like he had a roommate to worry about. He maneuvered his way through the apartment to his refrigerator, taking a can of soda from within. It was too early in the day for alcohol, but Markus needed the refreshment.

Markus popped open the soda, maneuvering his way to the patio overlooking the streets below. His apartment was only on the third floor of a five story building, but the patio had a nice enough view. It gave Markus a nice place to get a breath of fresh air without having to leave his apartment. He took off his shirt, setting it on the railing of the patio, leaving Markus in his jeans and a white tank. He'd be absolutely embarrassed to be spotted wearing a tank, but in the privacy of his apartment, Markus didn't really care. He sat down on the lone chair on the patio, taking a sip of his soda.
I should have a CS up tonight.
you've got my interest!

I can do that with Banba, but I'm not sure if hayley is even online o.o it looks like she hasn't been here for a few days now. I'm not completely sure though..

yeah, I just noticed that... :/
"Coriana Alaros. Pleased to meet you," Coriana said with a nod. "It seems the other three members of our party have begun celebrating before working. The dwarves, I'm not so worried about. The elf..." Coriana drifted off, grimacing slightly. It was by nature that dwarves were angry and drunk. An inebriated dwarf was, in some places, more normal than a sober one. However, a drunk elf could cause much more problems than he or she was worth. Well, a drunk anything could cause more problems than they were worth.

"Perhaps we should gather our friends and allow everyone to sober up, yes? We'd be much more productive that way. Arent, Raoul, if you two could collect the dwarves? I will handle the elf." It was as much a suggestion as it was a command. Not that Coriana's patience was wearing thin; she simply believed that the priority should not be drinking and destroying the village they needed to protect. Coriana bowed slightly and walked around the two humans towards the tavern, regretting her decision with every step. She had had unpleasant experiences with drunk elves. This would likely be no different.

Coriana gripped her staff tightly, wary of any potential threats the three might pose in their drunkenness. She didn't intend to harm them, obviously; she only meant to defend herself if things got too close for comfort.

Just a quick update after 4 days of silence: The IC opening is being worked on now. And while it may not be finished on the exact deadline Nariata gave, it should be up relatively soon =)

great!
