is it possible to get a really brief description of the other four nations, if it's not a problem?
definitely interested!
Alexa rolled her eyes right back at Kali. "Gosh, Mom, I'll keep that in mind next time. I guess I just got a little too excited when Michael mentioned that he's a crime fighter," Alexa said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. Killing Michael was literally her job. He'd understand.

Alexa followed suit, pulling up her own omni-tool. It was most likely that her needs would be put on the backburner compared to the rest of Aria's interests, but it didn't hurt to send out an intel request. She sent the message and closed her omni-tool. "I've sent a request to Omega. Someone there will know something, but they probably won't fill us in for a few more hours. Aria will be interested in our mission, but I doubt she'll devote any unnecessary resources to it." Alexa slowly paced around the room while Michael spoke. This stuff might have been important, but it was boring. Hell, was it boring.

"Yarsin Pizora. Great. We'll talk to him first, and hopefully by the time we're done someone on Omega will respond to my request." Alexa stopped moving. She scowled, as a thought crossed her mind. "What do we know about Pizora? Who's he working for, what's his end goal, et cetera. And how trustworthy is he? He might be one of your contacts, but now he has connections to what's apparently the biggest underworld organization in the galaxy." Alexa might as well have been interrogating Michael, but they were necessary questions.

"Look, these guys are the real deal. If someone was after Aria, we'd have people covering every open end in the galaxy. I think it's safe to say that these Puppetmasters will take that extreme even further. If we're going to walk into an ambush, I want to be able to expect the ambush. It's easier to retaliate, that way."
I think Zero mentioned after ME2 but before ME3.
Well, he wasn't totally useless. Alexa couldn't decide if that was a relief or an annoyance. At least a few dots were connecting; someone had been cleaning up any messes that Aria's people left behind throughout the Terminus. It had never been troublesome enough for Aria to do anything about it, but now that the problem was right in front of her. "I should tell you that as soon as this mission is done, I'm going to be obligated to kill you. You know how it is. But Aria made very clear to me that my primary objective right now is this mission, so your death gets to be postponed. So look forward to that," Alexa smiled darkly at Ghost.

Alexa refocused. "Well, now that we're all introduced, what's our first step? As much as I hate to say it, you two are probably better at this recon thing than I am. I wasn't trained for the long game like this." Alexa crossed her arms. She took stock of what they had in front of them. A lot of money, three mercs - well, two mercs and this guy who really wanted to be a merc - and absolutely zero intel. Not a good combination of resources. "Right about now, the only thing I'd be useful for is killing something or finding out if anyone on Omega knows anything about these 'Puppetmasters,'" Alexa had to scoff at that. The Puppetmasters. How utterly pretentious could you get?
(oops! sorry!)
Alexa frowned. Take down four elusive powerhouses in the criminal underworld? Alexa could list of dozens of reasons why she knew firsthand that that was an impossible task. She shook her head. Aria would approve of the task for sure if the Puppetmasters were what the Client suggested they were. Alexa's mind wandered briefly to when she'd be able to contact Omega and report to Aria. Then she refocused. There was a job at hand, and Alexa had every intent on accomplishing her new goal.

She still couldn't get over just how daunting the task seemed. The Client said that these people had their fingers in just about everything. That was big. Hell, that was probably bigger than Aria, and Alexa thought Aria was the biggest fish in the pond. Whoever these people were, it'd take a hell of a lot to bring them down, let alone find them. Alexa shuddered. This kind of vigilantism and the recon work that went along with wasn't exactly what she was trained for. She was a hitman, an assassin, a killer.

"Okay. So we've got our objective. We're still left in the dark, though. Ghost. Or is it Michael?" Alexa turned towards the helmeted one in the corner. The helmeted one. She liked that nickname for him. Better than Ghost. "I think it's about time you tell us who you are, and what the fuck you're good for. Pretty clear you're hiding some shit, so you might as well come clean with us before I rip it out of you," Alexa threatened. She didn't exactly like hearing that this guy was a shadow, or whatever the Client had called him. If there was someone more qualified than Ghost that could've been in the room instead of him, Alexa would've taken that swap in a heartbeat.
okay thanks! sorry if i ruined the plot development you had going on x( thank you though!
if the Puppetmasters have a hand in all criminal activity everywhere, what motivation is there to stop them for someone like Alexa who literally works for the Pirate Queen? the way I've written her at this point, Alexa wouldn't take part in this operation if she didn't see a clear way to benefit Aria. the mission is good for the most part, but it feels like there's a conflict of interest between the Client and Alexa.

sorry if I'm being problematic! I just can't see a way that Alexa wouldn't walk away from this mission and run home to Aria. I kinda rambled up there so I'll just list out the questions/issues I'm seeing:

who are the Puppetmasters? from what I understand, the Client wants to stop them in order to halt illegal activity throughout the galaxy.
if that is his motivation, why hire someone like Alexa, whose only motivation is Aria's benefit?
oh hey someone new! perfect! :D

pretty sure Zero was looking for someone to sign up, so I think you're good to go!
