Bio

I am a Roleplayer with an interest in science fiction and fantasy, with a preference for Casual. I have been roleplaying for several years, and have even taken a stab at running a few RPs.

Outside the Guild, I am an Australian science student, gamer, musician and roleplayer (that's right, IRL too).

As funny as this is meme war, I have another question. If cores are expensive, and have to be replaced frequently, then where does that put the running costs of a shuttle or carriage, especially if they're powered by kinetic cores? If that makes them expensive to travel on, how do poorer people get around?

Since cores have to be mined, that makes them a finite resource like coal. I can imagine that you could set another RP in this world when the cores have almost run out, and a technology to restore power to cores without using cores is yet to be invented.

I have a question: how are core-based technologies, such as carriages, powered? Do they run solely on the internal energy of the core? Or do they run on other forms of energy (electricity, internal combustion, etc.)? If the cores provide the power, and the cores have finite power, then are the cores like disposable batteries or rechargeable fuel cells?
Additionally, how accessible are core-based technologies? Are they used in common household appliances? Or are core technologies more expensive and are thus generally not found in residential use?

I am interested in joining this RP. A CS may take a little while, but I'll have one eventually.
I've been waiting earnestly to return to roleplaying here. It is a shame that everything has been lost, but in the end it is just games and we can start again. My name has not changed from last time. I co-GMed (with Element) Dungeon Keepers and participated in Apocalypse World: Wolves of the Maelstrom and The Scrapyard.

I hope to enjoy doing some good roleplaying with you all, and seeing this forum develop.
