My internet is out! It may be a few days before I can post again.
Four months ago, the city of Del received startling news. From the mountains in the north came a barbaric breed of cyclops. Hardened from years in the harsh mountains, these creatures came back to the flat lands with a taste for human blood.
At first, the mountain villages assumed they could overcome the threat. However, the beasts displayed a level of intelligence that allowed them to think strategically, and also displayed the ability to communicate. The cyclops seem to be following a leader, though what their motive – besides killing – remains unknown.
The herd of cyclops is slowly creeping towards the center of the region. People are panicking, and they look to the king for a solution. And so, King Ruth looked to the Academy of Dragon Riders.
Many Riders have already been sent to the front lines to provide defense for the royal army. That leaves a handful of trainees and their young dragons at the Academy. After an evaluation, a few highly-skilled trainees have been selected to go on a quest for a magical device called the Krystal. Although they aren't even really sure what it does, the Riders have been instructed to find a wizard named Garth. Garth and the Krystal can apparently provide a solution to the kingdom's current epidemic. With nothing else to go on, the Academy Trainees set out for the Kilo Forest with their dragons, in hope of locating the wizard who can save their country.
----------Rules
+ Although this is a fantasy RP, powers are not permitted.
+ Characters do not need to be human.
+ A player may have multiple characters, but only one of them can be a Rider.
+ There will be no power-playing or god-modding.
+ There is zero tolerance for OCC arguments.

Our characters will have already departed the Academy and the City of Del. They are a day into the journey and are currently traveling across the vast grass fields around Del. No one has gotten to know each other very well, but they've already spent over a year in the Academy together, therefore they've met and learned each others names.

I'd be interested if I can play a riderless dragon.
You may play a riderless dragon, with the understanding that your character could not be directly associated with the quest. We're still working out our plot line, so this might change, but so far, the riders are supposed to be trainees that the king is sending out as a sort of last resort. Right now, I just don't think you'd stay interested if you played only a dragon.
Sweet, welcome aboard. I'm working on the OCC. Perhaps we will generate more interest there.

Different races, sure. I'm not completely convinced powers/special abilities would be a great idea (I mean, they've already got dragons), but I will discus it with my co-GM.

Putting together a little bit of a plot. I'm kind of scatter brained at the moment, and I'm working on pulling some ideas out of my butt. Completely open to new ideas.

I was thinking of doing a medieval war/fantasy RP. It will be a quest-themed RP. The kingdom is facing an epidemic - from the mountains in the far north, a barbaric species of cyclops never before seen migrated into our region, with an appetite for human blood. As the hoard of cyclops slowly journeys through the kingdom, towards the city of Del, they wipe out small villages in their wake.
The king decides to send out a group of recently.... acquired, dragon riders to seek a device know as the Krystal. Although not entirely sure what it does, the riders were told to seek a wizard named Garth and that he would tell them how to use it against the cyclops.
