So wait, I have a question.....having never done a nation RP before, what’s the plot or structure of this exactly? Like...do I just write about the affairs and happenings of my nation whether they are relevant to anyone else or not? Or is there going to be something that brings us together? Like do representatives of each nation come together for some reason? Or.....idk. I have no idea how this works.

Definitely nothing along the lines of super powers or anything. By tweaking I mean things like:
Having a fictional nation that doesn’t actually exist (ex: Wakanda)
Cutting edge tech that’s maybe just a liiiiittle more than what we have now, but still somewhat believable.
Stuff like that.

Desert elves for me!
I do like me some post apocalyptic stuff, and some good fantasy. I'm not one for pure straight modern--I like modern in a way that like, things can be added. You know, alternate universes, slightly futuristic, or some suspension of disbelief for some little elements here an there, but I'm not a pure slice of life person. But like, modern with a wee twist is good.

I’m thinking instead of being fairy-like in the Woods, my elves will be desert dwellers, their nation nestled between the coast and the mountains, and between their settlements is the Dust Sea, a vast expanse of dust and rock that tests the survival skill of all who venture there, and also holds many mysteries.
They are a fierce warrior type people, ruled by a matriarch. They keep themselves relatively excluded except towards the coast, where they are a hub for trade and are known for exporting silver. Azurei, it’s called. And it’s an unforgiving place to live, so it’s people are hardy and strong.
People still down to do this?
