What? lol sorry you must of posted right before I did, that was directed at the post before yours.
Not true, war dives economy because of increased production and more jobs. The cold war acctully bad for our economy because it wasn't an open war.
Ahh dude, they were put in the game bacause they are real...it's all stuff for the future soldier program that was started about about 8 years ago in response to Iraq. Before that it was the cold war the drove tech, if we went from the cold war right into a third world war(Like what this RP is about) we would have better tech then that. I'm military dude...I know a lot about this stuff cause I've seen a lot of it.

Please show me evidence of this, and I will let you have the goggles. I have never, ever, heard or seen any evidence or proof that NVG's could be made this small or sleek. Quite frankly, I wasn't really looking for a discussion - I want you to change them to regular NVG's, or take them off of your character sheet. I don't like them, and they don't fit the feel or mood I'm looking for in game world. Not a problem at all - you've let me know, so it's no problem. I won't be pushing things to move too quickly anyway, so it's not likely you'll miss too much.

BAE has this

Another prototype this is acctully in use right now as well .

You know those cool eye pieces in the modern warfare games...those are real as well btw XD and so are the rods of god(I think that is what they are called in the game) was a project initiated during the cold war, it was only shut down cause the cold war ended. But they would of worked as they did in the games...that is the real scary thing.

Again war drives technology, we would have improved versions of these by now if we were in a third world war.
Sounds like fun i'm in! So I do have to ask since all of our characters were in the same class they would all know eachother?
So I am assuming we would be acting on a sort of independent of each other but teams are formed to better accomplish objectives.
sooo how is everybody

:-Blackwolf, your character is fine, but I'll ask that you change the goggles you've listed and pictured to actual NVG's, as I have a personal annoyance with Night-Vision devices in movies being shown as, essentially, swimming or dust-goggles that allow you to magically see in the dark xP This game isn't set into the future or with tech so advanced that NVG's would've shrunk that much, so you're still relying on goggles like the modern-day ones. Make that edit, and he's good to go

>.> ummm we have technology now days that can make NV that small....it's just to expensive to put into production. And war drives technology so the reason right now it's so expensive is just cause it's not really a focus...but if we were in a third world war tech like that would be more focused on so it would be cheaper and more readily mass produced so everyone would have them, but at the very least spec ops would. You have to remember, WW1 and WW2 gave us the biggest leaps in technology up until those points. A lot of what we have today were by products of war. So if there was a thrid world war chances are we would be more advanced now then we are.
How is everyone today?
As Adrian walked away he stopped at the sounds of someone climbing down the side of the building and then asking about him after introducing him self as Da Phoenix, since he couldn't see them he assumed he was some kind of inner city kid. Standing out of sight around the corner he leaned against the wall crossing his arms across his chest and "listened", Though he couldn't truly hear anything he more felt the sound then heard it. It was mostly introductions for now, but more then just what they where saying he "listened" to how. The slightly out of shape male introduced himself as conduit, the slight fluxiation of his voice and the slightly elevated heart beat told that he was a little nervous or uneasy. The girl, this Alice, was the most interesting to be honest. Her voice was stable as she was rather straight forward, but it was her heart that was most interesting, considering it wasn't human. He could easily "hear" that it wasn't the same as a humans. Next came Da phonix, also relatively straight forward with a steady heart beat.

Sitting there he glanced about that fence around the quarantine zone as conduit talked about it. "Heroes" always rushing in to their deaths, he found it nonsensical. Things like the quarantine were not his problem. From what he saw on the news the mutated were little more then brainless husk who just shambled around barely aware of anything around them. They weren't a threat, the military could easily gun them down if they tried to leave the quarantine zone, and though he didn't know much about radiation, he knew enough to know that any "survivors" were only living on borrowed time as that amount of radiation was sure to kill them. Even if they left the area now the damage had already been done.

He had "heard" enough of this so he pushed off the wall and resumed walking to finish up his errands for the day. Shoving his hands back into his pocket he should of grabbed his coat while he was at his apartment, mostly because the hood would of hidden his face from the "heroes", but he hoped he was far enough away that thy didn't get a good look at him, and also hoped that they ignored the girls advice to simply catch up to him and ask him who he is.
