She was torn at the tale told. Pity for the paladin put in such a situation and slight confusion and revulsion at his choices warred within her. She could understand mercy killing, even think of some situations where it was the best or even only choice. This was not one of them. "Was there no way for them to escape? Stand any chance of survival at all? How could it be that killing them as a necromancer attacked was the best option? How could hastening her likely goal be the best option?" She asked, hoping against hope that there was more to this than simple slaughter in a desperate situation. That perhaps it had been the only way to spare them a slow and painful death before the inevitable occurred.
@Cyan: No problem. Now all that needs to happen is have the undead paladin not go with. "No, I'm OK being a zombie to be honest. I kind of like battling for my soul against a constant hunger."
@Cyan: figured I'd at least try and give our undead warrior a chance to prove things to the others.
Eranah said a brief prayer that all would go well, but as he went on her hope sunk slightly. The mention of hunger was nor exactly comforting, nor the mention of how he could have killed them already. However she wasn't about to write the man off. "While those last two things aren't the most comforting, you are being honest. It should count for something. Perhaps we might be able to find a way to aid your condition." She offered, wanting to at least help prove he wasn't an immediate danger.
"His energies while disquieting certainly, should not automatically mark him for death. Should he become a threat, we will do as we must to protect the people. So far he has shown no signs of being a threat, while that does not place him above a watchful eye, it should stay our blades for the time being." Eranah gave her council, while she had been able to place the source of her troubled feeling as it looked her right in the eye it had not reacted as one would expect of a mindless undead killing machine. It had laughed and simply brushed it off. Nothing in her training or experience had prepared her for such a reaction. "In fact, the creature has been nothing but friendly if apprehensive. It has not reacted as any undead I have seen or heard of before. There may even be hope we could find a way to at the very least halt any deterioration of its condition."
Eranah had gained safe passage for a modest fee, she had gravitated towards a ship with a sick crew member. In exchange for healing the man she had secured the trip for little more than the costs the crew would incur taking her across. She had done her work kindly and diligently, even helping some of the other crew members with various problems. Otherwise the trip was uneventful and she eventually stepped off. The land was actually rather lovely she found, with a few people already at the location speaking with who she assumed to be the one who had arranged all of this. Wearing very finely decorated chainmail armor she stepped off the boat with the grace expected of a Deva. She very calmly walked over to the one she assumed to be Korick. She was comforted somewhat by the presence of one who exuded an aura of light and good much as Eranah herself did. At least she was not the only creature here in service to the gods. "Ilmater has heard your request. I am here as his representative. You may call me Eranah." She said simply to the one she assumed to be Korik with a bow of her head. She however got a very unsettled feeling from something else nearby. It was a feeling she often got when confronting demons or the undead, however so far she could not place exactly where it was coming from. She was somewhat dismayed from the feeling actually. A feeling of death of and great pain was setting in.
Gar had actually managed to get somewhat lucky, it appeared there was a master by the name of Drell in earshot. He followed the sound of battle now, eventually meeting with the group in combat, running a trooper through from behind before defensively moving towards the master. "Master. Sentinel Vookta at your service." He said quickly, figuring the niceties would be best left for later. Right now it seemed they would have to fight in order to actually manage to get out of here. "My master has fallen, I fear the majority of the Sentinels are the same. I know much of the layout of this building should you have use of it." He informed him of what he knew quickly. Seeing if the master might have a plan where he could be of use.
Character Sheet: Name: Eranah Gender: Female Age: While appearing to be about 24, she has lived innumerable lifetimes and has simply ceased counting the years she has actually existed. Race: Deva Class: Cleric Abilities: The area where she most excels is healing and aiding others. The gifts granted to her by The One Who Endures encompass both his boundless compassion and fiery wrath. With magic to heal and buff others while also having spells at her disposal which would tear enemies asunder or make them more open to the attacks of others for the pain and suffering they have brought to this world. She is also incredibly intelligent and wise, excelling at understanding even the most difficult concepts of scholasticism due in large part to her effective immortality. In order to better connect with her god she has also learned the arts of diplomacy and empathy with all living things. Learning how to use a kind word and open arms to heal the wounds which rest below the surface. Alignment: Lawful Good (In this case the law being followed is not that of the world but instead of The Lord on the Rack Ilmater) Appearance: Standing tall at 6'3" and thin at 165 lbs she is by no means outside the norm of her species. White lines for intricate symbols across the entirety of her body, her sking blue with eyes of pure white. Despite these features many humans would consider her very beautiful as would be expected of a Deva. Her hair kept at a medium length it's color pure white to match the symbols covering her body. Personality: She is kind and generous to a fault. Keeping only those positions required to aid her in her mission. Her duty and honor is to live up to the ideals of The Crying God. To aid those who are in need and punish those who bring great suffering upon others. It is this which defines her and works for the time she has been "alive". Every action and word carefully chosen to further the alleviation of suffering from those who bring it upon others. She also shares many traits that exist among the Deva, enjoying the creation of art and following the angelic motiffs of said art. Inventory: Aside from the standard Adventuring kit she keeps only chainmail armor for her own defense and the symbol of Ilmater (the white hands bound with a blood red cord). Knowing the power of Ilmater can carry her through even the worst of troubles. She also keeps some supplies for drawing including paper and writing/drawing implements. All of her clothes are fine clothing, looking much nicer than the standard clothes expected of an adventurer. She wishes to be presentable at all times and takes great care to maintain cleanliness. History: She has spent most of her time on this plane as a wandering healer and priest. Doing all she can to aid the sick, dying, poor, and oppressed. Her works are numerous but often small, healing a farmer, providing gold to the poor, sharing food with the hungry, and on occasion freeing slaves from their cruel masters. She also has been known to provide counseling to humans and aid to wounded animals. The only people she will attack are those who would harm others, and even then she knows to stay her hand from needless slaughter. It is often hard for her to focus on the world around her in cities as the amount of suffering can become unbearable, driving her to need others around her to keep her from simply moving from person to person in order to render aid. She can give the appearance of being unfocused and cryptic in some of the things she says, all she aims to do though is help.
Yutaka had to put his head in his hands at the ideas that were being presented, especially the one that amounted to little more than smashing their way in. _These people are going to get me killed._ He thought as he decided to actually move out of their hiding spot to one farther away when the inevitable likely happened. He needed to find something he could hack into, perhaps the robots might work, at the very least they could provide a halfway decent distraction when they got caught. In fact he had an idea, if it all went to hell, he could implant code that would identify the Future Industries security badge as a shipping label to random destinations. If he did it right, he could spread the instructions out enough it would seem like poor coding lead to a bug. Lord knows future industries had enough terrible programmers it could happen. However before he thought to even see if that plan was likely he would try to dissuade his compatriots. "You do know that this place would likely be secured against a tunnel. Do you lot have any idea just how hard this information was to come by? We aren't going into some old mine shaft, this facility is pulling enough power to blow up a decent sized town if it overloaded." He hoped the point got across at least.
"My people received their orders before I left." Cassandra replied, stepping out of the lift and immediately taking stock of the situation. "Alright, now where is the threat to the safety of my charge?" She asked, already doing the best she could to scan for signs of anything that might give them a hint as to where the bomb might be. Her heavy blaster was ready and she took a position where if the Jedi tried something she would have plenty of time to react. "As for my trust of you, that's not a job requirement kid. You don't become a commando by trusting people. You say you have intel that, if ignored, could lead to the death of my VIP. My duty is to investigate your claims, and make sure to cover my tracks well enough that an incident doesn't occur if you or anyone else tries anything."
