Droplets of sweat spilled down Allet Schal’s face as she continued trekking toward the small village of Avveel. She could hardly feel her legs after walking such a long distance. Part of her bags were already starting to drag. She'd have to work on getting into shape if she wanted to make this work. Clutching her medicine bag, she reminded herself why she was here.

Allet kept her focus on the familiar view ahead as a smile warmed her face. From the mighty waterfall to her south to the never ending mountains surrounding the village, it always left her speechless. She could still remember the first time her parents brought her here. It had been one of the one more memorable moments in her childhood. She wondered what Tuáhtár was working on at the moment. Perhaps she’d get a chance to visit her, it had been several years since they last saw each other. What would she think of Allet’s sudden choice to assist the King?

Taking a deep breath, Allet turned her attention to the group around her. She still wasn’t quite sure what she thought of them, or what they thought of her. The Elf named Sylvaine was a bit intimidating, but Allet felt strangely safe around her and edged near her as they walked. She seemed the most experienced amongst the group, especially considering the number of weapons she carried. As they walked, she broke the silence and asked, “Do you really need three daggers? And what are those longer swords called?” Allet had little to no experience with swords, she always found it boring as a child.

Alfaru, the Half-Elf, walked behind her and Sylvaine. Allet had no idea what kind of person he was, only that he preferred magic like her. He even had experience in healing magic which Allet hoped to learn more about. All of her healing abilities resulted in herbs and medicine only. The other human, Numair, was an Eldritch knight and Allet couldn’t help but be scared of him. He seemed really stern and it felt like he wouldn’t hesitate to kill her in her sleep. Despite herself, she shivered at the thought.

Ahh I'm first! I'll try my best to respond as quickly as possible! I'm excited for this to start!

Race: Human

Personality::
Allet has always been a curious child, always asking questions and trying to learn as much as she could. It’s the reason she was so talented in the study of medicine. She rarely gave up until she found what she was looking for. It often drove her parents mad. One question she always yearned to know was how the world outside her village looked like. She had a wild imagination and often grew lost in her own thoughts. Her parents rarely travelled and they only left her village when visiting her mother’s cousin Tuáhtár Apteek, an apothecary in the small town of Avveel. It was only every few years, but they became exciting and fond memories for her.

After the incident when Allet was twelve, she desperately tried holding on to her old life. She could still be the bubbly and cheerful girl her parents had raised. Try as she might, little thoughts continued to gnaw at the back of her head. What would happen if she forgot her medicine? What if next time, someone got hurt? Allet could never forgive herself. Everything about her past life had changed, there was no point denying it. She began keeping people at a distance, never sharing too much or letting them grow close. Keeping her secret became an exhausting endeavor, and soon she stopped trying making friends altogether. It was easier and safer that way, at least that’s what she told herself every day. All of Allet's focus turned to proving to both her parents and the world she was good. Nothing could never change that… right?

Appearance:
Fair skinned and hourglass shaped body, Allet has often been described as lovely. She has straight, light chestnut hair with bangs that reach past her chin. Whenever working, she tends to pull her hair into a bun. Otherwise, she keeps it simple and leaves it down. There’s never enough time to dedicate to her appearance. Allet’s favorite feature is her almond shaped eyes that are dark brown, often appearing black in the night.

Allet typically prefers to wear trousers and breathable blouses, but is often stuck in skirts and dresses to appease her parents. She carries with her a kit full of herbs and mixtures in case of emergencies, as well as extra doses of her calming herbal mixture.

Class:
Allet is training to become an apothecary. From a young age, her mother has helped train her. Whenever near nature, Allet feels the most at peace and relaxed. She also has a great affinity toward magic, particularly soil and water. Allet’s father guided her in learning these magic abilities but she still struggles with control. Physically, Allet is very weak and clumsy. Swords and weapons always bored her so she focused her time on magic and studying herbs and medicine. However, Allet’s mom gifted her a small dagger for her 16th birthday that she always keeps with her for emergencies.

Story:
Allet was born to two Nieda worshippers who lived a few miles outside a small village. Barely a year old, Allet remembers nothing of the time she spent with her birth parents. Did they love her? Take care of her? Did they have a name for her? These questions often haunted her thoughts at night. Regardless of her parent’s nature, the townsfolk soon grew aware of their loyalty and feared their dark magic. They rallied together and killed them. She alone was spared.There was much debate of what Allet’s fate should be but a few months after her birth parent’s death, she ended up in the hands of a middle-aged couple, Lena and Danel Schal, in a village several miles away.

The Schals had been trying to have a child of their own for years. They welcomed Allet as their own, giving her a new name and life. Unlike her birth parents, Lena and Danel were devoted worshippers of Ganda and the light. They were determined to make sure Allet learned these teachings and beliefs, and she willingly did. Most of her childhood was full of happiness and love. The Schals were caring and as devoted to Allet as they were Ganda. It was Lena who taught Allet how to tend and work with herbs. As the years developed, this fun pastime turned into Allet’s passion. She spent most of her time within Lena’s small workshop.

Until Allet was 12 years old, life with the Schals was all she could have asked for. Whether it was a joke or someone had learned of Allet’s past, rumors began spreading she was a worshipper of Nieda. Children started to bully her, parents stopped allowing children near her, but Allet couldn’t understand any of it. She tried her best to be kind and make friends, but people could barely look her in the eye. Even her closest friend, Judet, couldn’t bear to speak with her. This was Allet’s breaking point. She rushed to her garden, eyes bloodshot and full of tears. She started to hate everyone who started those rumors, who had turned her life into this, she wished they were all dead. The moment these feelings and thoughts entered her head, Allet felt a powerful force rush through her and knock her to the ground. She let out a choked scream and her body began to shake. Allet’s mother rushed outside to find Allet surrounded by decaying Earth. The ground where Allet’s hands had touched had started to wither away. She looked at her hands in horror and fell unconscious. Fearful of touching her, Lena wrapped her daughter in a large sheet, only to find any contact with Allet’s hands decayed. A day full of panic, Lena waited for Danel to return home before contacting an old friend and witch doctor.

It was soon discovered Allet was cursed, anything her hands touched withered and decayed. They had no knowledge of how it happened or who cursed her, but could only assume it had something to do with her birth parents. There was nothing the witch doctor could do to take this curse away, but she was able to suppress its power. Only when Allet was under extreme emotional stress would the curse be in effect. The witch doctor was then sworn to secrecy to never speak of Allet’s curse and quietly left. Allet started taking regular herbal mixtures to help relax and calm her. The Schals eventually decided to move to another village far away where no one knew of Allet’s past.

The curse changed Allet forever. She no longer let herself grow close to others for fear of hurting them. She started to question her faith, unsure of where she belonged. Moving away from the past helped, but Allet still knew what she was capable of. She soon became obsessed with breaking the curse. Anytime she could, she would read records and documents on the Nieda and the dark. Her parents forbid her from doing this, fearful others would find out her secret. She did, for a while, but soon secretly started researching again. When she heard of the King’s call, she decided it was the best opportunity to see the outside world and learn of her curse.

Motive: While there are a few reasons Allet answers the King’s call, the main reason is to discover the origin of her curse. She believes this is the best opportunity for her to explore the outside world and find answers. The second, which is what she tells others, is she wants to make a name for herself and show the world that she can be good. Allet has always been adventurous and although she can not physically fight, her experience in herbs and healing as well as her magic will hopefully help get her there.

"I just wanted nuggets"
The Miyazaki family is quite known among the town of Crestwood Hollow. Originally from Japan, Aoi Fukuda travelled to America to study Meteorology, where she eventually fell in love with Nathaniel Miyazaki. Also Japanese, Nathaniel was the second generation from his family in America. Nathaniel lacked the wealthy upbringing of Aoi but was wickedly intelligent, and graduated at the top of his class. The two settled in Crestwood Hollow, where Aoi became the weather lady on a local news channel and Nathaniel continued his practice of financial advisements. Investing in several stocks from the money of Aoi’s family, Nathaniel was able to create a wealth of their own. Aoi gave birth to their first and only child, Cindy Miyazaki, two years later.

Cindy lived a life of privilege. Thanks to the wealth Nathaniel had accumulated over the years, they were able to live without any financial burden. Cindy was provided with all of her basic needs and desired wants, as well as a monthly allowance. While her parents were fairly progressive, they still had strict expectations of Cindy. She was required to excel in school and maintain an attractive appearance. Aoi taught Cindy how to dress appropriately in a stylish format, how to apply makeup, wash her skin so it would remain clear, and how to stay on top of new trends. Cindy found the whole process exhausting but followed everything her parents instructed. She loved her mother and father, and wanted to make them proud.

Away from the glances of her parents, Cindy was quite lazy. She loved jumping into an oversized sweater and sprawling out on her bed. Cindy’s favorite pastime, however, was eating delicious foods. Unbeknownst to her parents, Cindy had an infatuation for food. From daily visits to cafes and fast food places, Cindy wanted to taste all of the food offered in the area. Chicken nuggets held a special place in her heart. She has several stashes of candy and other foods within her seemingly neat bedroom. Anyone who could cook and provide Cindy with food could easily steal her heart.

Growing up in Crestwood Hollow, Cindy fit in fairly well. Thanks to her parent’s monthly dinners and connections, she learned proper manners and social skills from a young age. Approaching others and conversing had become second nature to her. She joined Forensics her first year at Mather Memorial and can now easily speak in front of a large crowd as well.
Cindy is well known among Mather Memorial students and even Crestwood Hollow. While she wouldn’t consider herself popular, she has several friends but only a few close ones. At times, she can come across as ignorant and pretentious from her upbringing. Cindy, however, is incredibly caring and possess a giddy and silly personality.

"Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It is already tomorrow in Australia."
//ABILITIES:

◼ Dream Manipulation | Cindy has the ability to enter the dream world of unconscious individuals and manipulate it in any form she chooses. The only limit to the environment is her imagination. From creating a tropical paradise to a chilling nightmare, she can create any type of world. If she chooses, Cindy can also give the reins to the dreamer and simply observe the dream. She does, however, have to appear physically in the individual's dream.

While she has full control over the environment and rules of the dream, she cannot control the thoughts and actions of the dreamer. They are able to interact with Cindy’s imagined world and even speak directly to her if they choose. Sometimes, dreamers can reject Cindy’s control and begin to fight back. This can cause serious headaches and weaken Cindy’s body when she awakes. Only those who possess a high physic ability can keep Cindy locked out of their mind. This is why Cindy tries her best to remain undetected in the dreams she visits.

None of the physical attributes gained within the dream transfer into the real world. Once the dreamer awakens, they will find their body in the condition they fell asleep in. The dreamer does, however, remember the dream vividly, and it can emotionally affect them. This means that they can wake up shivering, crying, having high heart rate, and many other body reactions to the events occuring in the dream.

Currently, Cindy has no awareness of this ability. There have been a few instances where she shared the same dream with some of her close friends, but this has been the only exposure to her ability.

//SKILLS:
◼ Social | Cindy is very social and skilled at interacting with others. She loves smiling and has an aura of happiness. Joining speech her freshman year, Cindy has also gain the confidence to speak in front of a crowd and share her mind.

◼ Intelligent | Thanks to her family’s expectations to excel in school, Cindy is among the smartest students at Mather Memorial. She continues to maintain a 4.0 and studies diligently to impress her parents.

//LIMITATIONS:
Time |Cindy can currently only last in another’s dream for around 15 minutes. She will begin feeling a head pain if she lingers for awhile in the dream world. If she continues to stay past her limit, she could cause serious damage to her brain. With practice, she will gradually be able to lengthen the time limit she has.

Dreamer Pool | Cindy can only enter the dream worlds of individuals she has physically met. As she practices and grows stronger, she will be able to accomplish this through other senses such as hearing an individual's voice, seeing their picture, and learning their name.

//WEAKNESSES:
◼ Emotional Repercussions | When Cindy creates dreams, she also faces the emotional effects the dreamer does. This includes waking up in a sweat or having an increased heart beat. She has to be especially careful when creating nightmares as they often have the biggest effect on the body.

◼ Defenseless | In order to enter the dreamworld, Cindy herself must also be unconscious. This means she leaves her physical body unprotected. She will not known if her body takes any injuries while in the dreamworld. On top of this, Cindy’s power lacks any offensive abilities. If she were attacked regardless if she were awake or not, she’d have trouble defending herself.

◼ Food | Ah, chicken nuggets. Cindy has a large love for delicious flavors and treats. She is often distracted simply by the smell of food. There is nothing better to spend your time than biting into an mouthwatering bite. Whenever eating, she often lets her guard down.

◼ Lack of Experience| Cindy currently has no knowledge of her ability. She hasn’t been able to practice and learn what she’s capable of.

▼ N O T E S:

//STOMPING GROUNDS
◼ Cat Town Cafe | This is one of Cindy’s favorite cafes of all time. They allow customers to play and interact with cats, also offering all of them up for adoption. Cindy thought the idea was genius and has invested lots of her allowance here.

◼ School Library | Cindy finds studying in a quiet environment much more productive. She spends a lot of her time here, only if she remembers to bring a bag of snacks of course though.

◼ Crestwood Hollow Mall| While the majority of Cindy’s clothes are purchased online, she does visit the mall with her mother often. As her mother says, it’s fun to try on clothes before you buy them once and awhile.

//PARAPHERNALIA
◼ Emergency Fashion Kit | It had been her mother’s idea. Cindy contains a small mint green pouch that contains anything she might need in an emergency. Breath mints, a needle and thread, a handkerchief, bandages, and other miscellaneous things.

◼ Pepper Spray| Cindy’s parents required she carried around pepper spray at all times in case anyone were to attack her. She often comes home late from studying at the library and it helps her feel more comfortable walking to her car at night.

◼ Flower Ring| While she doesn’t wear it everyday, Cindy owns a golden ring with a flower outlined in zirconia crystals. It had been a gift from her best friend, Lauren. It was simple but still pretty, and Cindy adored it.
I’ve also been drawn back to the guild recently! This seems interesting and fun if you’re still accepting!

Cursing under her breath, Kayley quickly rummaged through her dresser for her workout clothes.So foolish. How could she have been so irresponsible? She had been so focused on the unsolved murder case, she had completely forgotten about her Guardian Auxiliary duties and their mandatory workout that morning. She smacked her forehead in frustration. Rickard, the Captain of Guardian Auxiliaries, and her own squad leader, Liam, were furious. Kayley was also enraged at her actions. This should never have happened.

Racing to throw on simple, black shorts and white tank top, she hurried over to meet back with Liam and Rickard. Not only were they punishing her with an extreme workout, she was also assigned to clean up all of the excess trash around the courtyard. These punishments were nothing compared to the weeks of mental torture Kayley would put herself through. She would work even harder, study every moment she was free, she wouldn’t forgive herself until she passed out from exhaustion. Rickard and Liam were chatting when Kayley finally arrived.

“Warm up with some laps. I’ll let you know when you can stop,” Liam said, a scowl still on his face.

“Okay,” She affirmed before heading to the track.

Starting off with a light jog, she eventually picked up her speed. She started to feel her muscles tense but continued speeding up. All of this, the burn she was beginning to feel, the soreness she would feel tomorrow, she deserved it all. Each lap finished motivated her to go faster. She forced herself to remember her promise and vow to her parents, to remember the night that haunted her dreams, why she wanted to become a Guardian in the first place. There was no excuse for being irresponsible. She couldn’t afford to rest and lose track of her goal. All of this was for the two people she loved more than anything. The night her parents died replayed through her mind for the thousandth time. She couldn’t move. All she could do was watch as the merciless monsters cut off her mother’s horn, watch as they plunged a knife into her father’s majestic body. Once. Twice. Five times. Ten. Twenty. “No! You can’t!” She screamed with her whole body. “Stop!”

She suddenly felt strong arms shake her. Blinking several times, Kayley realized the arms had belonged to Rickard, and they were both sitting on the ground. Liam stood closely behind. She met both of their widened eyes. What happened? Her face felt wet, and she discovered she had been crying.

“Kayley, what’s going on?” Rickard firmly asked. Still in a daze, she was unable to open her mouth.

“Kayley?” Liam echoed his concern.

“I..I don’t know. What happened?” She asked, wiping away her tears.

“You were sprinting your laps. You ran maybe twenty before you started screaming and shortly after, you collapsed,” Rickard said.

Kayley rubbed her forehead. She wasn’t sure how to respond. What was going on with her? If others found out about her past, she’d be endangered.

“I’m sorry, I’m fine. Let’s keep going,” She said at last.

“No, I think we’re done here,” Rickard said.

“What?”

“You still need to go and pick up all the trash in the courtyard. Don’t miss our workout again, Kayley.” Rickard glanced at her before walking off, leaving her and Liam alone.

“Kayley, what’s going on with you?” Liam asked.

“Nothing is wrong. I won’t miss it again.” Kayley took a deep breath and stood up. She needed to get out of here quickly.

“What were you thinking about that made you scream? Something is clearly going on.”

“I said, I am fine. Rickard said I need to clean the courtyard.” She waited for Liam’s nod before walking hurriedly away.

Kayley grabbed all of the necessary supplies she needed, trash bags, gloves, etc. She ignored the pain of her sore legs. Part of her was still shaken up over the event that had occurred shortly before, but she kept going.The path she was on was for her loved ones, and she would continue walking it.

Arriving at the Grand Courtyard, she immediately noticed bright orange fliers covering the ground. Sighing heavily, she began the process of throwing them into her bag. This would take all day.

Other Appearance:

Hidden far in the depths of the Seelie court lived a few of the last remaining Unicorns in existence. Asteria and Charon, well known among the supernatural community for their past endeavors, had decided to settle down after the birth of their first and only child, Kalista. Here, Kalista was able to live blissfully in peace, away from the dangers of Hunters and Humans. She could wake up every morning without the fear her parents had held growing up. The family lived happily for the first thirteen years of her life. Every night, Asteria and Charon would tell Kalista of their past adventures, under the magical tree, Dodona. She could still remember the leaves rustling against the wind, as if it were whispering to her. Both of her parents believed Dodona to bring good fortune, so they took residence there. They would often explore the area, always making sure to stay within 10 miles of the tree. Kalista’s parents taught her how to hone her magical abilities, to transform into her human form, and most importantly, how to enjoy life. She was incredibly close with her parents and loved them dearly. She keeps these memories close and often dreams of the times she lived within the Fae realm.

Shortly after Kalista had turned thirteen, Asteria and Charon had received news from an old friend. A castor, Yana, was nearing her end and wished to see them one last time. Yana had been one of the very few present at the birth of Kalista and was especially close with Asteria. They knew the risks of entering the human world. They hired two Guardians to escort the family to Yana’s residence. A powerful Ignis Witch, Stefan, also an old friend of Kalista’s family had willingly volunteered to help them. An Irish shifter, Conor, who had come in place of the family's close friend, Valon. Conor had trained under Valon, a powerful, Mezmer Guardian, and due to Valon's inability to leave Rome, the young pupil gladly volunteered to take his place. Transforming into their human forms, the family secretly set out to Yana’s estate.

It had been the first time Kalista entered the human world. While she was curious about its existence, she preferred the seclusion and familiarly of her home. The group had travelled for two days and were on the outskirts of Russia before they were attacked. The Korikov family was well known for their malicious methods of murdering the supernaturals. Kalista’s family was well aware of their threat as they travelled. Despite the large amount of secrecy and planning that had gone into the journey, a Korikov couple and their son had managed to hunt them.

They attacked in the middle of the night. Kalista’s remembers the event vividly. She watched as her parents were brutally murdered, watched as the older man sliced the magical horn off her mother’s head, watched as they continued striking her father tens, hundreds of times. They were smiling. She wasn’t able to move, even after Stefan firmly grabbed her shoulder, even after she heard a sharp scream escape from her own mouth. She couldn’t feel the heat of the flames Stefan created to border them from the Korikov family. Everything had gone numb. Kalista’s eyes stayed attached to the two individuals she loved more than anything. She watched their bodies slowly cease to move. She watched it at all. She remembered her eyes eventually meeting the young boy, his dark, colorless eyes swallowing her. He smiled as Stefan dragged her away. Kalista fell into unconsciousness shortly after.

Kalista awoke several weeks later, in an entirely new world. Unsure what to do, Stefan had brought Kalista to a small town in Virginia, known as Nowhere, where he had spent several years of his life studying at Gringore Academy. He met with the headmaster in private, and begged for his help. Alfred immediately called in the Fae Advisor, Nala, and the academy’s own Unicorn, Arianwyn. The four swore to secrecy of Kalista’s identity and agreed that Nala would raise her. Death of Asteria and Charon soon circled around the world, and a great mourning shortly pursued. Kalista’s whereabouts became a mystery to all. Stefan claimed she disappeared when they were attacked, and eventually returned to his Guardian duties. He occasionally visits to check up on Kalista, but stays far out of sight.

It took several months before Kalista was able to cope with her reality. Nightmares haunted her every moment, both awake and asleep. She hated herself for not having the strength to help her parents. She vowed to never transform into her Unicorn form until she had brought justice to her parents. A year passed before she was able to make it through the day without tears. Nala taught Kalista the ways of the world and helped her learn how to blend in with human society and avoid modern iron inventions. She changed her name to Kayley Sherwood and pretended to be a Maagia with Magic Immunity, to both keep her protected and blend in better. Kayley eventually came to trust Nala, but continued to keep her at a distance.

When Kayley learned of Gringore Academy and the Guardians, she promised herself to work harder than anyone and become a Guardian who could protect those who needed help. No one would have to go through what she did ever. Until she came of age, Kayley busied herself studying supernatural creatures and getting her human body into shape. Three years after Kayley had been with Nala, Naida was brought to her home. A Merrow who had nowhere else to go. Kayley saw so much of herself in the girl and easily grew close to her. She helped her ease into the human world and quickly became protected of her.

After a few years of adjusting to mundane life, the two eventually enrolled in Gringore Academy. Kayley quickly became one of the academy’s top students. Because of her vow to her parents, she studied, practiced, and worked harder than any of the other students. She is incredibly dedicated to becoming a powerful Guardian and bringing justice to her parents. Unlike Naida, Kayley is quite blunt, stubborn, and often viewed as rude during first impressions. She has no social skills and tends to keep conversations with others short. The only person she feels comfortable around and trusts completely is Naida.
