I'm going to be gone from the 6th till the 22nd due to military obligations once again. This should be the last time for a long while that i'll need to take an absence.

Understood: Come home safe.

@Everyone: Beware, players. The ball begins August 9-10... And I will be there. -Spider Queen.
Illogical. A person's thought processes are generally more complex than that. Besides, this does not account for people who change sides based on which side they think is the most convincing at the time, all sorts of other inbetween states.

Sexuality is an example of genetics hard coding. Political affiliation, a purely ideological concept, is not. At least, there needs to be far more concrete evidence than this.

Edit

Essentially: A mix of nature and nurture is the most logical conclusion. The only question is, to what extent.
On the topic of multiple people playing the same archetype: It's fine. It merely means you need to adjust and show what makes your character unique. Develop them. Heck for two people with the same archetype you can set up such classic relationships as apprentice-mentor or comrade-comrade, battle brothers, rivalry... In fact it irks me when a person can't take seeing more than one of the same archetype. I look at it like a special snowflake syndrome. There are people who share similar skills and hobbies to you in real life, is it that outrageous the same might occur to your character?

What makes a character unique isn't their background or their role. It's how they deal with a situation. Their actions determine who they are, not their past or abilities.
@Maxim: I like it so far, but need dat second school of magic and all that jazz.

Awakened Meditation
--Rapid Mental Recovery (Rank 2): You have mastered the art of magic to the point where you can recover fully between battles, and have started to develop a small ability to 'steal' and absorb the magic others throw at you. (Basics of spell stealing (passive), this character fully recovers between multiple battles in a single mission.)

The unique upgrade is approved.

Egh, give me several days to think of an accompanying fluff.Though, am I correct that Laenaia not getting hypnotic eyes is because of her magic school? Or did you roll a dice for the upgrade?Still thinking about what school of magic I'll take for the second.

I randomed it to try and keep it unique, yes. At the moment Zin and Laenaia are very similar.
Maher Adonai (again)

It's approved since we talked about it over steam and what not anyway.
Zayn

Both Uniques approved, so on and so forth, electric boogaloo and all that.

Snake Whip and Divine Connection's upgrade approved.

--Investigator (Rank 2): Where others might struggle to put the clues together, this character's eyes have grown used to looking for the out of place or abnormal. Chinks in the defenses are easier to locate, and things that aren't natural or off-kilter and relevant to your character's curiosity are easier to detect and find. (Increases chances of finding out of place things and detecting weaknesses in armour. There is a chance that your character will suddenly have a realization about something they didn't understand before (GM assistance).)

New Unique approved, upgraded unique approved.
Naream

Both uniques approved.

It was definitely a great game, but remastered? Isn't it a little soon to make a remastered edition? I mean, what's changed about it? Where are the improvements?

So they could do this. Obviously!

Sure, winning is also decent character development if that's the way you want to take it*. I'd simply rather choose.*typically, I like to hit my characters repeatedly with a stick, but I'm sure I'll throw one a bone one day.

I prefer dice for the reason that it takes away the choice from me and forces me to act dynamically, like, say, in real life. Instead of my character always getting things their way, they could legitimately get maimed or die. So long as it makes sense in-context, like a veteran warrior should never lose to some random peasant in a normal, straight up duel.
Another Renalta quote. This one was one where I played with Shakespearian English, threw in a little German here and there. The battle was a brutal slugfest where Marcus eventually wins by shattering the Crusader's knee, but still. The dialogue is really something.
Crusader: "Hark stranger! I seek but one; A woman with raven black hair! Hath thou seen such a fair witch?"

Marcus: "You have but one desire, and for that, I advise that you turn. For no raven would dare sit long enough for a hunter to catch."

Crusader: [Upon realizing Marcus is a Tiefling--descended from demonic blood] "Thou consider me jester or fool? Hath thou no thought to thy words? Fie! Thou compare me to death, which rains upon thee like fire from the Heavens!"

Marcus: "Abaye more, Butcher."

Crusader: [Note: Mixed German in with English.] "Thou shalt soon be A-tenden for thy forfet, no Alembyk nor Wiccan's serpent tongue shall spare thee, unless thou confessen to thy forsunegede cost!"

Marcus: "To battle, then."

[After further taunts during the fight, the battle ends with Marcus overtop his opponent]

Crusader: "Thou hath fought bravely.. Thou flaunt thy power, now shall thou flaunt thy mercy? Honour amongst knights?"

Marcus: [Executes him] "No quarter for dead men."

I also terrify my coworkers, apparently. Random pizza party as a thank you for all the hard work night crew does. Shovelled a large pizza down in 15 minutes while everyone stared in slight disbelief that the 140 pound guy who grew up poor can eat food like a fucking vacuum cleaner.

Also, they pay me. That's nice too.

And the free internet for my phone.
Despite living in the "real world", her best friends are anime characters that are totally real. Mmhmm.
