Awesome, brothers it is! :D If you want to change Cristoff's name go ahead, I'll change it on my CS as well.@Brovo, the Chosen Ones don't actually know their fate/destiny, do they? And how advanced are the guns in the RP? In my head it's the Civil War era guns, where you had to reload after each shot but could still be reliable at a far distance.

Actually they do. Each character knows from one method or another. (If you can't think of one, dream sequence is classic and works.)

Depends. Pistols are reliable at mid range, blunderbus at short, and rifles at long like civil war era. However, the longer the range of the shot, the lower the armour piercing gets.

Haha, I did notice that. You're probably right, I'll wait on Brovo. By the way, has anybody got suggestions on where I could get pictures for my character?

The thing about fate and destiny is that they are quite vague. For instance, a brother could be nonliteral, a metaphor for a battle brother for instance.

Also, can review sheets when home from work. Will slowly start adding missions as well.
I'll be able to redo Bishop and Kurotori's sheets Tuesday now that I'm well rested and LoR 2 is on its feet. Cya soon Kestrel. Try not to leave me behind. :(
Also, without revealing who the characters are that each have these fates and destinies, I'll let y'all try to help out whoever has these fates and destinies in deciphering what they might mean.

Oh, and those who have them, if you wish to step forward and let others know which is yours, go ahead.

"The bowels of hell await the storm, screams of pain and pleas for mercy, a rat scuttles about the sewers, his fangs deep in the stone. One final scream of a man past his time, to relief or to his end, a moment of pride, then, the storm ends."

"His connection with his master was strong, and his wisdom open and clear, his thoughts, clouded, never seeing the light, until it bathes him, creating to one and all the master of light and darkness."

"The grass quivers, the night calls to thee, a ranger's darkness now his only friend, it courses rapidly, every beat like a war drum, they call to you now, scream to the night, for it is your friend."

"Such precious droplets these two eyes see, but one a truth and one a lie, the curtains open and reveal a plague, its carrier, a visage, though which war shall be waged... The fury of ten thousand years, opened by the eye of lies."

"Fires dance in moonlit sky, a cheated soul now lies dead, hoorah hoorah oh slayer of saviors, hoorah hoorah oh murderer of hopes, for your fate is sealed, a murderer of brothers once, to be twicefold... Yet not to despair... Resist the sanguine embrace, and seek out The Red of the loving pair. Through The Red you may be saved."
Updates

This is LoR 2's first major update. Expect a changelog feel. First, some minor changes and additions, then characters. I'm also re-reviewing previously accepted characters, as I was dead tired when I did it the first time and might have missed something in my excitement to get things rolling. Lets make sure everything is done right.

OOC Edits
--Added a "Map Legend" hider, which explains what each tile is on the world map, as I've received multiple comments about specific parts of the map being unclear. My apologies. Hopefully the map legend tab should make it easier.
--Added Renalta's history post-fall and reunion, Liveria's origins are also there.
--Beginning missions overhauls.

Alhvaharyis is acceptable on a second pass. His fate is being delivered... Now.

Kasim Ambilus passes a second view.

Rayvon Krayvitch passes once again, no surprise there.

Esyllt Boudica has passed her first and hopefully only inspection.

Erasmus I'm going to assume that your soulshard is Harmony... Still best to check though.

Aneura Shivan is accepted again on her second pass.

Jason Drake is accepted now. Fate & Powerful Connection information en route in a PM.

Tromund 'Trom' Five-Blade... What's your soulshard? Is it an item, a weapon, a shield?

Eins Nimgrud is now acceptable. Destiny is en route to your PM Box.

Kraith is now acceptable.

Renaldo is acceptable on a second pass.

Lothar Wolff is acceptable on a second pass.

Andrea Llolth'Allin is acceptable on a second pass.

Naream Baenre is acceptable on a second pass. Mikan is assigned by request as his powerful connection.

Tristan Whitemarch is acceptable, his fate will be sent by PM shortly... Mind you, you do have an extra stat point, you may as well spend it somewhere. :p

Saul is acceptable. Fate will be sent by PM soon.

Missions will be posted up soon as well, keep an eye open...
Depends on what you want out of magic. There are several different ways you can do magic, all perfectly valid. I find the most successful kind I use tends to be a supernatural force that is constrained only by the physical limitations of the user. In general, though...

#1: The more powerful the spell, the longer it should take to gather the energy to complete the spell. Compare to, say, a download. If you're downloading a small movie clip on YouTube, it should be done pretty quickly. If you're trying to download an entire movie however, that will take a little longer.

#2: A detection method for mages. This can vary from mages being able to sense other mages to some physical change in wielders of magic that makes them visible to something else. This prevents "gods in robes" from forming, which are characters whom are potent magicians and can plainly and obviously defeat any character they come across simply by being able to hide their talent. This would be like if a professional swordsman could hide his two handed claymore and then just have it magically appear in his hands.

#3: Physical curtails. Whether this is a hard limit in which a character cannot cast spells beyond X level of power or a soft limit in which characters begin to hurt themselves casting beyond a certain point or level of power, there needs to be something that stops mages from downloading meteor.exe and wiping out the entire enemy fortress. Single handed.

#4: Outright banning certain forms of magic, maybe because it's outside of human physical capacity, maybe because magic simply doesn't cover it, but things like chronomancy--power over time--and unlimited no restrictions shapeshifting, or mind control at any range, or stuff like this, is absolutely impossible to counter or balance without rigging even more broken circumstances to fight it with, which upsets everyone involved and puts into question the true power of magic in your universe.

Beyond those four points, there's not much that needs to be said about magic, because magic is quite literally anything outside of what is normally impossible made possible. Like summoning fire and not burning yourself as a result.

Hello! I'm interested in joining what looks to be an awesome RP.Just wondering does the lords' titles and estates in Renalta get inherited by the eldest male child of the family? Or do the parents bequeath the children the title and whatever inheritance they think each child deserves? Also, how frequently do you expect us to post?Edit: also, what happens if magical endurance is 0? A character with 0 of any of the other traits seems to have pretty disastrous consequences, but magical endurance seems to make a character just be unable to cast spells only?

In Renalta (role play) each culture tends to tackle inheritance on a person-to-person basis, though the following tends to be the most common.
Kingdom of Renalta: If no will is created, inheritance is split between all children, with the eldest child being given any estates owned by the parents. If there is a will created, then inheritance is split accordingly to the will.
Kingdom of Liveria: Commoners' belongings are liquidated to whomever member of the aristocracy they worked for, who in turn either keeps them or grants them to whoever he or she thinks deserves them. (With especially greedy members of the aristocracy usually getting a reputation that ruins them later on down the line.)
Kingdom of Rheinfeld: Usually the church decides in case families cannot agree on who gets what.
The Imperium: Eldest child.
Free Holds: Auctioned out to the highest bidder with the family/slave owner getting the proceeds.
Goblin Holds: Unknown, it isn't really set up yet due to the tumultuous nature of this kingdom, so eldest child rules probably apply.
Kingdom of Tuleria: Given based on wealth disparity. Richest members of the family receive the least, impoverished members of the family receive the most.

As for frequency of posting, once a week will suffice, I don't intend to post more often than that most of the time, thanks to having a full time job and what not.

The consequences of having 0 magical endurance are actually just as dire as having 0 in the other stats. It's not just magic that you can't cast, you also can't use or wield magical artifacts, items, weapons, shields, or otherwise at all. Sure you can pick up the sword of flaming truths but it'll just be a sword in your hands with no magical effects. Not to mention the stat is called magical endurance, it does sometimes relate to how effectively your character can stand up to some spell types... ;)
Cracks fingers Time to do my GM thing. MASS REVIEWS INCOMING! (Note: If your character is declined, take heart, it usually takes a couple attempts to get things just right.)

Alhvaharyis.

A Chosen One (Fate). Trait acknowledged. Skype message will be sent with your destiny. Good luck... ;)

Soul Gorge approved.

Character Approved.

@Kestrel: Do you want me to auto-assign you a powerful connection or are you going to request a specific one for when this sheet is done?

Kasim Ambibilus, approved.

Rayvon Krayvitch, approved.

Aneura Shivan, approved.

Jason Drake... Not approved.
#1: What chosen one is being picked? Fate, or Destiny?
#2: The hood being on or off determining whether the unique trait works or doesn't work is a little silly. :p This could use some work.

Tromund ‘Trom’ Five-blade, approved.

Eins Nimgrud, needs some work. You have two more conditions and I think you should work on an entirely new Unique ability. Controlling lightning within 50m is both niche and overpowered since she can do it without training. (And I mean extremely niche. Lightning doesn't just appear from nowhere, after all. :p)

Renaldo Ysattara, approved.

Lothar Wolff, approved.

Andrea Llolth'Allin, approved.

Naream Baenre, approved.
@Everyone: I'll be updating the first post and sending out any relevant PM's or skype messages tomorrow. When I'm awake. :p A little more lore may also be coming along.
McKenzie Bishop and Kurotori Uekira will be returning to the front lines soon, friend.

Brovo should I take up Will my old character or do you wish for a younger generation. It's iUp to you

Younger generation Aerandir. All the old characters are now unplayable as main protagonists, as I said on the Interest Checks section. :p
