Bruce took notice of Jenso's efforts with the ground, pausing in his forward charge with his weapon of ki. Instead, he changed it back into his chain, looping one end of it around the platform he'd been on and swinging downward in an arc that would bring him across Prisma's lower leg. At the same time, he focused, much more intently than at any other point, to try manipulating the now molten magma that burbled below. The melted rock rippled and rose up, shifting and viscous. He brought it up near where he would cross Prisma's leg, manifesting his blade of ki again. He made the magma careen toward the point where he intended to cut into Prisma with his blade, aiming to time everything so that he'd swing by and cut into the metal just before the ball of magma struck.
Bruce's body shook violently despite being out of the blast's direct path, and he felt the effect of the destruction on the earth surrounding them through his extended presence. He grit his teeth, opening up the chute he was in and breaking down that material into new platforms to jump and ascend to, creating a new network of spiked branching columns in various directions that he leapt around on to avoid being an easy target.
"What is his tell?" he thought, running through possibilities in his mind. The only things that stood out were the electricity, and his ability to redirect energy more quickly from one hand to the other.
Bruce narrowed his eyes, daring to approach a bit closer to the giants body, near his torso and under his arm. He began focusing his ki back into a weapon in a rush, hefting his shoulders behind him as if to attack, though he kept his feet tensed and ready to jump backward.
Bruce erected a new, spiraling pillar immediately to Prisma's left, culminating in a chute that Bruce dropped down into, deconstructing the platform he'd been standing on and layering the outside of the pillar with that material, adding in various types of rock, dirt and sand into the mix, expanding it more and more as a type of shield between his body and Prisma's hand that was gathering energy. The chute had numerous paths to the outside observer, but the inside only led as far the side of the giant opposite his lowered hand as possible. As he moved, Bruce made use of some of the excessive ki, the leak of which he'd managed to learn to stem at least marginally, to reinforce what acted as a shield between him and the oncoming blast.
As a means of being proactive, he also made one of the outer paths of the chute wrap around one of Prisma's legs- ideally it would aid in, if not restricting, at least slowing the giant down if he got it into his head to move somewhere.
Bruce noted, out of the corner of his eye, even as his chains of ki were broken by Prisma's extensive energy, the bright flash and the roar Jenso gave even after taking such a potentially fatal attack. He chuckled, and though his own laugh was modest and rarely echoed, the resonance he was experiencing with the planet gave it a tumbling, gravelly quality that made it boom almost volcanically, ringing against the giant's metallic body. He flashed a grin that was equal parts mad thrill and unshakeable confidence as he allowed his chains to vanish, his ki sparking wildly again without a concentrated form to contain it.
"Terraformation."
A new platform of earth shot up to meet Bruce's feet, and huge flaps came up all around him toward Prisma's outstretched hand, six in total, each the size of a small island and aiming to clasp about the giant's hand and fingers to contain the blast of his energy. At the same time, spreading out his presence below, he re-solidified the cement around the giant's feet, even working to extend it up his leg.
Bruce allowed his blade of ki to dissipate, refocusing it into the chains he'd used earlier, wrapped several times around his body. Rather than reform the earth material that crumbled as a result of Prisma's electricity, he leapt off into the air from it, using the chain to wrap around the leg that wasn't crackling with energy to swing himself through the giant's thighs and around one side. The chains only shot out from around his body, leaving his hands free again.
Using one, he gathered the massive amount of material that had formed the network of platforms behind him, sending it up directly over Prisma's head and body into a huge mass of earth and rock.
With the other hand, Bruce hardened the mud around Prisma's ankles until it had the consistency and density of cement, hoping to prevent the giant from moving to avoid the combination assault he was planning. Meanwhile, he continued shooting out lengths of chain, anticipating the need to swing from another part of the giant's body.
Bruce briefly sheathed his blade of ki, freeing up both his hands to concentrate on manipulating his element. The platform he and Jenso stood on split into two, still connected like a branch to a tree, but Jenso's shot upward above the giant's hand while Bruce's swerved beneath it. New platforms and branching pathways continued to branch off of Jenso's, occasionally his would swing in either direction while the new platform shot straight ahead, but his path took him the quickest into the air. As he ascended, the superfluous pathways behind him began to crumble and the material fell, but it rejoined Bruce below and became a part of his platform, though it still rippled with versatility.
Once Bruce came up to one of the giant's legs, he unsheathed his sparking sword in a flash, aiming to cut through the metal material, if only somewhat, and leave behind a few millions particles of dirt within any wound he could make to upset the creature's ability to reform itself.
Bruce took a moment to digest the gigantic being that towered above them. He considered Jenso's current state and his advice regarding the imminent battle.
"Vale fled." he answered simply, sparing the vampire no further comment.
"Every opponent, no matter how powerful, has a tell," he said, manipulating the walls around them and reforming the landscape where the giant stood. "If we pay attention, we can determine the best place and time to strike."
The walls of the temple became viscous and thick, transforming into a massive avalanche of mud.
"Terraformation."
Bruce tilted the very ground they on which they stood downward toward the creature, and the mud bore down toward one of the giant's feet in a huge mudslide, intending to disturb its footing. At the same time, Bruce shifted the earth directly beneath them into a platform that shot up with them and flew toward their target, its connection to the ground always shifting yet never breaking.
Bruce turned slowly toward the innermost section of the temple, his eyes glancing up, hyper aware of every part of the temple affected by the sudden surge in energy.
Refusing to spare the vampire another thought, he sprinted toward the innermost sanctum, weaving around the pillars that were falling, already focused on destroying the wall between himself and Jenso.
Bruce felt an awesome calm take hold of him. The quicksand Vale's blade was sinking into swallowed it down. He crouched, one foot on his toes ready to charge.
Rather than sprinting, the ground seems to ebb and flow beneath him. He glided at a streaking speed across the ground's surface, leaping up to meet the wall and ricocheting off it. In seconds he was in midair and had taken Vale's back, his blade hefted over his shoulder. He slashed downward with it, aiming to sever one of his arms at the shoulder blade.
Bruce breathed, feeling his exhalation disseminate throughout the chamber in time with the earth. The rock his shoulder had turned into crumbled from around Vale's sword, and his hardened hand opened, letting the blade fall. With a thought, Bruce turned the ground beneath the blade into quicksand before it even touched the floor, threatening to swallow it down.
He was keenly aware that although his ki had spiked significantly, it currently ran more wild than before, unkempt and unpracticed in such a degree of strength as he was. He forced some of it back into the form of his blade, though it still sparked brightly and often.
"Now," he said, turning his eyes toward Vale again. The floor between him and Vale seemed to undulate. "Terraformation."
The floor of the chamber that lay between them began to roll up like a carpet toward Vale, shaking the temple with the force behind it.
