Not necessarily, it can sometimes mean past or future settings. I figured you meant modern times, but I just wanted to make sure :P

Form of Aspect:
The Sword of Heaven, Durendal

Appearance of Aspect:
Durendal never dulls, and even other weapon forms will find it almost impossible to break. The blade is incredibly sharp, and even the slightest touch may be able to pierce skin. The razor sharp blade has an unusual whitish hue, with magical runes inlaid into it, lending to it's durability and sharpness. The blade descends towards a crossguard enameled with gold in the shape of the wings of an angel. The leather-wrapped grip is capped by a golden pommel with a tooth rumored to have once belonged to St. Peter within it. It is also rumored the hilt contains the hair of Saint Denis, the blood of Saint Basil, and a shred of closing once worn by the Virgin Mary. It is said that the sword was a gift to Charlemagne from the heavens themselves.

Xeno:
Leon's first ability, bestowed upon him to complement the use of Durendal, is the ability to summon the Armor and Shield of the Paladin. A part of Roland's legend has been lost to time: In addition to the sword Durendal, Charlemagne was also bestowed with the Armor and Shield, and it was in turn given to Roland along with the sword.. The magical suit of armor and shield can be materialized around Leon in the same way that a weapon form can, encasing him from head to toe with the gleaming white armor that once belonged to the Roland. In the same way that the sword was, the armor and shield were forged from the Heavens and inlaid with magical runes. The armor is almost unbreakable like Durendal, and is enchanted so that Leon can move normally in it. There are, of course, weakness in the joints as is typical in armor of this style, and the armor is taxing to summon, and as such Leon can typically only keep it on for 3 minutes before being forced to unequip it. The shield, however, can be summon indefinitely.

The ability that Leon shares with Durendal is The Call of the Olifant. In addition to the sword, Roland was also given a magical olifant, which was supposedly crafted from the horn of a unicorn. Using this ability Leon the sword mimics the powerful call once made from the olifant, able to knock down Leon's enemies and inspire his allies.

Additional Info: Leon chooses not to enter into an alliance, instead relying on his own skills with the sword to survive. He is usually successful in duels, as his skills are greatly suited to one-on-one combat.
