Tobias' Gala - Basement
"The generator room is just through this- aah!"

The poor waitress recoiled immediately after opening the door, stepping back to allow the pride to see inside. The room of course was as dark as the rest of the mansion... except for the generator which was sparking up blindly bright arcs of electricity around itself. Luckily there was nothing which could ignite anywhere near it.

"Keep behind me," Syed muttered, stepping forward into the room. Well, his magic affording him an immunity to shocks certainly proved useful sometimes. He fiddled with the machine for a moment, muttering under his breath the entire time, while Moira simply stood there shrugging and looking like a bit of a lemon. At least, until there was a loud bang, followed by a yell from the mage, and the sparks stopped entirely.

"Ey, you ain't dead or ewt, are you?" Moira called out into the darkness.

"Nah, afraid not. And it's broken," he coughed back. Amy directed some of her light into the room, revealing him looking fine, other than the hair stood on end and startled expression. Once he had done wafting the smoke from his face he gestured towards the fuse box the waitress was now messing with, to no avail. She turned to nod at him in confirmation. "It all is." His jaw set as he back up to his feet, although his concern and dread were pretty evident on his face. Oh gods, this really was serious! "Someone did it on purpose."

"You what? Really? Urgh!" Moira exclaimed a little too loudly. Well, it looked like the party was over. Nothing like drama to make you start to sober up a little. Not that it stopped her stumbling a little on the spot. And to think, they were blaming them for ruining this party! "So... what do we do?"

Syed cringed again, looking to the others in the group. It could be anything. A sole thug, an organised group. Armed, unarmed. They literally had no idea. They might not even be here anymore. If Tobias had made such an enemy of Dylan, it was possible someone else just had it in for him. Either way, they should probably be ready for the worst, as far as he was concerned. "I don't know, how big is this place? We should probably split into groups and search for anything suspicious? And it might be an idea if we escort this lady back to the others while we're at it," he gestured again towards the waitress. "She needs to let Tobias know what we've found."

"Why does this kind of shit always happen?!" Moira grumbled as she strode back through the door and towards the stairs, throwing her arms in the air. "And never when I got me sword on me!"
You didn't, it's cool. I took advantage of the time to get myself cleaned up and dressed, so I ended up not waiting at all. Awesome!

And that is a good pic and looks a lot like him, but it's a bit on the sophisticated side for our favourite summoner lmao :P Kei, how the heck did you get grounded?!

Hope everyone's having a great day! Mine's... going to be a bit challenging lol. Big week at work + new store manager + work partner being off because of Ramadan = oh noes

Tobias' Gala - Dance Floor
"What do you fuckin' mean, quietly?!" Moira exclaimed, as oblivious to the atmosphere as ever. It was only when she received a chorus of hushing noises in response that she quietened down. Okay. Okay. Maybe she should shut up.

She swayed a little on the spot, before recoiling when Amy let out her light. Urgh! "Do you reckon, right..." she started, actually managing to keep her voice down this time. By whispering. It was loud whispering, but it was better than before. "Do you reckon... it's whatsitface? You know..." she twirled her hands around on the spot as she tried to kick her brain into gear, "Don. He did this all the time. He did it in Clockwork Town, remember?"

"Don?" Syed whispered back, feeling somewhat comforted by Amy's light despite himself. "I dunno, I doubt it." As much as he did have a predecent of leaving then showing up shortly after, he doubted the man would leave Selan like that again quite this soon. "Just keep your guard up."

"You're being paranoid again," Moira grumbled. "It's just the lights."

Syed's eyes flicked around the area. Well, maybe he was being paranoid. But he had been a guilder long enough to know that if something can go wrong, it probably would. And as good as Amy's light was, it did little to illuminate the outer edges of the room. He did have his radar-like magic, but there were too many people about. He wouldn't be able to tell what was what. At most it would let him know if anyone went through any doors, but with the number of staff...

No, the priority should be to get the lights back up. It could just be a blown fuse after all. He turned to a waitress who was nearby, beckoning her towards him. "Do you need any help getting the lighting back up? I'm an electromage, I should be able to help if you need it," he whispered to her, still looking nervously around himself.
I'm calling the post after Rex now, since I have to be walking through the door into work in two and a half hours. Sodding work lol
It won't load D:

Sorry I didn't comment on everything yesterday! I was running super late and it took five minutes for yesterday's post to send, so lol. The concert sounds amazing, and being recognised must feel increadible!

Damn, bad to hear about the tutition fees, Kei :( Yeah, if it weren't for student loans and grants and stuff my parents wouldn't have been able to afford for my sister to go to university either (I never went so lololololol). Why does everything require money uuuuurrrrrgh. So good luck!

*screams and foams at the mouth at Fox's commissions*

Tobias' Gala - Dance Floor
"Heeey, woudlja look at that!"

Moira allowed herself to be steered away from Dylan, somewhat curious as to what exactly Amy was talking about. She had already pretty much forgotten what she was accusing Dylan of, so it was no big deal. She staggered a little, still easily dwarfed by them both even in her heels, before squinting in the direction Amy was cackling at.

Wait, was that...? And with her... "Who the fuck is that?!" she bellowed, not quite realising the volume of her own voice. If he was the type to sweep her off her feet, she could picture it. If he was whirling her around the dance floor at terrific speeds with precision and skill. But... he wasn't. He was bumbling and fumbling, hesitating and talking a lot, even if they were pretty obviously out of earshot. What?!

Was he bleeding?!

"Did he try anythin'?!" Moira looked to the others. There was no denying that Estelle could defend herself, especially against a spinless looking welp like that. Maybe she socked him in the honker. Moira would have. There was one thing she was sure of though.

Estelle looked awkward as hell. Right. "Ey, reckon I should punch him too?"

Syed took a deep sigh, before removing a hand from one of his pockets and stepping forward. "Estelle?" He called, waving his arm above his head. He didn't have the volume in his voice that Moira had, but his height would certainly play to his advantage here. "Estelle! Come on, you... uh... promised me a dance, remember?" he cringed a little, fully aware of how flimsy his words sounded. Damn.

"Don't do or say anything," he muttered to Moira, who folded her arms with a scowl. Pah! Of course, there was no such promise. But if Estelle needed the lifeline to get out of there, here it was.
My internet is being horribly slow to the point where it's barely functional, so I wasn't planning on posting. But hey ho here you are. And now I'm a bit late lmao *flies off fast*

Tobias’ Gala – Ground Floor (Dance Hall)
"It's the boys! It's always the boys! Damn pigs did everything!"

"-Hey!" Syed protested, about to turn to her when she suddenly shoved him right into Dylan. Unfortunately, Syed still towered over Dylan as much as pretty much anyone else, so he ended up with Dylan's shoulder driving into his upper arm. Ow!

"Yer what?! Yeah, they fuck everythin' up!" Moira bellowed. "Who needs 'em! All this kids needing two parents bullshit, what a load of crap!" She pointed towards the pair, although her hand sort of drifted as she swayed to the side. "Which one was it?!"

"Nobody stole your drink, Moira," Syed said sternly, crossing his arms. To be honest, he didn't see Amy take it either, he was too busy looking to Lucien at the time. As far as he was concerned... "you probably just dropped it or something."

"I dropped it?! You fuckin' shittin' me?! LIKE FUCK WOULD I DROP A DRINK!" She seized him by his tie and pulled him towards herself. Oh, how convenient ties were. Convenient grabbing areas that is. It only took her a couple of seconds - during which she was oblivious that her hold on his tie was choking him - before she released him in disgust. Was he fucking sober?! At a party?! Urgh! She turned to Dylan instead. "So it was you!" She pointed at him again, "Guilty!"

"I doubt Dylan had it either!" Syed had turned to Amy, a hand rubbing at his neck. She still wore that impish grin, as much as she hid it behind her glass. Well, she looked guilty as hell with a face like that. Part of him was annoyed with her - that she would try and put the blame on them, that even after all this time she was just as hateful towards men as ever. Despite all this... he couldn't help his expression from softening.

She looked like she was having fun. And Amy... Amy rarely really did. At least, not as obviously as this. And usually when she did, it did involve a large amount of alcohol like this. He knew she liked to laugh... it was just a shame she never really seemed to find a reason to do so. And that... that was quite the sad thought.

"No wonder Trixie's such a prankster," he said softly with a crooked smile, shoving his hands awkwardly into his pockets. After all, Amy was quite the trickster herself.
Okay Pach's hint is way better than anything I could give you hahahaha! That's what you're getting then :P

I think setting yourself on fire is probably on Moira's criteria for what makes a good night. And omg that video lmao! Idk man Carlton has a bit too much rhythm for Sy. Even so he has probably done that a few times before in his teens. And probably will again. What a daft twat.

Rose is turning out to be a right sweetheart, huh?

I can't get over Fox's avatar. Seriously I can't get over it every time I see it I get the biggest grin on my face omg. Did you commission it, or...?
Well when you put it that way, you're right, haha! We can build with what we've got instead for now :)

And woo! To be honest, I don't think it'd be a huge spoiler if I say what my idea was. It's like, two words. I basically just suggested it, said why I thought it fit the setting and Pach pretty much ran with it. So most of it is him. But if people want to know what I suggested, I don't mind saying. But if people want it to be a suprise, I'll keep schtum. Whatever you guys like. It'll be fun though, which let's face it is pretty much my thing when it comes to ideas. lolololololololol

I've never watched (or read) Sweeny Todd, but I have heard a lot about it. Bluh bluh bluh never liked going hairdressers ;_;

And no gif is large enough to encompass the magnificence which is Moira's twerking butt. I'm sorry.
