Good luck with the map! I've had a play with a couple of generators too, not having much luck with it. It's hard, you end up a lot of the time with most if not all of the landmasses connected together :(

And yeah, yesterday my internet was broken too lmao. It only came back up at what, 10pm? It's why I didn't post in the OOC, I was up far too late writing my IC as a result. This is why I no longer post Tuesday nights aaaaaaaaaaa

I had the Sims to keep me company lolololololol

I... actually really love that song too, and I'm not even all that big on female vocalists haha! Wow.

"Woo!" Moira cheered in response to Xan's mini prep-talk, although she immediately regretted it when her voice bounced loudly around the room. Gods damnit fuck...

Only for the girl to then also offer her her own drink. Moira stopped, staring at her like she had grown an extra head. Even Syed stopped what he was doing, looking up at her as well. Although he looked less shocked and more impressed. "Haha, you don't have to do that, Xan."

"Uh..." Moira said slowly, somewhat taken aback by the sudden act of generosity. "Uh... alright then." Sure, hot chocolate was pretty low down in list of preferred beverages. But it was still on there, and the offer was nothing to sniff at. She took the glass, her fingers accidentally brushing against Xan's prosthetic. "Ey, we can still share. I ain't got any diseases last I checked," she waved the cup back in Xan's direction, very nearly slopping it across the wonderful gleaming floorboards and plush, luxurious rugs.

Syed sighed to himself. He was overthinking the situation with the thief, getting himself worked up over the possibilities and clouding his own judgement. They knew nothing, and calling out what-ifs wasn't helping at all. Hell, even Xan had changed the subject, and she seemed similar to him in that regards. Well, it's better late than never.

"You know, Xan," he sat up straight without realising he was doing it, "you never talk about yourself much. Not that it's a bad thing. I guess we've just never really had much of a chance to talk."

"Yeah, like what happened to your arm," Moira suggested bluntly. Although her tone was less suggestive and more as a statement.

There was a sharp crack as Syed whipped his head to glare at her, a small arc of electricity jumping from his temples. What kind of invasive question was that?! And from Moira of all people, she should really know better. Although knowing her, she probably just didn't care. "I was going to ask her what books she likes," he hissed.

"We're all thinking it!" Moira protested, gesturing towards Marcus somewhat unfairly. "Can you take your metal arm off and slap people with it?"

"Moira!"

Syed continued to read as Marcus explained Fenaru, intent on finishing what he had started. He was nearly there now! Still, he couldn't help but smile a little at the memories. Even if Moira nearly got her Guilder's license revoked, even if they ended up chasing the wrong suspect. Even if the wrong suspect turned out to be one of Moira's brothers, which resulted in Moira cutting contact with him entirely.

In fact, Moira's body language said it all. She was trying her hardest to hide it, and to be fair she was particularly skilled at that. But as much as her expression remained neutral, her fists clenched tightly before her. The relationships which break into the most pieces are often the ones which were closest before.

"You know what we're all like by now, Xan," he grinned. They did always seem to find themselves in bizarre situations after all. "But yeah, it is understandable. It really is." His smile faded for a moment. No, he had never experianced anything even close to the level of discrimination the nekkomimis faced on a daily basis. But he could relate all the same.

“Unfortunately they managed to get away…” Marcus continued. “But the Masked Phantom? Him, we’ll catch.”

"...Hopefully," Syed sounded less than optimistic, which was a suprise to absolutely nobody. "Well, I'm guessing everyone and their dog will be there. Guilders, soldiers, the lot. Why would he want so many people there? There's arrogance, and then there's... that. There's got to be more to it, surely? Like..." He folded another paper up and rested his chin on his hand again, looking blankly into the middle distance in thought. "It's like hiding in a crowd, I guess. The more people who are there, the easier it is to hide. Maybe? Urgh!" He clenched his fingers in his hair, letting his head drop to the table in his fustration.

"Blaaaaaargh... course we'll catch the git," Moira finally mumbled. Over the course of the last couple of minutes she had rested her head against the surface of the table, feeling relieved at how cool it was against her skin. "Fuck this... is there any staff about? I need coffee. Or juice. Or both. Not together." There was a pause. "...Actually, I'd have them together thinkin' about it."
*dodges eye stabbing*

Woooo yeah this RP continues to be an absolute beast lmao. Thank you all for the brilliantly fun journey, and here's for it to continue onwards! May our path be filled with lots of food pics and fuzzy animal pics and probably creepypastas but to be honest I can pass on the creepypastas lmao.

Thanks again for creating such a fun and solid RP, Pach. And yeah thanks everyone else for the work they've done building on it. Thanks to everyone lololol!

"Good morning. Anything interesting on the news?"

Moira turned lazily towards Xan, stretching her arms up into the air as her partner gave her his own greeting. "Mornin'. This ain't news love, it's history," she complained, now clutching at her painful head. Of course, she wasn't helping Syed at all. Screw that. He liked researching and studying and being fustrated and shit anyway, may as well leave him to it. "Don't bother lookin' for any interestin' stuff, there ain't any," she warned the metallurgist. "It's all stuffy old books."

Almost as if on cue, Marcus arrived. Syed accepted his offer for help quite gladly, and soon the two were flicking carefully through the pages as to not risk a tear. The room descended once more into silence. To be honest, Moira was quite thankful. She had a banging headache of her own. For once, she wasn't going to resist a trip to some nice quiet library all that much... even if it was boring as hell. She soon found herself jealously eyeing up Marcus' coffee though. Shit! She knew she forgot something on the way up!

Syed simply cocked his head towards Moira in response to Marcus' question as he continued to peruse the articles. Well, he certainly hadn't, but.... "I dunno, might have," she shrugged. She now pressed her palms onto her face, pushing into her eye sockets a little. "There's been talk at the Guild for a long time of some really flashy showy thief nobody could catch, but nobody knew fuck all about the guy. Some people didn't even really believe it." She sunk further into her chair, her voice lowering as she lost all motivation to really continue explaining. "Could be him I guess."

“He was quite the… individual, wasn’t he?" Marcus stroked his chin. "I wonder what it is he intends to steal…?”

"That's what I was hoping to get some clues on," Syed finally spoke, closing his paper and neatly folding it back away. "I figured if we could find some record of anything he might have stolen in the past, we might be able to find a pattern." He sighed, running his hand through his now semi-damp hair. It stood up on end like a cockatoo. "But there's nothing here at all. You'd think a guy like this would be reported on, you know? Front page kind of news kind of deal."

He rested his angular jaw against his palm, frowning a little as he picked up yet another paper. "Yet it all seemed so professional. It's like you said Xan, like a piece of cake." he looked up to Xan, his expression pleading for whatever insight she might have in the matter. "I'm pretty lost, to be honest. It's like Fenaru all over again."
And I posted! Thanks guys! You really didn't have to do that, but I appreciate it all the same :)

Now I gotta run fast lmao, I hope everyone has a really fantastic day!

And I'm sorry I didn't click any of the videos in the last page bar the Suckerpunch one (love that song), just because I have a rule that if the video thumbnail looks creepy or gross I make a habit of not clicking it lol sorry D:

"Excuse me?"

A girl in a crisp black and white uniform turned towards the bound pair, before giving them a quick curtesy. "Hello sir. Have we ran out of towels?"

Syed looked confused for a moment, before he lifted a hand to his soggy hair. Both he - and Moira who stood somewhat disinterested next to him - had just finished showering themselves. After all Moira was as much an early riser as ever much to his dismay, and they had done their training already. "Oh! No. No, there were plenty, thank you. What I was wondering though was if you had any newspapers?"

"I believe we'll have a copy of today's paper in the kitchen."

"Ah..." Syed fiddled with his fingers, the dissapointment clear on his features. Even then, that was to be expected. It was a bit of a stretch. "I see. Thank you anyway," he smiled with a shrug. He turned to Moira, cocking his head down the corridor. "It was worth a shot, right?"

"Wait... did you want old papers?" The maid clasped her hands loosely by her waist, looking towards the pair curiously. "Is this for the Masked Phantom?" Upon recieving a nod in response, she bit her lip as she considered the options. "Our butler has a habit of collecting papers. I could ask him if he'll allow you to look through them?"
La Mansión de Cervántes - Library
Moira leaned back in her chair, munching on her cheese on toast as she went. The house had a decent sized library, it was just a shame she couldn't find any of her kind of book among the shelves. Why other people were so unwilling to leave adult material around when their children were involved, she didn't know. It never did Sonny any harm. Not to mention how Angel seemed like the kind of guy who had his own stash anyway.

Syed sat next to her at the table, pouring over the papers which sat in front of him. The butler actually had a fairly large collection, around 4 or 5 months worth of papers. Unfortunately they were arranged in date order so he was having to sift through the lot.

Still, if they could find out some more details about the previous thefts, that would help, right?
If you guys are calling then I'll have to miss this round I'm afraid! I had half an hour to write and post which is cutting it pretty damn tight for me anyway, and yeah lol it's cool.

Since it looks like 6-10am BST is becoming fully booked, it looks like I'm going to be missing my Tuesday night/Wednesday morning posts now for the forseeable future. Damnnnnnn lol
Jay will probably only be annoying to the ladies, he's pretty chill with anyone else. Fabian might... grate on him a little too though. He'll probably refuse to harm women I reckon, thinks he's chivalrous but really that's just kind of sexist. Speaking of, I'm not entirely sure what to have his skill be. Possibly a sleight-of-hand kind of dealy, or a pickpocket? Hmm...

Plus looking at Francesca's bio, yep, it's confirmed. FRANCESCA-CHWAAAAAAAAAAN! And I can already sort of see why he'd follow Gabriel and be loyal as hell to the guy.

Miffy sounds like he would get on famously with Syed if they weren't on opposing sides, what with the kind and gentle personality and fondness of kids. Reminds me a bit actually of one of my secondary schools, cause my bestie (who is Syed's build, funnily enough) back then was friends with this huge quiet guy who spent his lunch breaks lifting logs from the woods which surrounded the school. Sometimes we'd have stick-sword fights but he'll come along with half a bloody tree and we'd be like ARGH NOPE.

La Mansión de Cervántes
Syed straightened back up from similarly placing his shoes by the door, managing to avoid Moira flinging hers into the pile. His eyes were locked, transfixed on a portrait which hung in the entranceway. It depicted both Rose and Angel of course, along with a man in full a high-ranking military uniform. Ohhhhh crap.

"Is that your dad?" he asked aloud after a quick thank-you for allowing them to stay. He... he wasn't home, was he? The last thing he wanted was to be recognised - the resemblance between him and his own military family was very much there after all.

Amy soon pretty much passed out on one of the sofas in the living room. Syed pulled a bit of a face as he watched her pretty much sprawled, before his jaw set. Okay. Yeah. "We'll sleep in here too," he muttered to Moira. "I don't want to leave her on her own." While it was reasonable to assume that this place was safe, especially with it's military connection, they had been in far too many situations where... they weren't. In fancy manors like this one, when they had drunk too much like both Amy and Moira had... he really, really didn't want a repeat of the Los Paraisos fiasco.

Moira just yawned loudly, feeling increasingly uncomfortable with the continued grandeur Aliquam offered. She was too tired and too drunk to really care where she was sleeping right now. "Urgh, that guy was fuckin' full of himself," she grumbled in response to Trixie, her hands clenching into fists. She hated being messed with. Why did all these people keep doing it?! "About time he got knocked down a peg or two."

She then thought for a moment, and you could almost see the cogs slowly moving in her head. "Ain't the most important thing gonna be what he's gonna rob?" she asked very slowly, the effort quite plain in her voice. "I mean, he said the most expensive thing, right?"

She sighed, putting her arms behind her head. "It'll have to be somethin' he could carry, and he didn't look that strong. Unless he's a fuckin' mage on top of everything. Maybe a painting or something, that shit is worth tonnes if you got the right connections. I knew a guy who could flog them for rediculous money."

Syed gave her a particularly stern look. How she remained a guilder for as long as she did before she joined the Pride, he'll never know.
