Phillis Circus - OutskirtsPoppy came to a stop, blinking with mild curiosity as the smoke billowed around them. Oh. That was interesting. Of course, Stevie and Lily were unfazed by it - the girl was right about them being cool. But for Poppy, it was a nusiance. She had no fancy visor, unfortunately. One day, maybe.
She sighed. "How awkward." Oh well. She stood on tiptoes, then began to move through the murk.
"Oomph!"The hands rolled from the impact, their fingers tensing from the blow. However just as Trixie rolled onto her back they both rolled onto their palms, before standing on the tips of their fingers. They both paused for a moment, almost comically rotating slightly with shifting fingers until they determined what direction to go. And with that, they both shot straight for her, scuttling across the floor like creepy insects.
BLAM BLAM BLAM!
They faced a barrage of bullets from the backpeddling prankster, although they scuttled on regardless just barely in her vision through the fog. They didn't make any move to dodge the bullets, managing to avoid most of them by virtue of their small size and fast movements. Finally one jumped towards Trixie's face. BLAM!
The hand was thrown back once more by the force of the bullet, rolling out of sight. Meanwhile the other continued across the floor, feeling out with it's fingertips before latching onto Trixie's leg and beginning to climb...
Phillis CircusHe didn't want to move again. He'd be perfectly happy to just sleep here, thank you very much. Nice and safe on the ground, where he belonged. Even if he was now lying in a wreckage not sure what way was up anymore. He nearly died. He was suprised his heart was still going just from the shock. He hurt so much it was a wonder he wasn't dead now. He had done his best to cushion the impact for himself, and really that was the only reason he was still concious.
He could hear voices. He could feel the wreckage move. Please stop moving.
"Sy... urgh..."
A piece of the rubble pushed to one side, and Syed recoiled a little as the fresh air hit him once more. He looked up from behind his hands to find Moira standing over him - pale and bloody, her knuckles white on the grip of a metal pole... and her eyes betraying her rage. And yet...

"Ain't gonna be able to get a guy who can do that kind of shit on my own."
He blinked a couple of times, his gaze almost probing her. Moira... was actually asking for his help before jumping in? How? How could he do anything? This man wasn't even attacking him and nearly killed him anyway! And yet...
He staggered back up to his feet, leaning heavily on Moira as he did so. This man claimed them to be murderers, yet he was very quick to show them how capable of it he was himself. And if he was going to act with the same hostility to the others... to inflict blows of that magnitude to the others... he swallowed his pain to the best of his ability. "Okay," he said simply, his voice hoarse. "I'll... I'll do my best..."
"OI!" Moira bellowed. She held the pole out above her head, before sweeping it down in the direction of Max's retreating back. "I don't know what the fuck you're on about. Killers? What the fuck has that come from? What about your creepy stalker shit you got going on?!" she swept the pole to one side, before wiping her mouth with her other hand. Blood smeared. Syed took a couple of steps back, his fingers poised to act in a split-second's notice. He was going to have to cast faster than he had ever cast in his life... it was a good thing his mind was still sharp, abeit shaken.
A vicious grin spread across Moira's features. "Either way... we ain't had our turn yet."
