Los Paraisos: The Flying Albatross
“Oh my gods it’s Thunderjerk!!!”

"WHAT?!" Moira nearly screamed, casting her gaze around. Where? Where?!

A particularly displeased look crossed Syed's face, despite his best efforts to look at least neutral. Oh yeah, there he was. Sat with the two women. Well, this was Thunderhawk. He couldn't be here for pleasure, surely? His usual outfit certainly implied it was work-related, but with the women dressed as they were it was hard to tell for sure.

Oh well, Thunderhawk was a collegue he supposed, and it wouldn't be good to set a bad first impression to the other two. May as well at least try and be proffessional about it-

"Oh, so here you are!" Moira exclaimed upon the sight of who Lisette was talking to, before striding towards Thunderhawk aggressively. Syed as always was forced to follow her as he felt a sharp pull in his chest, glancing back towards the others with worry as he raised his hands. Oh noooo if she got them into trouble! "Looks like you've been having fun since you fuckin' abandoned us without a word."

Coming to a stop just before him, her glare bored into his eyes, her fists clenched at her sides. Lisette looked a little startled by how angry she was. Ooooh, she wanted to deck him. She wanted to deck him so badly! He was a lot of fun to go out and hit the town with, an expert at all things alcohol related to the most astonishing degree. To leave them without even telling them he was doing so, it was...

...Pretty much the same thing Estelle did. Well, kinda. Estelle did it because she was scared, but she had no idea with Thunderhawk. He wasn't the most popular member of the group sure, but to leave without a word? It was cowardly. At least Estelle apologised for that. But to hit Thunderhawk for the same thing she forgave Estelle for, risking getting them thrown out of the restaurant in the process?

"Gods damnit," she muttered, dropping her arms to her sides. What was this group even doing to her? Couple of months back and she would be in the middle of a brawl right now.

She turned to the bar and sat on a stool instead, holding her head in her hands. "Get me the strongest thing you got," she mumbled to the man staffing the bar. "Before I hit somethin'."

Syed was left staring wide eyed, his hands still slightly raised before him. Oh uh... huh. Slowly, he lowered his guard.

Then he turned his attention fully to the two women. Dylan had gotten there first, thankfully. "Good to meet you," he added with an awkward wave.
Ahhh no this is only some edits looking at it. I'll have my newly edited post up in a few, haha!

And to be honest I can't moan too much since yeah I never call my posts. I just don't want to keep you guys waiting hours since my attention span is that bad!
Damnit but I have a post all done! I actually started it before Danni but since I take so long I never call my posts haha! How long will you be Tae?
Pachamac said owo @ Valentine's day arts. Buns! We need linkage of the art you did for last Valentine's Day!

No. That art can burn in hell for how awful it is. Every time I see it I want to vomit in shame. I go off my art really, really fast. I hate seeing my old pictures haha.

D: @ super early class.

:D @ rpg finally being up again
Yeah I can't wait til Sunday. I was at work for 11 hours today, on my feet non-stop. I'm about dead! I'm gonna pass out now so I can look forward to more great posts in the morning hahahaha!

Los Paraisos: Bus stop
"Wait, water park? Syed? Arentcha the sparkmeister though? Wouldn't that just zap everyone senseless like in the comics?"

At first, a look of slightly confused amusement crossed the mage's face, before he ended up giving in to full on laughter. "What?" he laughed, as Moira gave him a bit of a scathing look. It really was impossible for her to look cool when stuck with this dork. She made a deep sigh as he winked at Trixie. "Well, I guess we'll have to see when we get there, won't we?"

Moira couldn't keep annoyed for long though. She spent much of the bus tour with her face pressed against the glass - thankfully cool in contrast to the heat in the air. All these bars, these restaurants, these casinos... it was like a dream. She still couldn't believe they were actually here. The hotels stretching up and into the bright blue sky like shards of glass. Even the people here seemed perfect, with designer clothing and bronzed skin and immaculate hair which simultaniously seemed effortless. They reminded her a little of Selan, in a way, although Selan looked less false. Especially today, when she was a little less polished than usual.

Moira wanted to try everything. She wanted to eat out at these posh restaurants, she wanted to gamble at least a little, she wanted to go on the biggest, scariest rollercoaster the park offered so she could scoff about it. She wanted to get a massage and a facial and one of those relaxation things people with lots of money go on. Without skipping a beat, she turned to the others. "We gotta go for a girly day out," she grinned with her eyes a little wider than normal, which was about as excited as Moira could look if it didn't involve some form of weaponry. A pretty terrifying look all in all if it weren't for her shades.

Syed paid close attention to the guide throughout, doing his best to remember as much of the overwhelming information as he could. Well, mostly. All that went to pot as soon as he saw the giant screen, scrambling up, over Moira (to her upmost and very vocal dismay) and leaning out of the window to get a better look. Ignoring how the breeze from the moving bus buffetted his hair across his face, he was yammering on about whatever so fast that his words merged together into a mangled mess. How did they do it? How did they do it??? He was so excited he seemed to forget everyone else was there. Thank the gods they announced the bus was stopping shortly after.

And then the bus was gone again. Well, they seemed eager to leave.

"Did… anyone catch if that guy mentioned that Alba-whatsit?”

Moira shrugged. "Weren't really payin' attention to the details," she said casually. She couldn't remember the name of the restaurant either, but whatever. She thumped her partner's arm to tear his attention away from that bloody screen. "OI! Did that guy say where we're going?"

Syed blinked a couple of times before his eyebrows lowered a little. "What was it again?" he glanced over to Marcus. "Flying Albatross? Right. Yeah." He pulled a face as he concentrated. If he asked really nicely, maybe that hotel could let him- NOPE NOPE CONCENTRATE! "...Yeah, he definately did, right near the end of the ride I think..." He shifted his weight and scratched at his head. "I... didn't really catch where it was though." Probably because seconds later he had his head stuck out the window like a dog.
Haha yeah Danni you're right, writing is art. Painting with words I guess! And bloody hell you blew me away with that post describing Dylan's painting. I could picture it so well haha!

URGH everyone's art hahahahahahaha! I love it all. I love the energy Rex's stuff has, I love how detailed Kathi's art is, I love how cute Pandy's art is, and yeah Pach knows how much I love his stuff and his eye for pretty much everything. He'll help me out with my pictures actually, I'll send him stuff and he'll give me some crits to help me make it better. It's great.

Dude the sprites are so old though, they don't even have Dylan in them. And are kind of ripped off something which is ripped off something which is ripped off something else. Woo! I should probably put the newer characters in them at some point but URGH EFFORT.

Los Paraisos: Docks
"It's even better than the pictures..."

Moira stared open mouthed at the resort which laid before them. To visit here... it was a dream of hers since she was small. From the day when one of her many siblings brought home a crumpled up, dirty leaflet from some trash in the city. The leaflet was hidden under one of her sisters' beds, to be taken out and admired whenever any of them felt the desire to dream big and take their minds off what life was like. This place... it was a physical representation of success in life. As she grew older she ended up giving up on it. Someone like her doesn't visit Los Paraisos. They just don't.

Yet here they were.

She had done her best to look the part, wearing a floaty-fabric maxi dress, strappy heels, huge shades and a massive, floppy hat over her head. Oh yeah. She looked glamourous. She may as well make the bloody most of it. They wouldn't know she found most of the outfit desperately rooting around as many thrift-stores as she could find back in Tagress.

What ruined the look was the fact that she was pretty sunburnt from their picnic the other day. The black and white stiped print on her dress only served to make her painful, blotchy red skin look even more obvious. The smell of aftersun and suncream radiated off her almost like a thick fog. The huge hat was mainly to prevent the burn from getting worse.

Syed stepped next to her, dressed in a much more simple combination of a short-sleeved white shirt, slim-fit trousers and some plain sandals. Just stuff he owned already. He didn't have the same feelings of the place as she did, if anything feeling slightly overwhelmed. This place was so glamourous, so... expensive! Not the sort of place he thought he'd find himself in a million years. It intimidated him really.

Still, this was pretty much a once in a lifetime opportunity. May as well make the most of it. As long as Moira didn't cock it up like the last holiday she went on.

Shrugging his bag over his shoulder, he moved to follow Estelle and Marcus. Although unlike Estelle, he was in no rush. Moira started walking too, her bag bulging with her new set of armour. The old set had been pretty much destroyed after all. Along with her massive greatsword as ever strapped to her back, she looked a little odd.

“So what are you guys thinking?" Dylan addressed the group as he walked slightly ahead of them, walking backwards. "Water park or beach?”

"What, after the meeting point?" Syed brought his finger to his lips in thought. "Depends on what they say I guess. Water park sounds fun though."

"No screw that," Moira countered. "Why the fuck would I want to go to some shitty water park?! Can't swim, remember?"

Syed sighed. How could he forget.

Tagress: Park
Syed recovered from his wide-eyed panic soon enough once the bear had vanished. Lucien, Trixie and Nikki all took turns to blame anyone other than themselves, which caused him to raise his eyebrows and lower his head slightly in what was one hell of an incredulous expression. It was the sort of look which could cause small children to falter and suddenly feel very guilty indeed.

However Amy soon started laughing, barely able to keep herself upright. He couldn't help himself from giving in too, his nose wrinking a little as he laughed. It was pretty funny. It all was really, once they got over the shock that Moira nearly got mauled by a bear. Although she probably would have mauled it back given half a chance.

Moira just huffed with her arms crossed. She had sat herself up almost immediately after the bear had gotten off her, ready to stand up if she needed to. But then the bloody thing just ate all the food and up and vanished! It was a good job she ate before they came out. Bears! Who needed them! They're all the same, eating your shit then leaving you.

“What on Ddaear is all this racket…? Oh. It’s you guys.”

Syed stopped laughing quite suddenly as soon as he heard that familiar voice - which was probably for the best considering the laughing was starting to hurt quite a bit. He hurriedly sat up as straight as he could, watching Tiberius with a little trepidation. Should he stand up? He felt like he should stand up.

He stood up.

Moira glared at the offered hand for a moment. She was still mad at him for ratting her out, especially since it resulted in her getting a shot. Nothing was even broken! Except her dignity, maybe. Not that she had much of that anyway. Still, she took it in the end anyway, allowing Tiberius to pull her up to her feet seemingly effortlessly.

"Oh, nothing at all. A bear ate our food. Food you paid for! A bear!" Dylan explained before going off to the second basket.

"Yeah, I was wrestling it," Moira added with a dismissive wave of her hand. "You know, like old times."
