Thaum: The Azure Sea
The sudden sound of a wedding march burst out of nowhere, and Syed couldn't help but give out a suprised yelp, flush spectacularly and practically throw his cutlery back at his plate. Oh Vayu oh Vayu oh Vayu what the hell was going on?! His eyes much like the others cast about, but seeing the others looking just as confused as he was he calmed down a little again. It's ok, he wasn't going insane yet.

Which was more than could be said for the newcomer, who was shouting at... something. Well, this Lute was certainly something else. He opened his mouth to ask if he was okay, only to find that Atlas had it sorted. Alright then. Let's pretend that didn't happen for now.

He turned his eyes back to the doctor as he continued his explanation. He as always tried to absorb as much information as he could, since he had to do it for two people. Without really thinking about it he picked his fork up again, only to realise...

His food was gone. He was too slow. Welp. Well, he kept his attention on Dr Dream anyway.

The culprit sat beside him, groaning as she pressed her head against the table. She already had two empty glasses of wine beside her, and a third half-full. "Fuck me..." Moira grumbled. "We ain't even started and I have no fuckin' idea what's going on." With the randomass song and the guy shouting at thin air... she was so confused.

She moved her head a little, so she had her chin resting on the table as her arms hung by her sides. The food was definately good, and she might have to get a bit more in a minute. With her eyebrows lowered in her trademark grumpy scowl, she looked even more bear-ish than usual. She wasn't paying any attention once more, her mind drifting away with the thought of beefy men and lamenting the lack of any's presence. Moira Dennis, the professional.

Syed froze staring at the cooked blobfish. Why was he empathising with it so much?! He was pretty glad he didn't have a front view of it. Why did the restaurant serve it whole?! Was it supposed to be served whole?! No he wasn't going to try it!

Then Aria turned it away from Lute... so it was towards him instead. Small sparks started to jump from his temples in his discomfort. The way it stared up at them with those dead, despairing eyes... it had been well pretty miserably sat on the bottom of it's tank mere moments ago. He knew fully well that you should never waste food - a waste of both life and money, his mother would say. But even then... "Why..." Syed breathed. "Lucien, why would you... why did you even..."

Once more a sudden sound came out of seemingly nowhere, this time some rock and roll number. Okay, that was definately coming from Lute. Syed tore his gaze away from the fish and tilted his head slightly with a little curiosity.

Unfortunately for him, the music had shaken his partner out of her daydream. And doubly unfortunately, she had just heard the magic word - coliseum.

"A WHAT?!" she bellowed quite suddenly, her chair clattering away behind her as she slammed her palms onto the table. The various bits and pieces jumped, the misery fish coming off it's plate altogether and rolling down the table. "A coili... a colli... one of those fight club things?! This place has one of those?!"

Stars appeared in her eyes, and she clenched her fists up in the air with zeal. "YES!" she yelled, her voice echoing all over. "YEAH I'M SO IN ON THAT SHIT!" It was her lucky day - she had just been offered her oiled up beefy men fix on a silver platter, as far as she was concerned. She attempted to put a foot on the table, but found it quite uncomfortable thanks to her dimunitive height and gave up. "What we hanging around for?!"

Syed flushed yet again and sunk down in his seat, bringing his hand to his face. Oh, how fantastic.
You weren't holding anyone up Orpheus lmao! I know I was just a little writers blocky yesterday and couldn't thing of a reasonable way to end my post *shrug*

I've been loving everyone's setup so far! Aaaaaaaah I'm pretty excited I don't even know why lmao.

Thaum: The Azure Sea
"Syed, do you think it's...edible?"

Syed stepped as close to the tank as Moira would allow him, craning his neck. Unfortunately for him, she was too busy debating what kind of drinks the establishments might serve with Amy. She wasn't going anywhere. It left him in a bit of an awkward position where he was stranded around 4 or 5 feet from the tank, squinting his eyes as he tried to spot whatever Lucien was pointing at.

He squinted even harder when he just about caught sight of it. Even as it rested on the floor of the tank, it was fairly clear how the flesh seemed sort of... loose on it's somewhat disgusting pink and blobish body.

He burst out laughing. Whatever it was, it was one of the most bizarre, somewhat sorry looking things he'd ever seen. "What on Ddeaer is that?! It looks like an alien from some horrible toxic planet or something. An alien which has had a really bad day." With his dorky grin still plastered on his face, he turned back to Lucien. "Who knows, I guess it must be if it's in a restaurant. I wouldn't want to try it though. Or touch it. In case it isn't, you kn-AH!"

"Fuckin' finally!"

Moira surged straight for the newly arrived buffet carts, completely oblivious to how she was once more dragging her partner along behind her. She piled her plate sky high of course - as to be expected of her really. But not before she made sure to 'top up' Lisette's plate with some more of the vegetarian foods too, not paying any attention to any of the poor archer's protests. She was never going to get any guys with no weight on her, and since the girl insisted on eating like a rabbit she'd probably have to eat much more to make up for it. She gave her a wink and a "trust me, darling," before helping herself for her own dish.

And once they sat down, it seemed they were intent on talking business. Moira paid no real attention to it, since it mostly went over her head anyway. Something about dreams and a demon and the same stuff she didn't really pay any attention to back in Abatheo. Instead she simply wolfed down her meal and gulped down at her drink, allowing the others to discuss whatever. Which right now, seemed to be about some guy called screw it she forgot already. Okay. Whatever.

Syed meanwhile rested an elbow in the table, his mind working overtime. "You make it sound so simple..." he murmured, mostly to himself. He had all sort of questions running through his mind - mostly wheres and whens, since the hows and whys were the whole reason they were accompanying Dr Dream to his research in the first place. Then there was the research itself on top of that. However...

"Yeah, it's probably best if we waited til everyone is here," he agreed, pushing his food around his plate. The thought of the state these people were found in - a fate worse than death, if they didn't die from hunger or lack of sleep anyway - kind of put him off his food a little. And he didn't need any help with that to begin with.

He warily sniffed at the food on his fork, attempting and completely failing at being subtle about it. A bizarre sounding mission right from the get-go, but that was nothing particularly new for the Pride. Unfortunately.

Moira saw the opportunity and started stealing some of the food from his plate. And anybody else who was nearby and didn't guard their food well enough.
Fox's IC made me doodle this. Been in an arty mood I guess haha!

That order looks great to me, I wouldn't want to go any later if that's ok!
Oh hey I can actually meaningfully respond to a music convo for once!

Los Paraisos: Mercy Hospital - Recovery Ward
Well, the sound neither Moira nor Syed wanted to hear as soon as they reluctantly stepped into the recovery ward was constant, unnerving high pitched tone of the heartrate monitor. Not a beeping noise, like it was earlier. Like it should have been.

Of course, being Don of course it wasn't what it looked like. That guy had a habit of defying common sense to the point where it pretty much pooped all over the laws of nature.

Syed could only stare, standing up straight and wide eyed as he slowly wrapped his fingers around his pendant. He didn't know how to react at all. He was definately relieved, that was for sure. In fact the sensation of the sheer weight of his worry lifting from his shoulders made him feel a little giddy if anything. But then another part of him wanted to tell the man to stop right this instant or so help him. "He should be resting," he fretted, running his fingers through his hair. "He shouldn't be up...!"

Still, there was little he could do. He sighed and turned away from the window instead and allowed himself to slide down one of the walls. Closing his eyes, he allowed a somewhat goofy smile to spread across his face. Watching Don made him anxious about his health, but he was happy with just listening. Don had always been good at putting on a show, and it seemed his bros were just the same.

Before he knew it, he was genuinely laughing quietly to himself. It felt good to just let go of his worries for once.

Moira, on the other hand...

"WHAT THE FUCK?!" she screached, throwing her arms in the air. "You don't- was he putting it on or some shit?! You don't just get up from that! Just look at him! Just... just look at him!"

Her eyes flicked to the other members of the pride, trying to gauge their reactions. What... what... what?!

“What did I say? Didn’t I say it? SUPERBROS NEVER DIE!!!!"

"Oh fucking hell..." she grumbled as she slapped her forehead. "I'm way too sober for this kind of shit. Fuck it."

How dare he make her worry. How dare he. Fists clenched and nostrils flaring, she stepped away from the window. She was so confused about pretty much everything, and she hated it.
Sorry for the huge post, I had a lot to write about I guess haha! Still, I made myself laugh a couple of times writing it (isn't hard tbh) so I hope it does for you guys too.

Los Paraisos: Safe House
"Urgh! Is that it?"

Moira dumped two massive, heavy boxes on the floor of the small appartment. Most people would struggle to carry one on their own, and she had been carrying one on each shoulder. Not that it really bothered her at all.

"Yes, just those and... yes that one." The petite blonde grasped at her bandaged wrists nervously as Syed placed the much smaller, lighter box on top of the others. Her eyes were constantly locked onto him, watching his every movement warily. Her gaze would only shift when he turned to look directly at her, stepping back as she did so. She couldn't help it.

And Syed was acutely aware of it. He brought his arms around himself self-conciously, letting his eyes unfocus a little as his thoughts drifted. He wanted to try and calm her, but his presence alone put paid to that. He was only really here since Moira's strength was needed to help her move in.

"Um... thank you. And your friends. For everything." The woman said somewhat quietly, biting at her lip. "I... uh..."

"You don't need to thank us," Syed smiled gently as he looked around the room. Nothing but boxes right now, but at least it was safe. "You've got the details for if you want to contact anyone, right?" She nodded. "Remember they're there even if you just want to talk."

She nodded again. "Yes, I have them. Thank you..."

"Well, we'll be off then," Moira waved, turning back to the door. "I got a massive fuckoff headache right now, you know. Feels like my eyeballs are gonna fall out." She'd never admit that it might be partly fueled by alcohol withdrawal. She wasn't touching any more of the poison they passed for alcohol here. Moving on to another place couldn't come fast enough.

"Oh!" The girl nervously fidgeted some more. "Before you go... your friend. He'll... be fine, won't he?"

"Don?" Syed cringed, hunching over a little as he looked out the window. His heart sank at the mention of it. He wanted to believe he'd be fine, he really did. He wished he'd recover and be back to his old self more than anything. But... "we're all praying for him. It's still very touch and go last I heard. He's the sort of guy who doesn't give up, so he's been clinging on so far..."

"He'll be fine," Moira said dismissively with a wave of her hand. "He's too stupid to die. You know how they say don't go into the light and all that? He'd probably get lost trying and end up back with us anyway."

"Moira."

"Well, I'll pray for him too. The more people who do the more likely he'll hear, right?" The girl forced a smile gave them a little bow. "Anyway, I have a lot to do, so I'll get moving. Again, thank you." She gave them both another awkward half-nod before closing the door. They could hear the sound of bolts moving shortly after.

"Poor girl," Moira muttered, before heading off to the stairs. "Shit like that don't heal so well."

"I don't think it heals at all..." Syed murmured, shoving his hands in his pockets. He looked pretty upset himself, avoiding looking at Moira completely. She stared at the back of his head for a moment before giving out a loud sigh and following. The pair said nothing more for the rest of the journey to the ground floor. It wasn't until the pair stepped out into the hot sunshine when Moira finally slapped Syed square on the back, causing him to cough and splutter.

"Stop beating yourself up. This ain't the same. You ain't like all the bastards who messed... whatever her name was up."

"Charlotte."

"Yeah, that."

Syed hugged himself again. It took him a moment to finally speak again. "I... really upset Amy though. You didn't see the look she gave me when we woke up. She looked at me like..." he swallowed, taking a deep breath as he looked up to the sky. "It feels like I'm just the same as them. I hurt her, and just because I was too drunk to know what I was doing doesn't excuse it. And I know the day before we were actually getting on pretty well, and just like that I've destroyed everything. Like bloody always."

"Oi! I told you to stop feeling sorry for yourself!" Moira thumped his arm, and he groaned and held it like it was going to fall off or something. "It was an accident. Accidents happen, especially when you get that drunk, and you aren't the only one to blame here." She put her hands behind her head. "I don't think you two would have done anything anyway. I mean, I was there! If anything happened either you two would have been on the floor or I wouldn't have had any clothes on."

"Oh gods Moira no stop I don't want to talk about this anymore," Syed suddenly exclaimed as he flushed furiously, waving his hands frantically about. "It's messed up enough already, and that's not even counting Lisette being in the room, I don't want thoughts like that on top."

"Well, yeah having someone her age in the room is kind of fucked up. But you gotta admit, Amy's some hot sh-"

"STOP IT!!!" And with that, Syed slapped his hands over his ears. He was done.

The Grande Diamond: Basement
It took a moment for Syed to risk releasing his hold on Moira, taking a couple of steps away from her. He wrapped his torn up hands around himself, looking back up to the floor above them. Where to start... where to start...

Then he felt another warm glow encompass his body. He looked around, finding himself suprised once more to find Amy clutching her glowing gem, muttering words he couldn't hear.

Syed averted his eyes again, feeling pretty awkward. He still didn't feel he really deserved her help, but she was right. "Thanks, Amy."

Amy moved on to Moira, who unfortunately had something else on her mind. Her face still contorted in fury, she could initially do nothing but stare blankly at the door the pair had left.

They weren't coming back.

"AAAAAAAAARGH!" she suddenly screamed, driving her fist into the ground and sending up a fresh plume of dust. Fuck them! Fuck the fucking fuck fuck fu-

BOOM.

Okay, this one was not coming from them for once. It reverberated throughout the whole building, coming somewhere above them. It wasn't in fact the first one, but thanks to their position in the basement the first few weren't as noticable.

BOOM.

Syed turned to look around to the others, wide eyed. "The others..." he muttered, staring with concern at Xan. "You don't think... it's that guy again do you? The weight guy?"

BOOM. This one was the loudest of all, practically explosive in volume.

Moira didn't wait, snatching the pipe back up and taking off towards the door. This time Syed didn't protest, gesturing towards the others to follow.

They ran down the corridor with Trixie as the fastest taking the lead. They finally found the stairs going up, a particularly steep and much less luxurious set than the ones upstairs. Yeah, this was definately supposed to be a staff area. They emerged from a discreet door in a corridor just off the practically obliterated main lobby.

Where were they supposed to go now? Both Moira and Syed looked somewhat desperately around for any sign of where the noise came from.

There! A hole at the end of a corridor, which looked like the doors had been torn right out of the frames. Now gasping for breath they scrambled forward, Moira's grip on her pipe tightening and Syed bringing his hands up and ready...

The pipe dropped to the floor.

There had been one hell of a fight in here by the looks of it. Syed's eyes immediately locked onto Estelle, his stomach knotting up in concern. Selan looked a wreck too, but he had no idea what had happened here. "Estelle! Are you okay, they didn't do..." he trailed off when he spotted Josette, leaning over one of the two unconcious men on the floor. He brought his hands to his mouth in horror at the sight of his wounds. "Oh Vayu...!"

Moira had her priorities straight.

"Ey, since when did Don have the fuckin' time to swap clothes with the stupid superhero guy?!"
Damn I'm not keen on vocaloid for the most part (I think the only one I really like is Just Be Friends) but that animation. THAT ANIMATION. If only I had the patience and attention span to do something like that :D
