Bugtanical Gardens?
"Oh and guys, look the rest of them are down there!" the moth's child-like voice rumbled, increadibly loud from Moira and Syed's perspective.

"Stop it!" Syed shouted, trying desperately to untangle himself from the net's webbing with little success. He reached out through the fibres, towards the rapidly retreating ground as the moth flew them away. He couldn't see the others. He couldn't see them no no no no NO!

It didn't work. As far as he was concerned, their distraction was a failiure. They had lucked out themselves in that a... using the word child seemed kind of wrong for the moth, but he supposed that was what it was. It didn't seem in a rush to kill them, unlike many of the others. The many others who were now crowding around where he presumed Don and Trixie still were.

If they were killed as a result of this... he wouldn't be able to ever forgive himself. They were their friends, they should be down there, they should be defending them! They still had to find the others! It couldn't... it couldn't end like this!

Moira was hardly sitting back during this either. She bellowed and shouted, screaming savagely like a trapped animal. However, unlike him she wasn't reaching out to the others. She was far too furious to even start thinking about that.

"LET ME AT YOU YOU FUCKIN' HAIRY PIECE OF SHIT!" she yelled, pulling and biting at the mesh in an attempt to break it. "YOU'RE GONNA BE RUNNING CRYING BACK TO THAT FUCKIN' AUNT OF YOURS!!!"

Bugtanical Gardens
A puff of smoke suddenly billowed ahead, the rest of the group were that much faster after all. As always Moira and Syed lagged behind, and Moira found herself becoming more and more fustrated. Why was she running?!

Suddenly Moira screached to a halt, digging her heels in the ground. Syed, who was slightly ahead of her at the time, was caught completely unawares and was suddenly brought to a stop. He clutched at his chest and gave out a shout in agony as he fell to the ground. Moira similarly couldn't help but flinch and stagger from the pain of their curse being pulled at so sharply, but at least she managed to stay standing.

"Moira...!" Syed gasped, trying to push himself back up as quickly as he could. "What are you-"

"Fuck this shit. I don't care anymore. Nobody fucks with me."

She clenched her fists, turning away from her partner and towards the insects which were already upon them. Her rage made her blood boil, and Syed could almost feel the heat from her even as he stood 6ft away. She didn't do running. She hated running. And running from a foe? No.

Suddenly she stepped to one side, one of the insects' gods damned hammers missing her just barely and smashing into the ground. The earth shook and cracked under the sheer force of it.

"Let's fuck them over back."

Syed could do nothing but gape. Sure, it would give the others a chance to maybe escape, but-! "You can't be seri- AAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

Moira had leapt forward, grabbing a hold of the hammer - just as the insect had began to lift it again. The pair were thrown high, high into the air, once more sending spasms of pain through both of their chests. Syed flailed as he tried to right himself, his eyes bulging at the ground getting further and further away... and more and more like how he was used to seeing it. Well, of the myriad of ways he pictured dying in this senario... falling to his death wasn't one of them.

Moira, on the other hand?

She brought back a fist, and punched the offending arsehole right in the eye. No matter how big the size difference was, the insect was going to feel that.

No time for fighting her arse. She was a Berserker after all.

Moira came to a stop, her chest heaving with every breath. Why were they bloody running again?! She wasn't sure. Oh wait, yeah, it was because they were being chased by fuckin titanic bugs and she didn't have her sword.

What. The. Fuck.

Meanwhile, Syed was staring blankly at the ground with wide eyes as he also tried to regain his breath. None of this made sense. None of it. The thing which to him made the most sense, of all things, was Don's outburst. "Maybe..." he muttered breathlessly, bringing his trembling hands to his arms. "Maybe this is pugatory or something..."

No, that didn't work either. He couldn't remember dying. The only thing he thought close was when fighting the fox thing, but... the fox thing made no sense either. Whatever this was, it had to be before that.

He pinched himself.

"Oh shut yer trap, we ain't dead," Moira growled to the others. She looked up towards where Trixie was gushing about a particularly nasty looking thing, it's goo or whatever melting everything it touched. Okay. She had no idea what this was about, but okay. Either way it didn't look friendly.

"Hey Superbro, can you do that thing where you pick us up and start running again?"

More goo dripped from the thing's maw as it loomed over them all. Moira barely had the time to reach forward and throw Trixie backwards by the scruff of her neck before the horrible acidic stuff splashed right where she stood. Syed quickly rushed to help Trixie up and ensure she didn't get any of the gunk splashed onto her.

"Runnin' ain't working, is it?!" she shouted. But... fighting won't work either, what with the amount of these bug things about. Would it? Would it?
I'm really not feeling it tonight, so I'll try and post first thing in the morning. So around the same time as I did this morning. Sorry about that guys!

Outside Thaum
Syed could do nothing but blink rapidly for a moment, as he lay there in the mud. It would almost be comfortable if it weren't for the sensation of being constantly slapped. He could hear shouting. He could hear screaming... wait, why was he lying down? He was doing something. They were-

Something suddenly wrapped itself around his leg, and before he had time to get up again he found himself being dragged backwards. Oh Vayu this felt nasty all round! He was picked right up off the ground, which was a bit of an impressive feat with his height, and found himself hanging upside down and looking right at a nightmareish twisted face of wood.

No. He liked when things made logical sense, thank you very much. His hands moved swiftly, his eyes darting to another branch as it shot at him to restrain him further. Too slow.

"Stop it!" He brought his hands down, his arms crossed across his abdomen, and the sheer light and noise emitted from the mass of electricity obscured him temporarily from view. At least, until he fell painfully back to the floor. "Oof!"

Still, he managed to scramble up fast enough. He looked back up, at the rediculous amount of fish descending from the skies...

He reached out. Feeling, sensing, listening. Trying not to let jellyfish distract him any. It was hard enough on a day which made sense. Still, after a brief moment he had got it. The bad weather might be a nusiance for the others, but for him? It was a boon.

BOOM! There was a brilliant flash of light, and he was struck.

He'd have to apologise to Selan later. Right now, he had to help Amy keep those bloody tree things off the others.

Moira meanwhile eyed up her greatsword and sucked through her teeth. Out of reach, and Dylan had up and run off without pulling it out the ground. Lovely. What could she do? She was a melee fighter, and the thing was still out of reach, the mud preventing her from getting closer all that fast. This was why she liked to be the one keeping the bad guy's attention. She didn't have the agility the others did.

What the fuck was with that huge black and white fish thing?!
I have a post written, can I throw it up fast? I don't have time to wait I'm afraid D:

[EDIT] I GOT PERMISSION ON SKYPE GIMME A TICK

[edit 2] Yah I got it up pretty quick, forgot to update this post to say so. Sorry about that! Late night shifts at work kick my arse. AND NOW I'M GOING BACK SEEYA LATER
Yeah I'm feeling better today. I think it might have been hayfever, but I'm not sure because I've never had it before. I just know we drove past loads of those rapeseed fields yesterday, and afterwards I felt awful.

And yeah keeping the posts small is tough haha! I've ended up reducing the window size on notepad and telling myself I'm not allowed to let the scroll bar appear. Today's post still left a little room at the bottom, so hopefully it sticks.

Also the music link in Pach's post made me laugh so hard I got a trademarked glare off my dad. Woo!

Outside Thaum
Moira didn't know which was worse - how she was now cold wet and muddy, which seemed to happen far more often than she would have liked these days. That the fox... oh hell she had no idea what was going on with the fox, other than it hurt her neck a bit to look up at it. Or that the music guy was going off on one again. Yep. He's insane.

What a day.

"Sy, let's go!" she shouted, glancing over to her partner... who was now staring at the fish falling from the sky. He looked a right sorry state, looking around himself with wide eyes like nothing made any sense anymore. Which... yeah he was right. "SY!"

He shook himself out of his thoughts, blinking rapidly at her for a second as he came back to the present. Moira didn't waste any more time checking her partner was with it, since it looked like Lute was going to be keeping the focus of the thing on him. Not that she trusted he could take a hit. She hissed and leapt forward, her heeled boots slipping and sinking into the mud. Damnit, talk about a speed disadvantage!

"We need to disarm it!" Syed shouted, keeping in mind Estelle's words. If they could get the scissors... camera thing off it, then they'd have less to worry about when taking it down. He was already moving his hands in wide gestures, feeling out in the electricity-charged air for the scissors. There! He reached out-

SLAP!

Syed was down, dazed by a particularly large fishy blow to the head. A critical hit! Electricity shot off in a random direction as he fell to the floor.

"Oh for FUCKS SAKE!" Moira bellowed. Not really knowing what to do anymore, and kind of stuck where she was thanks to her downed partner, she did the first thing which jumped into her head.

She threw her hefty greatsword right at the scissors, hoping to knock them right out of the fucker's hands.
I don't really watch much TV earlier lol. Welp. Guess I don't have many hobbies.

I... expanded on stuff in my post. I'm not really sure if that's kosher, sorry if it isn't, but i thought I'd give it a go.

Now I think I'm gonna log off because I feel really ill today, haha!

Outside Thaum
Hundreds of thoughts barraged Syed's brain all at once. Was Marcus okay? He wasn't the sort who could easily be ambushed. Why were they up on some mountain trail? Was the lab up here? He thought it'd have been in the town. If it was up this way, why did Dr Dream think he didn't need any protection when he did travelling around otherwise? If it wasn't... was it a trap?

He was shaken out of his paranoid train of thought when Atlas suddenly stopped, followed by Dylan.

Moira strolled forward, withdrawing her greatsword. She wasn't taking any chances here...

Only for her to stop too. What on earth?!

The sight of a fox wouldn't ordinarily be unusual. A fox standing on two legs holding a camera certainly was though. It kept it's distance from them as it brought up the camera to it's eye, before giving out a yap.

Click!

Moira's expression changed to one of complete and utter disbelief, while Syed looked like his entire world view was crumbling around him. "Wha... wh... wh..." he stammered, sparking a little. Would a camera even be functional in the pouring rain? Why did that thought even cross his mind when a bloody fox was holding it!!!

And with that, the fox turned and began to run further up the track.

"GET BACK HERE YOU LITTLE MUTT!" Moira suddenly bellowed, before jumping to run after it. With her speed she'd never catch it, but she wasn't going to let that put her off.
