Mayt smiled when Sasha showed her power, he looked at the sculpture, putting his sword away and picking it up, not letting go of her hand. "Neat." He offers it back to her, not wanting to just chuck it away. He listens to her talking about how he could control magic, and what he could do with it, he shakes his head. "I can't change the forms of energy, just manipulate what it does. Thus the heat buffer I keep." Sasha hasn't felt it return yet though, for some reason. "I just move that to the blade of my sword, I can't create it. And what would I do with pure magical energy anyway? Drain it from someone so they ca.... I just answered my ow question." He bites his lip, thinking. "Let's see if I can do that some time, not now, obviously, but, sometime."

When Sahsa presented her plan for if they have to stay there Mayt nodded, fully in agreement. "Yeah, avoiding death is my number one concern. How far away should we camp though? I'd personally go with at least half a mile, but a closer place may be just as good." He shrugs, and smiles at her, before looking up at the sky as well. He lets out a long relaxed sigh, feeling comfortable.

He thumbs at the scabbard of his sword, as if contemplating something. He kicks up a loose stone from the ground, letting it bounce off the road. He watches it with an odd amount of interest, before asking, "So, what's life like at the guild? I'm sure it's nice, as you've said, but I wanna really know." He gives her hand a light squeeze and looks at her, waiting for her answer.
Vech clasps his hands. "But the witch you're talking to is safe for now, so, where is the Lord Death probably at?"
Vech looks Elu in the eye. "I hunt witches. I figure the man who trains witch hunters would have use for a warlock that does the same."
"To offer him my services." Vech says a-matter-a-factly.
Mayt chuckles. "Maybe I will be an amazing wizard some day, but for now, I'm just me!" He smiles, blushing a little. "What little I can do now took a good bit of practice as well, but it all is somewhat useful. When I heat up my sword I tend to cut through things better, and the heat I keep around my body allows me to heat it up faster." He draws it again, and the edge turns the bright orange again. He takes her hand in his a second time to show the field of energy around him is gone, and his hand is actually a tad cold. Unthinkingly, he pulls Sasha's hand up and pressed the blunt edge of the blade against her hand. It's ice cold, all the heat sucked out of it. After a moment he moves it off, dropping their hands back to the side, and just looks at the blade.

"I'd still like to know how my parents had known to send me this, maybe it was just luck. I had always been fascinated by swords like these. Maybe they just meant it as a wall ornament. That'd make me feel less like they've been watching me since I left them, which would be creepy." He forgets he's holding on to he hand as he looks over the blade. He smiles and looks back at Sasha. "It's neat, but some things just confuse me about my powers, like why can't I control cold. I can make things cold, sure, but I can't move cold around." He looks contemplative for a moment, the his eyes widen for a moment. "Hold on, if I control energy, does that mean I could control magic?" He looks at her, expecting her to tell him magic isn't energy. "I mean, I don't know what I could do with it, but, is magic even an energy? Or is it more... Ethereal than that?"
Vech sighs. "Any idea where he might be?"
Mayt would listen intently. "That was a fine explanation Sasha. I get what you mean, The limit to how much magic you can do varies based on what powers they use and them personally. It makes sense. And the more they push on that boundary, the bigger it gets." He smiles at her. "And that means I either have a heck of an energy pool or my magic is easy." He draws his sword, spinning it just to show off a little, before holding it out in his right hand. He focuses for a moment, and the blade edge starts to turn orange, like it was in a fire for a long time. "The most tired I've ever been from using magic, I had my sword like this for a few hours, to see how long I could do it. I figured a few hours is longer than I'd ever need to do that, and so I stopped. I was a tad sore the rest of the day though." He chuckles, and the blade returns to its normal color as he sheathes it.

"Of course, that makes sense, if I understand my magic right." He looks at her. "I'm using forces that already exist, just redirecting them. Like with the pebbles earlier, all I was doing was reflecting their motion back at them, causing it to negate itself and stop. And when I'm traveling I wear heavy clothes and just push the excess heat to surround my body instead of be in it. See?" He takes Sasha's hand in his own, and her arm feels very warm near his jacket and hand, but she can feel that both o the objects themselves are a regular temperature. "The only problem is, redirecting it doesn't always work immediately. And whatever it's trying to do happens anyway, like the pebbles hitting my head. I also can only do it in an immediate range of myself, but that's usually enough." He smiles again, and lets go of her hand, letting it fall back to his side. He then looks up from where he was holding her hand, and back up to her face.
Vech chuckles. "I was referring to myself." He crosses his arms. "Where's the Lord Death?"
Vech chuckles slightly. "I'm not even sure who you are, so no, I'm not. I'm here because of the witch." He points at Kari. "Also, you need better security. If you're hunting Witches and Warlocks at the very least they shouldn't be able to just walk right in."
If I've been referring to Vech as Victor I apologize, I have so many characters I often get them mixed up.
