Melina shrugged, and waved at Penny and Damian, indicating for them to come over. "Hey!" She'd yell at them, then turns back the lacrima. "The problem isn't what my magic is as far as learning goes, it's what it takes to recover power. But I understand where your coming from, and I'll point out you aren't the sole target." She smiles a little, "Regardless, I'd like for Mithera to be redirected back to me as soon as possible, since I told you where I'm keeping my hostage." Her nose twitched, and she grabbed the lacrima to send it back under the cage. "It was a good talk though, Master Jamie, I look forwards to our next one." She gave the lacrima a short shove, letting it slide under the 'bars' of her cage, so that Damian or Penny could pick it back up. She crossed her arms, looking at them, and waving them over a second time if necessary.
Melina shrugged, crossing her arms. "My reasons are my own for this fight. And I prefer to stay out of a guild, regardless I figure any where there's someone willing to teach me would be a guild yours will try to shut down." She rubs her nose before returning her hand back under her other arm. "Speaking of which, I notice some of your members are very adamant about believing things are Black and White, and I can say for certain a certain Phoenix is very guilty of this." She glares pointedly at Penny. "But I figure I can't change that, so I'll have to put up with it."

She lets out a little sigh. "I figure you'll probably order them to take me back to the guild, whether to keep me from doing any more unfortunate deeds or getting me out of the way it doesn't matter. I've only ever had Mayt's mother. His dad hasn't been released yet. His mother.is in a cave along the western road a few miles out of town. It's covered up by some vines and trees. Not easy to find, but not too hard if you know what you're looking for." She smiled a little. "And I'm glad to hear Mithera is 'fascinating'. Should I call the Phoenix Swords back over?" She looks over at Penny and Damian again, trying to indicate the joking name was about them.
"You're forgetting one thing Master Jamie. The blood pact can not be voluntarily broken. And we haven't yet resolved it. I can't maim one of your members, nor you, Guild Master, maim me. Unfortunately for me your members aren't held to that pact. Seems to me something like that is worth remembering." Her entire tone suddenly changes to very very conversational. "Oh, and Mayt's mother is doing well, may I ask how Mithera is getting along? Not used to not being able to talk to her." She sounds like they're not rivals remotely, and she starts picking her nails. "And how are you? I haven't seen you recently either." She looks at the Lacrima, which she's left on the ground. Master Jamie easily can see she is exhausted but composed.
Melina laughed, shaking her head to herself. "I'm thinking quite clearly without Mithera master Jamie. And I'm after something far more important than your guild members. But like hell am I telling you what I'm after. You can guess and theorize all you want." She squeezes the Lacrima a little. "Do what you will, I will make it work for me. I won't say what I have planned is flawless, but I haven't lied directly to you or your fire mage Jamie, and I believe I'm winning this battle of wits... So, your move Guild Master." Melina smiled.
Mayt went home almost immediately after the train arrived, barely waving to Sasha and Angelo. Once he got home, he crashed without changing, thinking about what had happened. After a few moments, he wondered why the person who had blackmailed him was now threatening Sasha and her sister. He was worried, lengthening the normal five minutes it would normally take to him to fall asleep, to no longer being able to sleep at all. Why? What does she gain? He thought, getting up and deciding to head towards the guild, thinking. There was nothing the witch could gain, that he could see anyway.
Melina bit her lip for a moment. "But how was I to know it wasn't you making the ash? I can only tell who's doing what if I have their blood. I didn't have either your or his blood. So that reduces some of your arguments invalid. I don't know your abilities, or didn't know your abilities. But I did know you controlled fire. Ash is what fire leaves behind once it has consumed its driving energy." Melina leans back a little, overly calm for the dangerous position she's in. "And how would I know you knew I was the one you were looking for? Besides. I was willing to talk until the ash. Too late now." She leans forwards, coming close to slitting her neck with a blade. "I haven't lied once since we've met. I haven't lied to you, and I didn't lie to your guild master when we met two months ago. You have no reason not to believe me yet." She sat back on her heals, confident. "Do I need to break down everything I said? Or will you come to the proper conclusions? Or, are you in fact, so close minded and so vehemently believe your right that everything that comes out of my mouth is a lie."
Mayt nodded. "Yeah, I understand. But I have no clue what happened to Wes, I doubt I ever will understand what happened. But, hell, I barely understand my own magic." He boarded the train behind Sasha, but sits on the seat across from her. "And I'll admit I'm not the best with keeping up with current events. So I've probably missed some events, but I've noticed a few happenings..." His stare goes blank for a moment as he stares out the window at the people, going silent almost as if that was the last thing he would ever need to say. He sighs, closing his eyes and leaning against the window. "Angelo, look after Sasha when we get back, I need to go to sleep."

Says the guy who should have posted by now but is too busy playing Ark Age to post

ArcheAge* And I'm about to post, It's okay. (And i was playing Terraria with people who wanted to play Terraria with me, and I have more of myself invested in them than this Rp... But it's still my fault for not posting.)

Edit: As a side note, if I sound really pretentious in the latest post, it's because I've been talking to VERY pretentious and VERY analytic people today.
Sorry, life kinda snuck on me, I'll post soon and keep it rolling.
Oh jeez, I hate it for you, get better ASAP! And that's an order! *Meant in a joking friendly way.*
Melina put her bloody hands up. "Whoa whoa, a sneak and a liar? And when did I lie to you? I told you you couldn't find who you were looking for without me. That was true, seeing as I was the person you were looking for. Then your friend here started giving everyone asthma was his ash and I reacted! Jeeze." She turned her head to the Lacrima Damian was holding. "And I wasn't doing anything until that guy," she points at Nolan. "Started choking people with his ash." She crossed her arms. "My reaction was to try and stop him."
Mayt nodded, and crossed his arms. "I doubt many people have the means to catch a firebug like her. And I'm sure the guild's fine, but we might as well go back. As you said, we can't do much more here. And Mithera can make it back on her own. She got here on her own didn't she?" He chuckled a little, jogging a little ahead and getting everyone tickets for the train. "You can use a lacrima while we're on the train to make sure everything and everyone's alright.
Melina just watched Damian, glancing at James and Penny. Her hands rested in the drained blood, her hands and her shins now covered with it as it continues to spread and flow into cracks and crannies. "Normally, letting this happen would be detrimental, when fighting a blood mage." She says this in an almost everyday tone, looking at Damian. "But I'm sure you've already figured that out, Mr. Swordman and Miss Firebug." She glances at Penny, before returning her gaze to Damian.
Mayt rubbed the back of his head. "Hey, it's fine Sasha. Not like it hurts to check right? I bet she just has a few scratches at worst. But I guess it'd be good to know if I'm right about that. I guess we all have the right to freak out every once and a while." He wrapped an arm around Sasha gently. "I'd rather you say something and be sad, than you having to put up with all of it on the inside. And I'm sure Angelo feels the same." He casts a glare at Angelo to see if he nods or shakes his head, but Mayt's look indicates the correct answer would be to agree.
