Someone could probably land a pretty bad blow on Mayt right now if they weren't stupid about it.
Mayt growled as she tried to shock him, and he grabbed her her wrist, wrenching it about as hard as he could manage. He turned and started taking heavy steps towards his sword, some of the electricity getting through, but most if it not. He tightened his grip around her neck as he picked up his weapon of choice. He lifts her up as he stabs her completely through the stomach, before throwing her down and as far away as he could before falling to his knee. "Don't... Fucking get up. Or I'll stab you somewhere more... More vital." He coughed heavily, having a bit of trouble getting up. He let his weapon drop to the floor again, rubbing his mouth with his hand to find a bit of blood. He hoped this wouldn't leave him too badly damaged. --- The Rune Knight that was unfortunate enough to attack Melina soon found a knife in his armpit, and then in his neck, and utterly surprised by the agility of the small woman. Melina laughed cruelly as she watched him die, and a couple other Rune Knights came over to deal with her, seeing her as an actual threat now, more coming around the corner in both directions now. Smiling, she bent down to the dying knight, stabbing him through the eye to end him quicker. She rolled her shoulders and stood up. "Blood Queen." She felt the blood of the corpse start to form her armor and scythe. She smiled and moved into a combat stance to deal with the knights, only planning on fighting for just a little bit.
Seeing as Mayt does have a good grip on Carrie's neck, would it be okay for her to get survivably stabbed?
I'm back from dinner that I left for an hour and so ago. Damn, Carrie doesn't know when to stop does she?
Mayt smiled as he watched the wind up for the punch, he moved stopped moving, letting it come full force at him, and it stopped just before contact, and negating all of Carrie's momentum built up in the attack. Mayt immediately grabbed her wrist before she could realize why she stopped moving and retreat it. He dropped his sword and his other hand went to her side, draining her of heat in that area and pushing her own electricity back into her. "For someone who knows what their opponents magic is, you sure do let your guard down." After a moment he turned and threw her into the nearest book case, before going over to her and attempting to grab her again, ignoring the growing soreness in his arms from the electricity he couldn't stop while he was holding her. --- Melina continued walking as she came to the library, hearing the fights going on within. She turned, facing the running Rune Knights, and barring her knife, watching them come closer. She licked her lips. "Oh, I'm going to enjoy this a *whole* bunch." She almost giggled as one of the group headed for her, the rest of them heading for Jamie and Jarvis. She watched the Rune Knight carefully, waiting for him.
Mayt just continued approaching Carrie, still controlling every bit of lightning she threw at him. He was annoyed that he couldn't throw it back, and he winced as occasionally a bit of the electricity would dace across his skin, but ultimately he movement was continuously in the direction of Carrie, spurred on by the knowledge that he could likely outlast her in a fight like this. "I don't give a rat's ass what Jamie did or didn't do. You have no right to barge in here and try to harm people that not only had no idea what Jamie was going to do, but that you don't even know Jamie speaks for. Now, all we want is a damn *book* and I won't have to do something I may regret." --- Melina growled as Jamie yanked the council witch out of her way. "I wasn't going to *kill* her! I haven't gotten a chance to recover my magic since that skirmish with your fire mage and others the others yesterday. I was only going to make her bleed a little." She huffed, and turned around, facing the Rune Knights coming around the corner. "Guess I'll just have to bleed a few of these guys." She smiled a bit, and started heading towards the library entrance, giving Jamie a little wave. "Later." --- Mithera pulled up just before she hit the roof, instead landing heavily on it and leaving scratches that'd be impossible to get out. She climbed over to the side of the building the library was on, looking for windows, as well as keeping a lookout for anyone with the intention of causing harm to the dragoness.
Mayth blushed again. And took the cookie cookie back. And nodded when Kalinda explained Tori's fascination with Sweats. "D-doesn't surprise me, f-from such a sweet girl, she has to get it from somewhere." He got up quickly and started eating the cookie. "S-see you two in c-class then." He started to head for the exit to the cafeteria to head back to class, nervous still, but clearly opening up a bit to the two. When he got back to class he sat in the place he had sat before.
Alright, I need to head to bed as well. Good night everyone, we can finish kicking everyone's asses tomorrow.
Mayt managed to stop the electricity, but not the kick, and he went stumbling back roughly. And as Damian started to move for an attack, Mayt just missed grabbing him by his shirt. "My god... Can we not have Plan A as 'Beat up everyone!'? Christ." He rubbed his chest where he had been kicked. "Seriously, you all are a bunch of lunatics. I'm just here trying to get a damn book, and one woman flips the hell out over us not leaving instantly on her request. Another guy comes in, and now we're fighting him too! God damn, can't anyone be civilized?" He simply held up his sword towards the lightning from Carrie, any getting near him being forced into the sword. "Seriously. This is getting utterly ridiculous." He tapped his sword on the ground, discharging the electricity carefully into the floor. He started to walk towards Carrie, absorbing any other attacks in a similar manner, though some would begin to get a little through if she kept it up. "I didn't join this guild to fight people. I didn't do it to get back at the magic council. I didn't even do it for money. But it seems to be the only things it's been delivering best on so far." He would simply follow Carrie if she tried to get away, taking each attack she throws at him in one form or another. --- Melina snarled a little as she heard people running down the corridor, and she moved quickly towards the Council member, drawing her knife out, as she heard the Rune Knights come around the corner, she lunged forward, aiming for the mage's lower back. --- Mithera turned and flew across the town, no longer caring about her shadow alerting those below she wasn't a bird like she was pretending she was. As she neared the council building, she angled herself down to crash into the roof of the Council Chamber, knowing she could probably break through it.
Melina had slipped into the council building and was making her way towards the library as fast as she could, avoiding the fights. _Everyone in this place must be insane._ She moved on slowly to another corner, and spotted Master Jamie dealing with one of the council members, or who she assumed was a council member. She smiled a bit, and moved carefully so that Master Jamie could see her, but not the council woman. Melina gave Jamie a little wave and a smirk, before starting to move towards the two at a pace that made her footsteps silent. There was a dangerous glint in her eyes, suggesting as to what she might be thinking. --- Mayt had been getting progressively closer, not willing to trust his powers to the point that he might get seriously wounded. But when Damian shouted for him to attack, he charged forward, redirecting or capturing any energy thrown at him, trying to get into reach. As he got closer, he grabbed for the council Mage's side, hoping to be able to knock her out. He did his best to get his arms around her, one hopefully around her head or neck, as he began to focus all the heat he could, save is own, into the air behind him.
