Cool, So the max life of a Pokemon is in the upper one hundreds? Assuming 31 IVs in HP = 31 starting HPs

IVs cannot be changed (unless you hack) as they are determined by "encounter." When you find a Pokémon in the wild or hatch an egg, it's IVs are determined right then. You can breed Pokémon for better IVs as it is rare to find one in the wild with good IVs. In ORAS, all legendary Pokémon have at least 3 perfect IVs. > > EVs: Effort Values, aka how trained they are. He looked surprised for a moment, before clearing his throat and speaking **"All I need is for my legs to wake up, thanks Karn."** He groaned and rolled his shoulders. **"And maybe a massage."** He grabbed his right shoulder and massaged it best he could with one hand, before looking down at himself. Deciding he looked like a mess he started to take off his jacket and toss it aside, since it was more ruined than the shirt beneath. He looked at his now mostly bare arms, since his shirt beneath his jacket was just short sleeves. He puffed, and looked over at Penny and the others. --- ####Melina ####Council Library Melina watched Karn prance around, saying hello to just about everyone but her, and giving hugs. She chuckled a bit at the wizard before speaking, making sure to catch his attention. **"So you're the one Mithera was going off about earlier."** The Blood Witch walked over to Karn, and made him look at her, grabbing him by the jaw and pulling his face so they were looking eye-to-eye. **"Hm."** She let go and took a step back, before holding out her hand. **"I'm Melina, well met Karn."** She gave him a sinister smile. **"Mithera's... Partner in crime, you could say."** Chuckling, she'd put her other arm on her side.

Where the hell's my sword? I need that."** He crossed his arms, looking somewhat grumpy about it not being on the floor where he left it. --- ####Mithera ####Kabo City Outskirts Mithera watched Karn climb onto her back, and nodded once he had. **"Just kick me like you would a horse if I get too high for you to breath, I'm not going to risk flying straight over the city again."** She shifted herself side to side, getting used to how he was sitting before standing up and taking a half step back. She spread he wings and took two bounding steps before she was airborne, flapping heavily to get herself higher. She climbed fairly rapidly into the sky, and flew upwards until she was no longer within range of even most magical bows. She circled the city a bit, dropping lower should Karn kick her sides, trying to find the council building again. Once she did, she started slowly descending, opting out of just diving straight to it like she normally would. She alighted in front of the building, and growled at any nearby Rune Knights that show any indication of wanting to attack her before lying on her belly so Karn could get off. **"Everyone's in the library, mostly."**
