Mayt looked over at Penny, skewing his face a little, and frowned a little bit as she got up. ”What do I say though? I’d be the minority in the situation regardless.” He sighed, and grimaced as Penny went off, but smiled a bit when she brought him his Katana. Taking it with both hands he put it across his lap. ”Thanks.” He nodded politely and motioned that she could sit next to him. As the Council Member asked about his weapon, he held it up and ran his hand along the blade’s ‘scar’. ”I think it’s custom forged, I don’t know from where though. My birth parents gave it to me on one of my birthdays, and I haven’t gotten a chance to ask where to got it.” He spun it once, carefully, before sheathing it. ”Looked nicer before I somehow managed to char it. Heaven knows how the hell I did that.” ---------------------------------------------

Melina smiled, enjoying the fact that this was becoming a battle of words. ”Whether or not I fear becoming caring, I doubt your guild would appreciate someone who will kill first, ask questions later.” She twirled her knife to demonstrate this, smiling. ”And it’s hard to be a renegade when you’re having to report to some above power.”

I was actually thinking that if the katana broke, then Mayt would probably go on his own quest to repair it, finds some kind of blacksmith wizard or something, he doesn't really restore the katana to how it was before, but actually added some kind of magic to the hilt and broken blade still attached that is only activated when Mayt uses his magic. Like maybe a blade of extremely heated light, like a lazer, extends out, similar to that of the monado from Xenoblade Chronicles.

Mayt just listened to Penny as she talked, checking several different books before deciding he didn't like the entire section. "I have no idea who took my Katana." Would be his first response, before he turns around to face Penny. "I guess if you consider me coming here a good thing. To be completely honest, I was thinking about leaving Phoenix Wing before the whole S-Class hullabaloo." He puffed, leaning back, not looking at Penny. "I'm not now, obviously, it'd be pointless now." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Melina laughed at the suggestion of joining Phoenix Wing. "We both know me joining Phoenix Wing wouldn't end well. For more than one reason." She crossed her arms, still chuckling a little. "I'd tarnish your reputation in a way only I know how, besides, all I'm after is maybe any knowledge you possibly have on blood magic, naturally." She grinned at him. "Would hate to be... Ineffecient with my magic."
