Marie sighed, she tapped her foot and watched as a small child picked up a dollar-and a lollipop-just across the street from her. This made Marie smile, she waved at the girl that stood there, now holding her mother's hand. The girl gave her a colorful smile and waved back, waving her dollar bill in the air as if she had just won the lottery. With a small chuckle and a frown she couldn't quite explain Marie turned, now sitting on the ground and waiting for the magical school bus that had yet to take her away.
It seemed that as soon as the streets cleared the bus arrived, as if by magic. It drove into the small lot she sat in, a cheery looking man opened up the old school yellow door. He gave her a curt wave and a tip of his hat before announcing his name, "name's Ron Wilson, I'll be your bus driver this year." He stated it officially, but with an offset of care and of kindness. Marie nodded towards him and waved her hand in the same sweet greeting. She walked up to him and fished around in her jean pocket, taking out a five dollar bill in the hopes it would pay for the ride. She knew that the bill hadn't been there before...but it was a good payment method. "Thanks, Ron. My name is Marie." Her tone of voice was slim and strong, she smiled bravely and walked towards the nearest empty seat.
As she landed in the seat next to the man with a phantom cat she waved at him, pulling a book of fortunes out of her backpack and starting to read. "Hi." She said sternly, pulling out a
simple pair of reading glasses and putting them on.
