Moonbeam put up another wall of defenses, then tried to stop her physical attacker. She closed her eyes and the shadows enveloped him in a cocoon, masses of shadow drew over him, burying him. She didn't want to kill him, just restrain him

Lauren gave her a genuine smile. "Welcome to the Halcyon, my name's Lauren. Just wait here a bit, I need to stay here to see if more students come. What's your name??"

Moonbeam whispered, "Help, please." she reinforced her wind barriers and winced with each ram it took at her. The shadows around the stranger suddenly became living and coiled around his feet, trying to hold him back, snaking up his chest

Lauren saw another boy step over to the Savant area and noted his polite speech, "You're welcome, here are the Savant papers, if more join you should all appoint a leader over yourselves." She handed papers to the other girl who had walked to Sedition, "Here are the Sedition papers, appoint a leader over yourselves if more arrive." she went back up to the steps and waited for more students to come, to direct them to where they needed to go.
